Even sadder is the fact that it's still 10° below freezing. I might wear my light jacket to work that day! :dopey:

Shorts and T-shirt. :)

It's not so bad if you have a bit of snow to make it purdy, but this warm for a day then cold for a week is just pathetic. Just wish it was average (Which is what 20s?)

South West wind, bringing warm t° from South Europe to our regions. Overcast, some wind and, at the moment, a little of drizzle.

Cold, Cold, snow, Cold, Cold. Did I mention COLD?

Today was sunny but cold. High -2F
Tomorrow, 17F With some snow/blowing snow.
Saturday, 18F, falling to 5 by 5 pm.
Sunday, -5F (-14F Accuweather)
Monday -17F (Wind chill could be as low as -60F)
Tuesday -4F
Wednesday 8F (Yay Heat wave)

So TB what's your cold snap like?

Über raining Day today and the same for tomorow. Miserable, dark, rainy, windy days, how I hate them!
Temperatures aren't that bad 12C (+/- 47F) , but the rest? God it's bad!

So, there's a big blizzard going across the northeast and we are catching the edge of it. Everyone is freaking out because we're getting hit by the blizzard. All two inches of it.

But next week is the possibility of a "significant" snow event.

Can we live in common sense reality?

And they say dangerously cold when its all of 0F when here it can be -20 to maybe -30 in some places -40 (International Falls Record Low at -41F).

Let's see here... We have almost 5 inches of snow, and another that has even for more snow potential? And colder temps after it? Well, I will be like @TB, very cold that is!

Wet. Very wet. This:

has become this:

Power is out in East Cowes which was also flooded recently:

Today hasn't been too bad but there are still trees down across the island and a few roads closed.

Oh, and I almost forgot, the train tunnel is a little bit soggy:

They all happened overnight in a period of about 12 hours. Admittedly the quay area has been hit by more than one storm but it had died back down until last night when it started rising again. The chain ferry is also flooded quite badly:

It's got a lot higher than that since last night too, it's easily up to the windows of those buildings at the minute and it's since been closed; it was still operating when that photo was taken.

I'd much rather deal with the cold than high waters. The past week the nights have dropped to -38 to -40 with wind chills as low as -49. I'm near Kapuskasing ON.

It's a balmy 10F right now,
However not going to last.
Today 22F
Saturday 17F Falling to 0F by 5pm
Sunday -11F
Sunday Night -28F (Windchill -30 to -60F)
Monday -13F (Statewide School Closed)
Monday Night -21F
Tuesday -4F
Wednesday 2F

Cold, Historic cold likely. @TB Probably going to be close to what I have.

Still too warm for this time of year. We had lightning without thunder half an hour ago. A lot of rain and wind.

TB
Currently 16°F with a feels like of -10 is just mean.

And a HIGH of -23F (windchill of -55!) on Sunday (with a low of -34F/-63F) has me all kinds of excited.

Wanna trade?
Nope. Absolutely not. :D

We will get our share of freezing t° and snow.

It's the 90s all over again, Cold closing schools, and snow that just doesn't want to stop, and any warmup is just a day if that.... They never said it was going to be this cold this winter, :grumpy:

Pretty soon I will be asking myself why I am still here.

Wow guys. We are still in double digits (16 degrees now) and my face is already chapped.

You all have fun.

Side note: I told my wife during our near-perfect, mild summer that this would come back the other way come winter.

Guy instinct may be an inaccurate weather prediction system, but mine is far more accurate than any computer models have been.

Send us your cold, we'll be able to drive across the huge lakes forming everywhere if they freeze over ;)

Our train station has turned in to a river!

:scared:
That's not ........... good.

Very odd but I didn't see the previous pictures, yesterday. Only the train station photo.

It's alright here, with the overcast I mentioned I my previous post, and 5°C currently. I'm happy about the weather, at the moment. :scared:

We had some frozen rain that turned into snow, made for a slow drive home.

I'm starting to think all these religious people got it wrong, the apocalypse isn't the world being set on fire, it's snow and insane cold.

The same as usual. High 70's and cold at night, low 40's. Cooling off a bit for the new few days. High 60's, perhaps.

Reported for trolling.:P

It's still pretty warm. Warm is relative because we are still in winter. Overcast, not much wind and no rain. I'm happy with this kind of weather. Could be better though = missing direct sunshine.
