An interesting twist would be if the governor does something reprehensible, like threaten Judith or start torturing Andrea that finally pushes Milton and he kills the governor.
Was an interesting episode, can't say something seemed a tad...cliche in a way. The whole Andrea chase part. Despite this, I'm still curious as to what will happen to Tyresse in the TV show compared to the comic.
Not sure if I should put this as a spoiler text, and I apologize if it should be. Although...it's not much. I just remember hearing that there will be a "major death," in the next episode.
I just hope it was to make it blatantly obvious that the governor is full-on cuckoo for cocoa puffs. Make him hit every serial killer horror movie cliche so there is no going back and thinking things could be different if Rick weren't at the edge of his own sanity.
By far one of the best shows on tv right now in my opinion. Love the thrill factor and of course Darryl. Am looking forward to seeing what the finale will bring. Never disappoints. It will be strange to have the show without Rick though and am eager to see how the dynamic changes without him.
That's a crazy episode. Finaly Meril is dead. I think Meril intentionally took Michonne to give to the governer because he knew the governor would of just killed them instantly if rick gave her. Than he figured screw it I mine as well release her and just try to kill everyone especially the governer.
One thing I never got - why did Maggie get mad at Glen when he was concerned if she was raped? Especially the scene when she's alone on the bunk bed and Glen comes round and after he "gets his answer" she sort of smacks him away lol?

I think it goes a lot deeper than that. Remember throughout the second half, Merle kept mentioning his demons, how many men he killed, that he was the bad guy, that he knew Rick would never actually go through with giving up Michonne.

But when Glen apologized it was explained. She just wanted his support and he wanted to know for himself. She needed him there for her and he was just feeding his rage.
Being married I knew he was screwing up the way he approached the situation. He should have said only two things; 1) Are you OK? 2) When/if you want to talk about it, let me know. I'll be here for you.

Ya I watched it again and Rick says to Meril near the beginning do you have know why you do things. Meril said he had no idea why he does anything it just happens. So I guess this time he figured Rick knows why he's doing this and it is something that he would never do. It showed him that Rick was a real man who does what needs to be done. Got him thinking I know I don't want or would never do this but it needs to be done.

He was having creative differences with the producers of the show and has chosen to leave. Instead of having someone like Daryl step in as leader they are replacing Rick with one of the creators of the show. He is going to become the new leader. How Rick exits is still being kept under raps but it will be the beginning of next season.

I could not agree more. The new guy looks like a pansy and a "suit". I would rather see Hershal take the lead if Daryl couldn't as opposed to a stranger.
I know the title says *spoiler alert* but c'mon! You guys are giving away a bit much with the Rick stuff don't ya think?
If this is related to the comics or was shown on the little previews after the episode then ignore me, but other than that should we really be talking about it? It just feels wrong to me.
No they are killing the character off all together from what the last details said. They are trying to reach an agreement due to fan outrage but it is still up in the air whether they can encourage him to stay.
Yeah but if you're someone like me who doesn't read anything about the production it's not gonna be something you'd know, and it feels like a different kind of spoiler. I honestly don't know what's allowed under the spoiler alert but if that is it's cool I'll just stay out of the thread. 👍

It sounds more like you are talking about this, the show runner, Glenn Mazarra leaving over creative differences with creator Robert Kirkman, and being replaced by one of the original writers, Scott Gimple.
Do you have a link? When I look for Andrew Lincoln leaving The Walking Dead I find one Yahoo Answers question about it and an interview with Andrew Lincoln where he says the gruesomeness of the show has put a lot of them on edge and that it was almost too much for him when he cut of Herschel's leg.
You say the new guy looks like a pansy (makes me wonder if you've seen Andrew Lincoln or David Morrissey anywhere else) and a "suit." Is it this guy?
No I read this one as well. But a few months back there was the reports of Andrew Lincoln not liking how far the show goes ie the gruesome scenes and the Lori dying at the hands of her son and he was asking to leave. He didn't want his character replaced so they were angling to kill him off and replace him with a new leader. Since fans were outraged they are now looking to find a middle ground to save Rick.
I need a link before I believe it. I don't doubt that you believe it, but the Internet is full of two things: 1) BS rumors and 2) Flaming fanboys. If this isn't #1 then #2 should be lighting up the Internet. As a Lost fan it became very easy to separate rumors from the facts. I can't believe I'm still seeing complaints about Glenn "he saved the show" Mazarra leaving but not a whisper about Andrew Lincoln until now.
It isn't impossible, but it would mean you have somehow gotten news that not a single major media outlet has mentioned.
Apart from that the rumor isn't really findable on the web, I see a whole other problem with that:
The story is about Rick Grimmes and his son. For those who read the comics past the 100th issue, they know that Rick won't die (that's long after the prison) as he is the main caracter (not a spoiler as it's obvious from a story telling part).
He will suffer a great deal, like with Lori, but killing him off would be just mind boggling.
I bet with you that the contracts have been long signed for season 4, thus an actor like him, the penality for going would be a great deal,...
If he goes, which I see as implausible, they will tear his face up, (burnt, scared) and an other actor will reprise the role, because the caracter isn't replacable. At least not until his son is more grown up (not a spoiler only an assumption on my part if you would replace the main caracter).
But the Merle stabbing was pretty gory, so could get the point, on the other hand a lot of the killing is CGI, so during the shooting there isn't a whole lot of gory, exept for the puppets heads beeing slpit by shovels
Scaff edited to add - Please use spoiler tags, the UK is a week behind the US and seeing things like this are not helpful at all.

Given that no info of this nature is on the web and that Andrew Lincoln had read the comic books (which are far, far, far more gruesome than the TV series - honestly the goings on in the prison are a cakewalk on TV in comparison) then I call serious shenanigans on this without a very credible source.
Not to mention that killing off Rick would kill all major links to the story arc of the graphic novels.

I ask for two reasons: 1) When can we discuss more openly or refer to things vaguely that might only be understood by those who saw it. 2) I wonder if this is more evidence of my theory that media companies have no clue how the Internet works or if it is just a scheduling thing, like you get it on Friday night because the time isn't available on Sunday.

It airs every Friday at 10pm on FX. I would say best to post like Scaff said but also to include episode number (so that the Yanks know you're talking about an episode they've watched as opposed to some leak which no one else has). And it may be that you yourself are an episode behind and that will let us know that it's ok to read under the spoiler 👍

Oh that's how you can watch in England! I've been downloading it every week purely cause I didn't think you could watch here and that's they're going to show it like 6 months late or something.
That last episode. Dear sweet Jesus, I knew they were inevitably gunna kill off Merle in order to help develop Daryl's character. The way they did the whole thing, though, was the sort of redemption I hoped for in his character. Tears were shed.
