What's the best phone app for weather, one that includes animated radar images? I use the NWS website almost exclusively, but their animated radar is run on adobe flash which is no longer supported and not visible on my HTC One.

If your local weather station has an app, use that. I use the WYFF4 app on my phone for weather since it's local and may be a bit more accurate than other major weather apps like Accuweather or WeatherBug.

Why choose just one?

I found a radar app that runs the NWS radar, think it'll work.

I've found the NWS to be quite accurate most of the time.

My thing with weather apps is that some have a better map display, better forecast display, some have better weather warning setups, and some seem to be getting their data from a small, local equipment setup and not the nearest weather center.

And only one of them gives me a direct feed from the NOAA weather radio stations.

Still raining! It never stopped raining since I first mentioned it a couple of day ago. :P

Nice 'hot' summer weather is on it's way. It's going to be more than 30°C.

So yesterday in Mexico City we had an amazingly clear morning, hyper-blue skies with white puffy clouds and even a twin rainbow or two. Then at about 4 pm the sky absolutely fell trough, with thunderstorms and hailstorms and the apocalyptic such... for all of one hour. Then we got back to sweet blue skies with wind rushes of over 40 km/h.

I swear, we're gonna day.

Thunderstorm, almost no rain, but Thunderstorms are very unnusual here, specially in summer

Actually, this is like the second summer I remember that it had a thunderstorm, and rain

@Dean 's cloud has become a very big cloud.

No more sunny weather for the moment. Overcast, chilly for this time of year. A very positive note; it doesn't rain anymore. w00t.

It's sunny here, but it might rain later today. :guilty:

@kikie, where do you get those smilies?

Edit: It's raining. I should have kept my mouth shut.

Positive note has become a negative note. It started to drizzle, no rain but drizzle. It seems that it is not going to stop any time soon.

I know it's not a fair reading since the thermometer was sat out on the patio in direct sunlight but I got a reading of 40.5℃ out there today. It's awesome weather, I need to get me down the beach!

Yup, hit 30°c here today too. Currently 27°c, which is a pain when you're getting dressed up for a black tie event. :indiff:

I like this type of weather a lot. Only downside; when it is too warm for a longer time, my bedroom is like a sauna. I don't like sleeping in a sauna.

This has been going on all night now. Each dot is a lightning strike, I live on the island in the middle.

After getting 3 hours sleep last night I've not taken kindly to this keeping me awake. 👎

Low of 52 degrees F tonight with a high of 78 projected tomorrow. Looks like it might be another day of windows open without air conditioning upcoming.
