Mine was untouched before this started. It has risen 1 hp through being run in. So I was 511 hp. Then I removed some parts and added others, 493 hp. Then I shuffled parts once more to 497 hp. Moved the ballast to -1 and the speed went from 320 to 322 the next run. Then I went to bed.

I'm sure a good tuner could do 322 @ 493 hp but I didn't have the time or the talent to try it yet.

I tried at 493 for almost an hour and was stuck at 199mph then I ran it in to 495 and barely got 200mph. It would take some trick I don't know about or lots of time and fine tuning to do it at 493.

Just a quick reminder Mafs:
Car: E55
Power: 599hp
Weight: 2060kg
kg/hp: 3.35 (aprox., can't remember)
Top speed achieved: 202mph

Mafs, when you've calmed down from your swearing fit, can I just say:
1) My rice was like stone cuz of you and your kicking antics
2) I quit cuz you were like a 5 year old boy who could swear and my mum was sat bang next to the TV speaker with you swearing out like a drunk :D For such a grown man, you do act like the most infantile child on the mic

If you're the host then kick people when you're needed, otherwise leave the damn room and come back after dinner!! :grumpy: I did say sorry at the time to you anyway so I did feel bad about spoiling your food. :( Hell, you guys vote-kick me as host when I fall asleep in the room.

I'm used to it, he was probably swearing from the first moment he could speak…

Mafia's mum- 'Say mummy!'

3 year old Mafs- '****, ****,****,****, s***, s***, s***, s***, s***, s***' *sticks up middle finger*

 :dopey:

 Well, now you're needed to updated my E55's stats! As said, 2060kg, 599hp, 3.38kg/hp.

And I saw that post! I'm guessing your first sentence was something along the line of 'Don't treat me like a ****ing retard! I know you're my parents!'

Edit: Did the run with 175kg ballast, still did 202mph! Going to do 200kg ballast. Car now weighs 2110kg with 599hp. kg/hp is 3.47. If it can still do 200, I'll take the ECU chip off.

Editing the Edit: Still doing 201mph in the tunnel with 2110kg and 599hp. Pulls like a train.

Well…I'm going to try a fully ballasted Dodge RAM Lardy Hemi Pickup Truck, 340hp, 2500+kg, very high kg/hp.

I found this thread a week or so ago but didn't find time to give this a whirl till now. I did offline testing cause the network is down. And I didn't see the comments about the Ram pickup till now either.

I took out the Ram, from the UCD so no oil change, added racing soft tires cause I am not sure if extra grip would help or hurt getting to 200 MPH, added the supercharger and racing exhaust. I don't know how to tune the trans so I just hit default and then moved the final gear to 203 MPH.

Tested and got a max of 144 MPH through the tunnel. Without the forced air or exhaust, the thing barely got above 130 MPH. The main problem is that it is not very aerodynamic so it doesn't cut through the wind very well. Maybe if i drop it closer to the ground?

I am going to find something non-German to make it to 200 cause I can't stand Mercedes.

Any quick tips would be appreciated. :)

The problem will be getting a powerful enough car with the weight. The German collection are heavy and have a fair amount of torque. Next comes the American cars I suppose.

That is most certainly true but as someone has already proven, it doesn't have to be heavy. It can be light but weaker as with the NSX-R.

I was hoping to try like the Toyota Sports 800 (or is a 600?) or something really aerodynamic with absolutely no power. Maybe a Spitfire. Or a CR-X? hmmm....

I have a car in mind that'll do the job nicely…

This sounds interesting. But I want to clarify two things:
1. We start at the hairpin and end at the end of the tunnel.
2. We have to be doing 200mph at the end, rather than at any time during the run.

I think they're both correct.

Yes
No

We have to get it to reach 200 throughout the tunnel, not exiting the tunnel. I think. :D

As much as I love my Spitfire I'm almost positive it won't reach 200mph. Pretty sure the others you just mentioned can't either.

Doubt it can do it but I'm planning on giving one of my Citroên C4s a try real soon. Kermit can do 175-180 with serious power limiting and sport softs at 500PP at La Sarthe in the French seasonals. So a full power one might just squeak it out though the power-weight ratio won't be great by the standards of some of the cars already listed.

Offline I got to 200 with the Cizeta V16T stock with 200kg ballast, SS Tyres. I'll do it online later on and see if I can repeat it through the tunnel.

Just so long as you get it to 200 IN THE TUNNEL, it's all good. As savage said, the end of the tunnel becomes a slight incline as you go around the bend.

Okay I got to 201 offline like I said but I can't go online for some reason as the GT servers are down for maintenance. As soon as I can I'll add mafia_boy on PSN and join his lounge and prove it.

Tried my Citroên C4. Only managed 191mph. Manual transmission might get you a couple extra mph but seriously doubt it is enough for 9 extra mph.

Going to have to look elsewhere for my oddball.

You won't be able to add me on PSN as I already have 100 friends. Just look for rooms with "GME & FRIENDS" and I'll be there.

Not hard to do, I do over that in a tunnel drag (I get 201mph from a standing start in a tunnel drag).

Yeah it was kinda easy, I took my foot off of the gas after I hit 200, and I'll restore the motor to see how much more hp I can get out of it

Edit: maxed out at 202mph
