couldn't care less about, hopefully maybe someone will do something stupid and ruin the whole day (if only), technically I work in the UK but I'm working on Friday and also on Monday again, so just another normal weekend for me.

I've only been to 1 wedding before, which was about 18 years ago. I could say a lot more regarding my 'thoughts' on this royal wedding but I'll stop now.

Ah, the Royal Wedding, which has received so much media coverage even here in the north. I'm personally not interested, my attention is in this weekend's MotoGP round instead.

And what do we in the UK get in terms of media coverage, a front page story (guess which news paper ) about how Kate is supposedly having recurring dreams about walking down the aisle, uh....naked.

Oh c'mon, seriously?

The Sun? lol

^Because the Queen would totally say something like that. /rolleyes

Apparently even Queen Victoria had more of a sense of humour than some, though.

Why does the St George Cross say something different (in a negative sense)? Its merely a flag representing England, as opposed to the government of the UK. If its negative to be patriotic to England, why not the UK? Why don't we fly the EU flag? Or a World flag?
I have no problem with the English flag, sometimes I prefer to use it as it is my actual nationality as far as birthplace/parents is concerned. Personally I find the St. George Cross kind of refreshing to see as it doesn't have the reputation of the government attached to it.

My problem with the St. George Cross is with every brain-dead, drunk, obnoxious, brawling scumbag that chooses to represent it through their idiotic actions. It represents stupid flags flapping from the windows of a badly-driven Vauxhall Corsa during every football tournament, and footballers gang-raping adolescents rather than concentrating on playing football.

That's not the sort of thing I like to be associated with and it's why I never really feel that patriotic. I prefer the Union Jack because that's more likely to evoke images of "Queen and Country", Winston Churchill, red double-deckers, red phone boxes, rolling countryside, E-Type Jags and Spitfires.

And I know all that stuff is a load of twee, stereotypical crap, but I prefer twee stereotypes to any connotation of a rioting, shaven-headed gurning England-shirted moron causing havoc abroad in someone else's city.

I'm going shopping on Friday, hopefully it'll be nice and quiet while everyone is watching the wedding!

Might be because I'm from Germany or not in politics at all, but, I can not tell you all how much I am not interested in all of this. For me, it's two rich people marrying, not more, totally boring.

Our royal family is German. You should have more interest in it than i do, which to be fair is zilch.

I'm sorry, who the hell gives a rat's ass about these two people getting married? Like, honestly, its the media thats making this a big story. The media wants money, so they make stories like this a big news and make everyone care about it. In my opinion, I think that Canada should stop supporting the queen, and even though its tradition, the UK should too. She's got absolutely no use in Canada other than the fact that she represents us by sitting all day with some crown on her head, doing nothing for the Canadian people other than the occasional visit.

Hey, what's up with this little cute unicorns things everyone has?

You'll find everything you want to know here.

Anyway, I'm seeing alot more of the St George's Cross in my area today that I have over the past couple of days. There's still quite a few Union Jack's around though.

Thx.

Lmao. Some guy was sleeping without a tent and the reporter guy goes, "People are camping out in tents-- some people don't even have tents. [So and so name] here came all the way from Mexico to view the Royal Wedding. (Camera moves to sleeping man) Of course, he's still sleeping."

I laughed so hard, remembering the Top Gear-Mexico controversy. Hopefully those three pick up on this segment.

Anyway, I can't believe how disgusting these English girls look. Did anyone bother to comb or brush their hair when they got dressed this morning?

I don't get what is the big deal, it is just another wedding.

1: They are not realated to you so why watch their wedding?
2: Why broadcast it on all channels, annoying those whom don't want to see it.

It's not just another wedding, it's a royal wedding. I'm sure lots of people would like to see royal weddings... they don't happen very often and it seems like Engerlund's are the most popular.

Tut tut, Grayfox... that's no way to speak about your future king and queen :P

The guests filing into the Abbey right now resemble an explosion at Harvey Nichols.
