The wedding is waste of money according to me. According to me, all people are equal, only the prophets was holy (if you are religious). In other words, the wedding is as much important to me as if i were taking a piss in the toilet. Enough said.

The only thing that matters is that people are making important contacts and business, hence most of the people are only there for political and financial interests.

Another funny thing is, who is paying for all this luxury things? I hope its not the tax payers, ince UK has enormous problems with the economy.

Second, David Beckham and his freak wife from Spice Girls? Hmm, there you go, you dont have to be educated to be rich and famous. And whats will all these "arabs" sheiks etc, how can they invide those blood thirsty dictators? Pretty funny, oil, oil, oil.....

Im very political correct, but seriously, some people dont have any business in the western world.....

News just in, Mi5 identify Glaswegian man in terrorist threat against Royal Wedding :P
 I thought better of making a joke about that, given that you can still get arrested in the UK for posting stuff on Twitter/internet forums.

@Al-Q: the cod in Truro are particularly shiny at this time of year

And the B-list members of the Royal Family look resplendent in their VW mini-buses...

Have you seen the amount of tat on display here that people have bought. Let alone the amount of tourists who've come over for it. The wedding cost about £10 million, I bet its put a hell of a lot more than that back into the economy.

I dont care, they dont deserve those things. According to the old testament, people trying to glorifying themselves in a such extent, should be punished.

But i guess you are royalists, worshiping idols...

How presumptious and arrogant of you to assume what I am. I made a counter argument about your 'waste of money argument' and you come back with a snide attempt at putting me down. It is not their fault they are born into this role, they have a duty to uphold and they are doing that. I'm sure you redistribute all the money you earn and don't buy anything you do not need for your own personal gain, such as a computer

In matter of fact, i dont missuse money, and i were rich, i wouldnt spend money on houses, cars, etc. I would help poor people.

From the person who just posted in the 'show off your latest purchase' thread

That is cool, you can do with your money what you want, when you have it.

And people are all equal in the sense they all have the same rights. Doesn't mean they are born into the same situations, or get the best bit of the genetic lottery. Equal rights != equal entitlement.

Enough, TT3AZ.

We get that you disapprove of a public event of this nature. But this thread is not becoming your soapbox, and you won't post stupid, offensive remarks like the one you just added to your last post, which has been deleted.

It must be cold in England right now....:P

 I just said that to the wife! I couldn't help laughing at the commentator (a dress designer or something I think) who said she was overcome by the occasion because it was such a huge fashion moment (or words to that effect)!

The cost to British industry is around 5-6 billion pounds... I doubt that Chinese made tat that people are buying is not putting that much back into our economy.

I understand but, as far as i know, its just information, weither you like it or not. Me criticising the Royal family isnt enough reason to delete...

It is, it is off-topic... this thread is about the wedding and that's all. Anyway, that is not why your post was deleted. It was your comment regarding Diana's "assassination" that merited the deletion. Either way, we're not discussing it any further in this thread. PM me if you want to discuss it further. Any further off-topic posts will be deleted too.

You should really stop with this. This wedding does form a 'complete' part of the monarchy, you know? Clearly, there's not much more that's been more important than any of these...almost ever.

Well congrats to them both, I wish them a long, happy, and scandal free marriage...

Can't help thinking the ceremony might have been less dull if

a) They both smiled a little...

b) Elton John got up and did "Saturday nights alright (for fighting)" rather than dull hymns the congregation does not appear to know the tune of...

Presume you guys in the US are getting the same BBC feed that we have here. It is really overcast and chilly here, any day last week would have been better for it!

Can't believe how young kate's mother looks. Thought the wedding dress would be much more complex than it was but it looks pretty good on her.

The Beckham's looked like royality! certainly the only footballer invited... oh and they are going on about samantha cameron's faux par of not wearing a hat, seriously does it matter?

oh and who are those 3 blonde chicks?

Robin.

An expression of the vanity of the human race.

Do you go congratulate every couple who gets married in your neighbourhood? If not, why are you watching this?

Katherine = Stunning
Katherines sister = Ubber stunning
Katherines mum = Not "stunning" but looks nice
Camilla = Looks like someone from the cast of shrek.

And to all those complaining, its britian, thats how we like our royal weddings.

And also, why on earth did the queen make them have to use the Duke and Duchess name, not just prince and princess which sounds much better.

Yes, thats tru, i also think the same. From my view, the royals are just welthfare takers. Why are they getting all attention? They are just partying, drug dealing crooks. I have evidence on all this. Oh, it was good times when they throw out the tsar from sovjet, hope it will happen with european monarks as well :)
