All I wanted to do was clean the car. Not happening. :grumpy:
Park the car outside. Rain + wind = free pressure washer. :dopey:

It's cold enough here that my patio door is frozen shut. The dog is not amused.

Just down the street from my house:

They are lower than the other houses so we were protected from the floods, but I feel sorry for these people. Every time there is a lot of rain, their house and yard gets completely flooded. This is the first time I've ever had to see them block off the street and be moved out of their house, though.

More like scratch maker.

We had a storm last night with an 82mph wind gust at about 11:00 PM. I thought it would get all the salt off my car. Apparently, the tiny debris also put scratches all over the passenger side.

During the storm a transformer near our house blew, making a nice light and noise show, and our neighbor had a massive, nearly three-foot thick tree fall in their driveway. Aside from the scratches on my car, we were unscathed.

When the wind gust came up I thought it was a tornado from the sound, but could see it didn't look like one.

I can now say I survived hurricane-force winds in Kentucky.

Ouch! Storm force 10 along the English Channel tonight. That basically means my overnight ferry can't dock here so it's sailing on Tuesday morning instead. Crossing our fingers to make it to my mum's place for Xmas day.

Today the weather here is miserable. It's dark, raining, cold, wind, the lot. But no ice and snow, as usual.
9ºC (48.2F) tops as of now
14ºC (57.2F) max
7ºC (44.6F) min

But nowhere as cold or miserable as you guys. Things are way worse on the other side of the Atlantic.

Miserable 80 degrees today.

So much for a white Christmas. The weather is just a cruel juxtaposition. Life is pain.

Been quite a storm here all morning/afternoon. The wind has finally settled down a bit, though it hasn't stopped raining. It's around 11ºC at the moment.

I feel your pain, because I'm going through the same HELL!

It was 70° yesterday, will be 76° today and 80° on Christmas Eve. The horror! :(

I hate you. I hate you both.

In all fairness, we don't have all that much snow, either, but that's because it just too damn cold.

6°C, rain and wind. All week should be about the same.
I'll raise you with 2°C. Tomorrow I'll raise you with 4°C. Show me your hand or I'll win.

We have a lot of wind at the moment.

Oh, look! A washed out road! Let's go drive on it!

Does not compute.

People amaze me. The truck can kind of get away with it since it's heavier and has slightly less of a chance of getting stuck (people do this offroad all the time) but the Monte Carlo is just dumb.

Personally, if I see a washed out road that is more than maybe a few inches deep, I won't even go near it. Not worth the risk.

Hey Slash just out of curiosity, do you have a canoe? It looks a lot fun crusing around (unless you got water current) go to other people places and kind of stuff.

In case you're asking I love canoeing

Good luck, horrid out there.

I'm currently listening to tiles flying off the neighbours roof.

I'm more concerned with the potholes that live under the water than I am being washed away in my vehicle.

I don't but my grandfather does. Quite fun :)

That's true but fortunately they aren't that bad around here.

@Slashfan, Did you take all the photos that you posted? If so, some of those are pretty good.

#firstworldproblems

Though I will empathize that I too would feel really weird for a summery Christmas.

No I actually didn't. I pulled them from a local new website that deals strictly with my hometown. The photos were taken by random people in the town or some of the guys that run the page. They usually have some nice photos.

That's not even the worst of it. It's expected to crest sometime tonight.

Clouds are racing in the sky. Wind is bounding against the windows and whistling like a Dr. Cox.

It's dark, pretty windy and not that cold. Nice day to stay indoors.
