Interesting to see if it actually includes a UHD Blu Ray player as the drive....$299 if not, $349 maybe if it does have it. Looks like a nice console for those on the fence, 2TB! I'll stick to the Day One. I'm more interested to see if anything was changed on the controller.

Images on NeoGAF suggest it could be $449! :boggled: If that is true, there have to be some upgraded specs in there somewhere.

If the XBone Sport has its PSU built in like seems to be rumored, that's definitely the one that I'm going to get irrelevant of everything else.

It seems like there'd be little point in touting UHD output if it didn't have a UHD Blu-ray drive. Games certainly won't be UHD (except for maybe some basic arcade games). Streaming UHD content is a possibility, but video compression means that the quality just won't be the same... and isn't top-tier video quality the whole point of UHD?

Sold my Xbox One last month sort of in anticipation of this. Was hoping it would be 2TB, will be interesting to see what changes internally they made. Wonder if it's same architecture, if there's been a dieshrink, if HDMI chip is now 2.0 with HDCP 2.2 support, if still using ESRAM and if there is still HDMI input. Wonder if Sony will do something similar with base performance PS4. Anyway will get this console, hopefully I can now put all my games on it without running out of space and not have to rely on external HDD.

First thing I'll play is Killer Instinct Classic on it and see if new controller responds better with the new hardware, if it's as good as SNES in pulling off combos.

So the One S is real, UHD Blu Ray playback and FINALLY an integrated power brick... only took them a decade!

Cross play between Windows 10 and Xbox One, buy digitally and get the game on both platforms for free! Thats quite impressive.

I'm guessing that the S model will not be any more powerful than the original fatty xbone, right? It'd be nice though if they would just squeeze in a little bit more performance to get it maybe to match the ps4. I'd perhaps upgrade to the S model if it means I can play some of the games I own at a higher frame rate.

I can't keep track of all this stuff. I read something last week that the new Xbox will be 4x more powerful and have 2tb storage. Im not bothering with any of it until next gen consoles come in a few years. My xb1 has one TB of storage and it plays games just fine. I don't need any more storage than that. Any games you get digitally, if you're finished playing them for awhile, you just uninstall and can reinstall at any time if DLC pops etc.

If i still was looking to buy/upgrade to an xb1, this would be a pretty sweet deal though.

Im pretty sure it only has UHD streaming, not UHD bluray

@prousonhairy it was rumored that there would be two new Xbox One models being unveiled today, the S (slim) model and the Scorpio which was going to be a high performance XBone (the one 4 times more powerful than fatty xbone). So far they haven't mentioned anything about it though.

Ok buddy. You keep up on all this stuff and I'll ask you if I have any questions my friend.

Welp there you go, the next Xbox, Holiday 2017.

Obviously they will make a more affordable Xbox version of the Holo Lens VR.

Incredible. Smart move putting it Holiday 2017 too. Also, I suppose this is confirmation of VR coming to XB1.

"We are announcing Project Scorpio today because Sony admitted they weren't announcing Neo today"

Sony might well have lost the E3 conference crown this year if there is no PS4 Slim or PS4K Neo.... and now they don't even have VR to themselves!

1 front facing USB for the Xbox One S?
Yep.
