Rainy, cold and all around crappy. Hopefully it clears up a bit so we can do something this afternoon.

The typical around here this time of year. Thankfully we came down from those awful 115+ degree days.

Now just waiting on the monsoon's to kick into full gear...

10:30pm, it's still over 80F and 70 something percent humidity outside and 78F inside. :yuck:

Currently 68ºF partly cloudy, however heavy rains are expected this weekend

https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/anchorage-ak/99503/weather-warnings/41988_pc

Heavy rainfall is expected to impact Southcentral by early
Saturday morning through late Saturday evening. The heavy
rainfall is expected to begin first across the Eastern Copper
River Basin, then spread westward through the afternoon. This
swath of rainfall will continue to move westward into the
Talkeetna Mountains and the Matanuska and Susitna Valleys,
Anchorage Bowl, and the Kenai Peninsula by midday Saturday
through late Saturday evening.

Outdoor recreators and commuters are encouraged to use extra
caution when traveling this upcoming weekend. Ponding of water,
rapid local stream rises, and water runoff are a possibility where
heavy rainfall occurs. Look for the rainfall to diminish by early
Sunday morning.

Some nasty weather way up north.

In the meantime, it's 89°F and muggy as hell!

I finally got around to buying a new tire pump (my cheap $8 one lasted surprisingly long) and was happy to finally go on a bike ride again. I only made it 2 miles though as it was so bloody hot and humid. :yuck:

It's supposed to be much nicer tomorrow so I will hopefully get a longer ride in.

It was beautiful today, I did 16 miles (8 miles each way with a break in each direction to read a little by the river) and I'm nowhere near as exhausted as yesterday when I only did 2 miles.

Somebody please kill me. I don't want to have to endure this. We've had worse before. But damn this sucks. Heat indexes are probably going to be 110 on several occasions Chief Meteorologist Dave Murrary told me. :yuck:

I honestly wouldn't mind it if it wasn't so damn humid. You can walk outside and instantly your skin starts to gets moist and oily from the humidity.

It was a muggy 35C (95F) in Windsor today. I don't feel the heat as much now that I'm down to my fighting weight but that's getting up there. Going to get out for golf after work tomorrow if my back loosens up a bit and it promises to be just as warm. Good times.

I'm getting concerned about the continuous earthquakes happening in Yellowstone. I don't live very far from it (about 5-6 hours away).
