"Global Warming" is BS.

Around here, BS means (besides the obvious) blowing snow. It amuses me greatly when the weatherman on TV calls it that.

It's cloudy and in the mid-high 40s today. South Carolina was nice though, warm and sunny.

I want to go back to that weather.

Snow totals confirmed up to 4 1/2 feet just south of me. I've got just under 2 feet at my house. A new snow band is coming up the lake right now, and it's dropping up to 2 to 3 inches an hour. They are expecting 5+ feet in some places. This is freaking insane. It's been years since we got this kind of snow.

So... that little earthquake I felt was a 4.6 with epicenter more than 150 kilometers from where I am right now... yes.. rather small

Those temps don't take into account the wind, either. That -24F (-31C) on Sunday will feel like -37F (-38C). Damn fine day to stay inside by the fireplace watching football.

That's one thing I'm glad we didn't have here today, the wind. I live in a rural area and hot and windy days with the dry conditions around here (hasn't rained in over two weeks) normally don't mix too well.

Warmer today. Mid-high 60's. Cloudy skies, but the Sun is out for most of the day.

However, change is coming. In the next few days, temps are going to rise. They are now saying Christmas Eve will be in the low 80s!!!

OK, 30 more days of this and I'm building an ark! Just won't stop raining, which isn't helped by force 7 winds. All I wanted to do was clean the car. Not happening. Still, it's a good 6 to 8°c warmer than this time last year.
