Fighter within? Have you seen the gameplay footage? Talk about input lag. I know it's early but the footage was hardly inspiring. I have to question the wisdom of showing that footage. Microsoft is really pushing the Kinect and that footage didn't exactly flatter it. At least it could be considered quite unique in the beat em up genre but I'd take a traditional fighting game over a "flail your arms wildly in front of a camera" any day.

The game was revealed today, why so much hate?
The gameplay footage I saw as a leak. I like the concept and if Kinect will be included with XboxOne, I think its fair the some games use the Kinect functions.

A fighting game with such concept worth playing was Mocap Boxing on arcade cabinet, that thing was epic, the boxing gloves were nice and pack quite a mass, the motion sensors were great, the fights were awesome. I played it more than ten years ago, pretty often as I was still active in martial arts training.

I don't think Kinect can compete with that in terms of calorie burned or fun factor, MOCAP Boxing give info on calorie burned when you finished punching like a madman. It will take elaborate setup and tech to get accurate movement inputs and no lag. Xbone 1st fighting game with Kinect, the novelty will wear out fast, maybe if MS release boxing glove Kinect and more sports oriented like Mocap Boxing ... I don't think it will last long ....

Not a fan of Windows 8 UI, I only use when I don't have a choice. It looks cool but usability is suited for touch screens. Do not like 360's UI either, navigating is not pleasant but I rarely use it.

The original Xbox 360 UI (The Blade)was the best console UI I know of. It's a shame MS had to alter it to keep a consistant design (Metro) across all MS products.

I really like the Windows 8 UI and I also like this.

It's much better than Sony's train wreck of a PS4 UI :yuck: How they went from the elegant and revolutionary XMB to that is beyond me!

The XMB is still there and it looks really good, on top of that the touch pad seems to be a virtual keyboard as well.

That's actually a pretty decent lineup. So happy to see Zoo Tycoon or any type of "tycoon" game finally coming to the X1. Didn't get a tycoon game at all on the 360.
Spark is looking very good too. It looks to be the X1 version of Little Big Planet.

I still don't plan to get the X1 until sometime in 2014. Gives them time to work out bugs and create some more titles. I will have X1 by the time Halo 5 comes out.

Me too, Zoo Tycoon was one of my favorite games back in the day! Can't wait for the Let's Play videos. :D

If Kinect was not so important for them why are they bundling it with every box ? Why did they invest hundreds of million $ in it. In fact for kinect on 360 half a billion $ or 500million $ was spent.

If I was interested in Kinect I would probably go with XO so I think that will be one of the biggest reason people might consider XO. Otherwise there is very little incentive to get XO

Because they are trying to make it happen.

Your forgetting the competitive gamers that are going to buy an XO for the online environment and their controllers. Kinect is great but it is not the only reason to get an Xbox, like you said in your previous post.

That is surely a matter of opinion - I certainly didn't see the PS4 UI as being a trainwreck, far from it.

In fact, both UIs seemed to have a quite similar layout, well, on first impressions they do (if you ignore all the green.)

Steve Ballmer to retire as CEO of Microsoft within 12 months.

Steve Ballmer
“There is never a perfect time for this type of transition, but now is the right time, we have embarked on a new strategy with a new organization and we have an amazing Senior Leadership Team. My original thoughts on timing would have had my retirement happen in the middle of our company’s transformation to a devices and services company. We need a CEO who will be here longer term for this new direction.”

Yer I know but some people r fanboys and will always support there console even it's garbage. Why can't anyone wake up and realise that ms are going to enable the policies again. If it had been DISBANDED instead of DISABLED then I would of got both for Halo and forza but I'm going to wait a while for the one whereas the ps4 haven't and controversy so I'm going to get a ps4 sooner

The PS2 and PS3 had very futuristic and innovative interfaces, I feel the PS4 one looks kind of bland in comparison, like a Kindle Fire UI knock off. This is Sony, it should look bonkers.... above and beyond the Metro UI. But yeah its just my feeling on it.

People are talking about UI's here, nobody is being a "fanboy".

Personally I enjoy the Xbox's UI. I absolutely hate Windows 8 for anything other than touch screen but I have to say, it makes the console look more console and less desktop.
