The Words of the Winds are Now all Clear

I challenge everyone here who has made an even remotely definitive statement about GT5 not being at E3 to show me TWO credible sources stating such.

So far all I see is one not very credible source asking interviewers to not ask Yamauchi about it, which means Yamauchi will be at E3, which is also not listed on Sony's schedule.

Get your heads out of whatever fanboi raging orifice you stuck them in and do us all a favor: Be quiet until after Sony's conference tomorrow. Puh-lease.

And for those of you saying GT Mobile is not important; check the PSP forum and see how often it has come up since it was first announced. Some of us found that to be exciting news too.

Credible sources????? In the vid-gaming industry????? LOL. That has to be an oxymoron.

KY will be there allright, but according to a source (how credible is anybodies guess) he won't be gushing about GT5. Somehow at this point, that news credible or not, fails to bolster my confidence that by December I'll be playing GT5 by the glow of my Chistmas tree. I guess I'm just a pessimist.

BTW, I'm glad somebody is excited about the PSP. As for me when I consider playing GT5 on a 55" 1080p HD TV, its hard to get excited about some micro midget console.

So Puh-lease do us all a favor and check your own orifice, you could have a head stuck in it. Your own.

Just because he's not taking questions, does not mean there's no information to come. If Kaz lets people ask about GT5 before the presentation, he's not gonna have any answers to give, and we know he would be inundated with questions. He's not going to spoil the presentation by answering questions in advance of it.

[optimism...

This is how it goes you can either believe that:
"KY will not be taking question on GT5 so that means it will not be at E3"

or you can believe:

"All those birds, skypaths and birdtamers from all realms will unite for the Feast. And as it is already known, it will be the Feast of the Gods." and think GT5 will be at E3. Which has been stated by a person WHO HAS NEVER LIED ABOUT GT!
Well... there's a first time for everything... ;)

But seriously, after a few of us spent quite a bit of effort trying to calm the boards when a few dozen malcontents were constantly throwing fits every day earlier in the year, I'm sure the people at Polyphony were growing a little concerned. There were people who were talking about NEVER buying a PS3 and jumping ship to the 360 forever, and even if it's BS, you have to take it seriously.

I'm sure someone at SONY, maybe Kaz himself, gave Amar the go ahead to make his first cryptic post, which I can't even remember what the allusion was... was it about cooking and ovens? And that made everyone happy and excited. For about a week, or less. ;)

Then of course the complaining started again. "If he can say that, what about a screenshot!" And it went from there to wanting to see video of a Porsche crashing and taking damage. In the rain. In the dark. With 29 other cars. On the Nurburgring. "That's all I need!"

And after a few weeks of things returning to the same grouch fest, we then got Amar's enigma about all those birds and tamers and things. And this time it mostly stuck, because by then E3 was about a month off. This HAD to come from PD/SONY themselves. Amar would be in a dungeon from the first post if he'd violated his NDA and said something on his own. I trust this to be 99.9% true. Hey, I have to leave a margin for error. ;)

So what happens now? We get a rumor that Kaz won't be answering questions, and the wheels start flying off. And yeah, I'd be disappointed too if GT5 didn't have some sort of exposure tomorrow. Forza fanboys would be shouting, and that would suck.

But what the heck? I mean, when it comes down to it? Does it really matter? I know GT5 is coming. It won't be rushed like the last two buggy Forzas were. It'll be solid. It'll be epic. It'll make me forget all my other racing games like Prologue often does, seriously. I love Prologue, and even with a few other PS3 and PC racers, after some time with them, I have to quit and throw on Prologue. Because it's that good. Is Gran turismo 5 worth the wait?

Hell yeah, it is! :dopey:

The problem here is that Kaz/PD/Sony is not giving us anything/zilch/nada.

I swear if Kaz uttered a sentence most of us would be at peace.... but nooooo
all he does when asked about GT5 is laugh and say "its coming".
:P

Then we get a "rumor" that GT5 might not even be in videogames biggest show of the year...Its hard to keep sane with that kind of treatment.

Of course the **** was going to hit the fan!
:)

What a bunch of sooks. There are 6 winds, only one got revealed and that was before E3.

You are not going to have 6 winds on gt mobile and quite clearly most of them have nothing to do with mobile if you read what they say.

Just wait a few hours already. It won't kill you. Go outside or do something.

ummm. it's 11:15 pm here :P

its just as simple as this

GT5 appears or just doesnt appear at E3, many of us will be disappointed, and there are a lot of ppl here who have a Ps3 and a 360 so well, the ones that have a 360 enjoy FM3 and thats all, and after that just keep waiting for Gt5, just that the preference for Gt:mobile over Gt5 annoys me really bad but hey, if gt5 isnt presented at E3 we just have been trolled in real life...sad but true.

Some get sad and some get mad.

Either way, it won't put the game in your hand any faster.

