snow-011107.jpg

Four to eight more inches expected on Sunday, which would put us over five feet for the last three weeks.

I'm in Redmond it was funny because it had snowed a little and then about 2 or 3 hours later we got 4 inches over the course of about 30 minuets and now at 10:30 the sky is clear blue and its sunny and its ****ING COLD!! and last night my dad left work at 6:00 and it took him 2 hours to get home and work is only 4 and a half miles away  he said that people where stopping in the middle of the road to put their chains on :ouch: yea some people are really dumb.......

Now I'm totally confused.  I was in Seattle until about 5:30 (that's when we left). It snowed for half an hour, and nothing stuck. A while later, in downtown, there was still no snow. Blue skies. At about 6:30, we hit a jam on 509, never backed up. We finally caught up to the snow and it accumulated from there. Finally got home at 8:00 with three inches. Five this morning. Seattle schools were closed. I had heard that us in the south were the worst hit. Did another storm sneak in last night?

This morning I went out biking. That was really fun going down hills. Couldn't go straight because I was correcting the whole way.

You Denverites. Making our cool storm seem like nothing. Geez.

Right now, my boys are outside going ape poopie. They're throwing snowballs at each other. Yep, it's snowing right now. This has never happened here before.

Two days ago, I was in short pants sweating my balls off in 86 degree weather, and today, it's snowing!

SoCal, baby!

I meant to say 10:30AM (just wanted to make that clear or did I just misinterpret what you said?)
anyway its kinda overcast and cold I would say about 38.F the snow that is on the road is melting but its also going from snow to water then freezing and its a little Icy

I am sad to say that here on the east coast that it is the mildest winter that Ive ever seen. a few days ago it was 70 degrees and i was in my shorts....IN JANUARY, its not like im south or anything im in New Jersey.

Denver might have a little bit more snow, but they can't match our balmy -42C this morning (again)!

Indeed, although it's -14C (7F) right now, and tomorrow's high is -12C. And it's snowing again.

I head back to Atlanta Monday though, where it's 17C (63F) and only partly cloudy.

I have never been in proper minus temperatures like that, I must experience it one day.

Sweating alot in 86F?????????

Man, you should come live in South East Queensland. We've had at least a barmy 42C - over 100F past couple of days.....

My daily report of the Belgian weather. Overcast, practically no wind. No rain at the moment but we gonna have rain for sure today. It's around 11°C = 52°F. It's 9.43 am.

I have never been in any minus temperatures, and it's hard to imagine something like -10.:scared:

it was about the high 20's today, but very windy.:grumpy:

Stick your head or hands in a freezer for about 10 min and you'll know. Get a fan and switch it on because you need "wind" too. :P

I'm sure you probably have been in the minuses, occasionally we have had -1 to -2C here in Adelaide, though, at night time.

Not really; it was just a figure of speech. Once, over the summer, it was 110+ degrees every day for a week with 85+% humidity every day. Now that's hot.

Not right now, though. It's 28 DEGREES!

Now my balls are frozen solid. He-he, Solid's frozen solid balls.

I personelly don't mind temperatures up to 40C (105F), anymore than that is probably a bit too much. It's been about 45C here 4 days in a row last Summer (about 115F) not this year though, this Summer was gay, hardly reached 40 at all:grumpy:, got as low maximums as 20C, in the middle of Summer!:scared:

Coldest Summer i've ever know of, like Winter:(

27F and snowing right now. It's almost like we're getting a proper winter this year, or something... Plenty of sun in the forecast, though. Me likey! :D

Just a slight dusting. Didn't stick to anything bare. Just couldn't sled well because the ice was covered.

I have a very low temperature toleration. I start to get uncomfortable around 80ºF. At 90º, things get unbearable and I go inside. I'm so glad I live in Seattle. Cold is no problem. You East coast guy talk of running about in Shorts. I'm about the only one here in shorts, in the Snow. Got my sweatshirt and I'm fine.

same thing i used to do. i used to like to shovel my driveway in a t-shirt and shorts. since moving to flordia my house is constantly at 80 and i cant stand it. its like being a penguin in arizona, lol.

what i always say is id rather be cold when you can just warm up with a blanket or two and feel good then be hot and sweaty when you can cool down but you'll still feel like 🤬 because all the sweat and most likely you'll smell like 🤬 too.

Yeah, I agree. I'd rather it be cold than stinkin' hot, because you're not limited as to how many items of clothing or blankets you can have around you, but you are limited as to how much clothing you can take off! Ridiculous.

Wow, 23 degrees last night. The fruit on our fruit trees are destroyed. Buy stock in CFOJ. We pulled all the oranges we could and juiced them before they thawed. We got a gallon and a half.

We live in the Inland Empire, where we're surrounded by citrus groves. It's going to be a bad year for them. We're also surrounded by strawberry fields and avocado groves which both also suffered frost damage. Things don't look good. :nervous:

This cold snap did a lot of damage here.

Well I'm sure some of you have heard of the snow storm that got Vancouver griding down to a halt. Its absolute nightmare here. Roads are frozen over, temperatures dipped below -8C, cars are skidding out of control...its hilarious to watch the helpless drivers attempting to drive properly.

It's going down to -34C here tonight. Last week we hit -49 with the windchill (actual temp was -40). I have a wireless weather station that maxes (or would that be minimizes?;) at -30. After that it just says OF, which I guess means Oh **** :D It's the coldest it's been in a couple years now. Last year was a treat with a mild winter.

God, I'm going to Winnipeg on Thrusday. It's going to be hideous.

As for the weather 'round here, The first major snowfall is about to take place (Thank God?) And I'm working during the entire thing? Lame.

Where exactly are you? Manitoba?

I thought -8C and -13C with wind chill was cold!

Yep, about 20 minutes north of Winnipeg.

It's supposed to warm up a bit by thursday... or warmer than it is now. Forecast is saying -16 during the day. That's still plenty cold for me.
