Not the greatest picture but was as good as I could do with the phone and get them all in. The wife took some with her camera, ill upload them later once she gets them sorted out.

Some more from the phone. I never thought to get one of just the mustangs. I guess I've just seen them together so much it never dawned on me. The fords though are all in pristine shape. The insides are much cleaner than any new car I've been in. He's done a great job on them.

A nice collection of Fords and 'Dubs there! All look in brilliant condition. 👍

Oh my god those Mustangs look sexy. Love them. Totally jealous of the whole collection.

I've used motors out of Rancheros before, love that vehicle.

FE's are stout motors, wonder which one she's got in it....hopefully a 390, that's may favorite besides the 427 XD

It's got the 390 in it. It runs really good. It's by far the most fun to drive. After driving it the older mustangs feel like turds. Their all automatics though except the newer mustang, old beetle and thing.

The onyl old autos I like are the C-series. The rest are slushboxes.

What do the Mustangs have?

Just normal 289s. Their just so heavy it's not enough to get them going. The 390 though is plenty in the ranchero.

They all do sound awesome though. They just don't move like they sound. He has done a great job restoring them though. The fastback looks like a brand new car except for a few tiny paint chips. The paint job is at least 20 years old on it and we don't treat them like show cars. If we want to drive them, we drive them.

The ranchero and coup are really nice too but not the same as the fastback.
Out of the VWs the thing is probably the cleanest. We stripped it down to the frame and fixed any spots with new metal and painted it last year.

Tge westy though is really nice to. It's pretty much all original except for paint, headliner, and top. We also re covered the seats in it.

That's over 100 more cubic inches. Of course the FE motor is going to walk all over the 289s haha.

I know, people always think those mustangs must be fast though when they see them. It's funny because the old beetle actually feels faster than they do. I've tried to setup a race between either the coup or fastback and the beetle but he will have no part of it. Once a year our little airport lets people go there and drag race. I swear that beetle would give the old mustangs a run for their money. It's by no means fast, but I bet it would be a lot closer 1/4 mile than people would think.

They are fast, for the time. That's a heavy car for such a small engine, which is why over time it increased.

Late '60s versus mid '60s 'Stangs is no contest. Late '60s would walk all over them.

On what planet?

You know that from 96 through 2010, the V8 was 281ci right? And that every last one of the cars in that time frame weighed a good 500lbs more than an early (64.5-66) Mustang right? And yet, every last one of them (yes, even you, poor old '96-8 4.6 2V GT stuck in a convertible with an automatic) will walk all over an early 289 car. It's not a size problem, and it's not a weight problem. It's a "this is the early 1960s, we don't know what performance without displacement means yet" problem.

Yes I know those years had 281s in them and yeah you are right haha. Didn't even think about the new models lmao.