I think the problem most people would have with no GT5 news is that it would just be such a dick move by PD. We've stayed loyal, want some info, which is reasonable (other than the i want lambos and porsche in the rain with damage and flip and nurburgring and to put an ipod in thecar and to simulate the gatorade they siphon through the helmet) I just want something. a screen of rain, damage, porsche, lambo (just one of those and i'm happy)

I hope everyone understands that in my post above, I was speaking hypothetically. I still expect something from Kaz on GT5. SONY is setting the stage for PS3 to stomp a big footprint in the snow of Christmas. Most of the other games will do it, but no one will be happy if Kaz talks about GT Mobile and doesn't offer something about the features and technology in GT5, and an approximate release timeframe. He'd get kidnapped and seduced by scantily clad nubile ninja women from PSU, GT Planet and others. We'd learn something eventually. ;)

So Puh-lease do us all a favor and check your own orifice, you could have a head stuck in it. Your own.
Yeah, the guy challenging all the pessimists to calm down and think for a change is the one with his head stuck somewhere. You blatantly admitted it wasn't exactly a credible source but said you were pessimistic anyway.

You don't even wait to actually get bad news before you get all negative about it. Why? A story from a Web site saying they heard about a press memo that no one in the press actually got? That just has reason for pessimism written all over it.

I'm sorry I have my head stuck in an orifice so far that I can no longer see beyond logic and reason.

Then we get a "rumor" that GT5 might not even be in videogames biggest show of the year...Its hard to keep sane with that kind of treatment.
Whoa! Where did you hear that? I need a link and a quote right now.

Heh, chill...
I was talking about everybody jumping to conclusions, that because Kaz didnt want to talk about GT5, therefore GTPSP was going to get all the focus.. meaning GT5 would be a no show.

Sorry if I misunderstood.

I just wanted to be sure that it is understood that there is no rumor that GT5 won't be at E3.

Man i thought KY said GT moible was something they where going to focus on more, after working on GT5... Anyway i will still hope for the best if nothing is said about GT5 i will be sad, but life and the wait still goes on 👍.

Gran Turismo 5 for Thanksgiving Day release.
Birds and ovens (day is already known) its so obvious.

KY is not taking questions about gt5 because his engrish not good.

Sony has orchestrated a big buildup in the form of a cone of silence and they dont want anyone blowing their wad before gt5, not even the birdmaster himself.

Feast on.

Will the Damage in GT5 blow the socks of Forza3, the anticipation is giving me a headache :nervous:
Third tale says that for the first time ever skypaths will not be just solid and already known but that new skypaths will be built by birdtamers from the parts of existing skypaths.

OKI to start off THX AMAR for your roumors they seem to allways be right or close enough :)

And keep up the good work.

Other than that I have both consoles and going to have both games anyway.
No matter when they get out.

Just to give you all some perspective. This is something I posted in another thread:

"For those that can't stand the wait... please get a grip. Do you know how long Street Fighter fans had to wait for a new version? 12 YEARS! (sure there were spin offs and "new versions" but truth be told they were all the same). 12 YEARS! That is more than double the wait for GT5. Guess what TONS of people bought SFIV (most on the PS3 no less). Sure some bought other fighting games and I am sure others ditched the series but guess what they missed out. As proclaimed fans of GT you really should be ashamed. Rest assured, if you truly like GT then when GT5 comes out you will buy it, no matter what the release date is. Did Boston Red Sox fans stop loving their team for the 86 years of their world series drought, NO! 86 freakin years! As a Yankee fan sure I am disappointed but that is remarkable. More examples: the wait from MGS3 to MGS4 was about 4 years. Was it hard, yes. But I stuck through it knowing that Kojima would pull through even if it took a while. And look at MGS4, its one of the best games ever made (IMO). Same with Killzone 2. GT5 is this kind of title. So quit your whining and wait till 11:00PST today.

As a side note: IF GT5 is not shown I will be disappointed. IF they do not show GT5 I think it will be a huge mistake on Sony/PD's part. And IF they they do not show GT5 then well I will have to wait some more.

And while I understand that Amar's clues may not come true due to unforeseen circumstances he has never lied to us in the past. To me that is worth something."

Just finished watching the sony E3 press conference, and the game looks great!!
Can't wait to play it!
Everybody already know that there will be damage on this game, right?
Because i didn't, and i was very surprise when i saw it on the video.

Sorry for my bad english

Hey Amar, based on the GT5 trailer don't you think it's time to let the cat out of the bag about the "Fifth Wind". I think it's crystal clear what your message is saying.

Just joined now so I can finally post. Been lurking this site since before GT2s release. What a great site, glad we have somewhere we could all come together and share opinions on the current games and the upcoming.

Well, after buying a PS3 in November just for GT5:Prologue (which is extremely boring now...) I've been extremely hyped for the full game. It's been a LONG time since a full GT game, Gran Turismo 4 was a great game still is. But since its release what do we have? Barely anything. I am honestly extremely disappointed at the E3 Conference, I've been reading amar's posts (not to blame him) and every one else's posts/threads and ideas, I really honestly thought we'd finally get SOMETHING for sure from PD today. Watching that whole conference was painful. And all they showed was a 3 minute trailer? No wonder KY looked so uncomfortable coming on stage. Pretty lame honestly..the trailer sucked. Yes first response is excitement, but when you look at it what is so big about it? Damage for races cars (pretty sure we all knew that would happen). And what is with the SLR sound? Turbo? And the weird NASCAR sound? ANd the beginning with all the Japanese race cars, that was obviously NOT their real sounds. That Castrol Supra has a V8? Turn 10 is way ahead of us right now...

Sigh...BIG DISSAPPOINTMENT IMO...

^ I suppose so...I think he is still on lockdown mode.
