What does the blue mean?

When you get a Blue SR, it basically means a clean race... no accidents, no penalties, and your overall SR rating increases. A White SR means you've gotten some penalties, but neutral for affecting your SR rating overall. A Red SR means you've been bad, your overall SR rating will go down and Santa will skip your place altogether. ;)

Cheers

Great post @daan

I posted something similar on Saturday after a whole day racing at Suzi in the grp4 daily.

Unfortunately, the moaners seem to be a lot more vocal than those that enjoy the game!
As someone who has also had a little rant about inconsiderate drivers, and absurd penalties given for someone else's offence, I understand where you are coming from, it's always a good thing to be able to see the good rather than the not so good.

However, as someone said, those at the very front of the pack (and I recall you were considered 'alien class' by many in GT6 and I expect you still start right at the front) have a distinct advantage over most of us who start further back, where perhaps, the great unwashed gather.

Racing against top class drivers (the ones always starting at the front) should see top class (relatively speaking) driving etiquette and that is well understood, however, often the further back in the pack you get placed (and not always because you are slower) is where you can find poor attitudes as well as poor driving skills.

During warmups I usually start right at the back so as not to overtake anyone before the actual race because some people remember being overtaken and take it as a personal affront which demands severe punishment on the track.

Still, having said all that I'll still keep racing, and still keep trying to keep my cool, relatively speaking.

Had a great battle with stigmicween over the final 2 laps of a bathurst daily GR4. I was in the toyota which doesn't really have the legs down the straights...Really well driven by stig.

Like most I've had my fair share of dirty drivers ramming me and generally just driving like clowns. But last night I had a great race in the Gr4 brands hatch race.
I'm always a bit worried when I have someone close behind me, it's usually just a matter of time until the bump you off. But not last night.
The guy (who's name I can sadly not remember) was clearly faster than me, but no way was I just gonna pull over for him. I never once did any shady blocking moves, I just made sure my car was well positioned and broke as late as humanly possible (like if he had broke any later he would be dead kinda late) and we had a great battle for 7 of 10 laps, never more than a coat of paint between us, but not one single bit of contact. Then he got a better run out of turn 4 so I had to concede, but he didn't get away, I stuck back to his rear bumper. Then he made a mistake and ran wide, can't actually remember where lol, and I swept past thinking 2nd place was mine.
But then my mind wandered at the start of lap 8 and I broke too late, onto the gravel I went and he swept past. I never saw him again after that, but we were well ahead of the rest of the pack by then so 3rd was safe.
But up until then it was some of the closest cleanest racing I've ever been in. Loved it.
