Is it because of the influx of people downloading at the same time?

Go look on youtube or Google for " ps3 recovery menu " choose #4 restore ps3 database. This will help.

Gutted that the money isn't repeatable, I would have hammered this to death. It would make an excellent, entertaining alternative to farming the red bulls for money.

So it is a fantastic new game mode, that I will sadly only do once. If they actually thought about it, the potential immense. This could be an entirely new long term game mode, and the Nordshleife could integrated into it aswell.

Agreed. Completing each race should have unlocked a suitably PP graded open version where you can use garage cars for a suitable reward, repeatedly. I've got several cars I'd like to put through the passing challenge, but my interest in the specific three cars they give us is limited.

This photo shows 600 million granturismo credits. I haven't got the time to try to earn cash, but is this the new credit limits?

In Sierra Time Rally, I experience some stutter every now and then as I drive. In one occasion it was bad enough to interrupt my cornering and I ended in the wall...Some walls are pretty awful with the invisible barriers btw.

PS: did anyone yet notice that the GTO '84 actually get SS tires on the rear and SM tires in front in this event? Quite odd..

Challenge setup that is all. Car has a bit of oversteer, so putting SM on the front and SS on the rear will compensate for the aggresive oversteer.

Why, oh why, must they lock SRF on in the Sierra time trials? I was ready to mock, but it's a great game mode and a great track. But it's completely impossible for me to enjoy with the wonky physics with SRF on.

SRF is locked on for the 500PP Sports Car Quick Match too!

I assume it's because it loads new cars and/or parts of the track.

Amazingly fun track, but I have to agree on both accounts. You see a barrier, and that's not where the invisible wall is. This track shows the PS3 has hit a technical wall. The track side detail is pretty sparse, but even loading up the 2D trees in the distance causes the game to stutter on that track.

Yeah as much as I am enjoying the track, technically it's a bit of a mess with lots of stuff popping up in the distance and I've experienced the stutter too. This huge track & rally mode with so many cars loading in are probably pushing the poor old PS3 beyond its limit. Hope it doesn't kill my PS3

Complete the 500 abarth event, it's the easiest. Then it will be unlocked - there is no other way sadily

It wasn't prior to the quick match maintenance if I recall. Now they're all ruined. Good job Polyphony. Good job.

Just done some 500pp quickmatch... So this is the new shuffle.
Thank god the tyres are correct.

But noticed that sometimes SRF will be on and other times not.
Also suspect the boost setting is on weak in most lobbys

Anyone got more info about these settings? And if the settings are just random?

Another interesting little tidbit: in the Time Rally, your car gets racing number 99 as you start it. However, as I golded the event and watched the replay of it with the GTO, the number on the car displayed changed to 1!
I'm thinking maybe it reflects your friends leaderboard ranking (currently none of my friends have driven it yet)?

Anyone noticed that the Sierra Time Rally box you click on from within the Sierra special event has a completely random and incongruous pic of the Lexus IS-F Touring Car, a vehicle which does not appear anywhere in the events?

Edit: Good lord the update is slow to install. I think I've been waiting for 45 minutes now. This is like installing GT5 all over again.

In the end I had the countdown at 0 seconds. For about a minute.

Mine went to 1 min, back to 2min, down to 1 min, then back to 2 min. When it finally got to 0, it stayed there for a few min before finishing.

If the time remaining bounces around, up and down, just wait it out.

The Super GT race? Ok, that would make sense why I absolutely blasted the competition in that race. Will be my go-to QM race.
