I think at one point Brown County in South Dakota had an Ice Storm Warning, Flash Flood Warning, High Wind Warning and a Blizzard Warning.

But yes there are times when there is one county out of the state not under anything.

Brown County is always under a flash flood warning in the summertime because the James River Valley floods for some reason.

A Winter Weather Advisory Has Been Issued For Anchorage.
It starts tomorrow (Thursday) night through Friday morning at 9 am.
Here are the bullet points:
2-5 inches of snow over West Anchorage..
5-8 inches elsewhere.
IMPORTANT: Snow begins tomorrow afternoon and will quickly become heavy during the rush hour...lowering visibility to a half-mile at times.
This is expected to be a significant snowfall for the Anchorage and surrounding areas.

... And in Nome, more of the same
Along with 6-12 inches of new snow, severe winds, and whiteout conditions, a blizzard coming to Western Alaska may "mobilize" chunks of Bering Sea ice, the Weather Service says — and lead to coastal flooding. The flood risk is highest in Gambell.

But a few weeks ago, Boston almost broke its record for coldest day in history.
I was curious so I had to do a bit more looking.

Coldest temperature ever was -30F for Boston, Fargo's was -48F.
Highest temperature ever was 104F for Boston, Fargo's was 114F.
Average rainfall - Boston's 43.9 inches to Fargo's 21.19.

Not poking fun or trying to prove a point anymore. Just a bit of a weather nerd. :P
Been there and done that this year already. I'm young and dumb enough to think it's a good idea.
A few weeks ago my son walked home from the bus stop carrying his jacket. He promptly got a butt chewing. :irked:

Yeah, on the 16th Boston went down to 4 degrees Fahrenheit, the coldest day since 1883 (1 degree Fahrenheit).

Worchester recorded 0 degrees Fahrenheit this year on the 16th as well. Edit: removed link. Article led to some crazy church website.

Not to mention we had some insanely cold days back in February. See here for that source.

@TB More snow I see for you up there in NoDak.
Here up to 2 inches of snow with 0.15" of ice. Lovely. :banghead:

Nothing yet but looking at the radar, it's on its way.

I'm not sure if that helps or hinders the plan to go to Detroit Mountain tomorrow.

It managed to get into positives today by a whole 1 degree!

The fact it was warm enough to melt snow less than a week ago really doesn't help either. :irked:

It's -30 celcius where I am, and that's with windchill.

Feels great.
I'm at the exact same temperature. :irked:

For those that have never experienced it, your eyeballs sting then start watering so when you blink your eyelashes freeze together.

And your breath condenses on your moustache.

Today we got to 1. haha.

I dunno, I felt it was pretty good today. It has been sunny the past while, and all I had to do was stick on another pair of sweatpants over the ones I had on!

1°F now, going up to 10°F today. Windchill of -15°F.

Looks to be the end of the really cold days for a while though, which is nice.

So much for 4-6" of snow in Atlanta...

It's supposed to be in the mid 60's later in the week, please just make up your mind nature!!

Not as cold as some of you but it's still cold for me and my in home heater has stopped working so I'm having to use some plugin heaters. :nervous:
