I imagine there i a reason for why you can't do that.
Maybe the games gives you different opponents or adjusts the tuning/pp of their cars depending on what car you chose.

I've edited my previous post, yes I agree not from the actual race, I meant the MENU screen before the actual RACE with the game options, start, exit icons etc. I think they call it the "Quick Menu"? They can filter the cars that can be chosen for the event to meet the requirements (like they already do for seasonals), and regenerate the starting grid based on what you have selected once you leave the garage.

However an option to turn off those blue friend ghosts, but still allowing you to have just the normal ghost car is more important, just like GT5 was. Or at least a number box/slider to limit the amount of blue lines you want to see (say from 0 to 10). If you have many friends in your list it becomes hard to see the road :D
 
welcome to GT6 ver. 0.93 what it feels like to me. They should have just said we where buying a right to play the beta...
 
I want just one thing ; The car gifting ability. Trading cars with other people was one of the funniest things in GT5. And now you can't do that. :grumpy: This is the thing that really should be added !
 
This is just my opinion but it's 2014 and there is only one 2014 model in the whole game (Stingray Vett)? Sure there are a couple new concept cars but most "new" cars are from 2012. GT's car selection is all filler and few killer. Remove redundant trim levels of the same cars and put more current Le Mans cars from current years and teams.

Also graphics have taken a huge step backwards from GT5. The environment is less real, tracks don't look as real as they used to, reflections are horrible, weather and tire smoke is laughable. Graphics look like the game is being played on a PC from the 90's. PD needs to step their game up, I've played every version of GT since the PS1 and this is by far the worst/glitchy/step backwards version I have ever played.
 
And why are the AI cars so hard to spin, when they can spin you so easily? Seriously, i just got taken for a ride at Daytona in the career mode NASCAR race, and The cause was something that should have resulted in the other guy going into the wall, but they never do.

I'm not 100% sure this is covered in;

"54. PP values for opponents is not shown in arcade or a-spec."

I want to see the typical opponents list give a full list of all potential opponents, not just three typical ones.


84. Still no option to adjust front aero even if an aero kit is installed on the front.

I've adjusted aero on some race cars, is that not this issue? Maybe it only affects some cars (I've noticed that its been greyed out on almost all cars?).


94. Your car slides slowly, even if parked, if it is on a slight incline.

Stupid question, you've confirmed this happening post activating the handbrake right?

This mostly pertains to street cars that have a front aero kit option, not race cars.

Yes. It happens regardless of what method of parking you choose. However, now that you mention it, it might only occur on CH tires. I haven't tested it on other tire compounds, yet.

It definitely happens with other tire compunds. Try parking (sideways preferably) on the very end of the pit exit at Nurburgring with any bone-stock supercar (most of high-performance roadcars have SHs fitted as standard).

Nope, you don't want to park, you want to slowly spin around!

Also, own car's engine sound sometimes drops when you're in a group and decide to change the camera.
 
  1. New audio engine: better engine/exhaust sounds, reverb effects, backfire sounds, gearshifts sounds, rumble, downshifts, rev-limit bouncing
  2. User-defined in race sound parameters (Wind, Tire, Ambient, Engine, Surface, etc)
  3. Better ffb
  4. Steering wheel in cockpit should matches my steering wheel direction (As in simracers)
  5. GT5 had better FPS than GT6. What was all this new engine is all about then???

Damn , you just posted what I was about to say

especially with the wheel animation inside the car , it's very annoying when you turn 900º and the animation locks at 90º
(that's why I love playing Assetto Corsa , it matches with your wheel)

And I really hope they fix the transmission and clutch physics , I think it's just me but in GT6 there's no "Feeling" difference when ur driving a Ferrari 458 which uses a Sequential Gearbox , and a Camaro '70 which uses a H-Pattern

TBH , this game is really ****ed up , i'm a true fan of GT and I think Kaz should fix this kind of stuff...if he doesn't...well good bye Gran Turismo.
 
Seen a few little things:

Bug - Lancia Delta Integrale at Rome in Clubman Cup, the sound at the start of the race is messed up. Top of the rev range sound is gone until after the double right handers. Ran the race 3 or 4 times with the same car and same issue occurred every time.

The Mini Cooper 1.3 '98 is marked as German. I know MINI is owned by BMW but the original mini was as British as it gets. In fact the whole thing with countries of origin is flaky as the current MINI is basically built in the UK but owned by Germans, yet TVR was built in the UK and owned by a Russian and marked as British. European Fords are in a US Ford dealership, but Australian Fords are in a (AUS) Ford dealer. There may not be a "1 rule fits all" deal here but it would be nice if the potential for having a British Mini (car) under German MINI (manufacturer) existed, especially when having country specific races.

Can we have tuning items such as chips only available for cars that can have them. I'm pretty sure a 60's Elan can't be chipped in the same way a FF can't have a Carbon Prop shaft

We are allowed A B & C tunes for a car, but weight and body parts & Engine tuning are common between them all. This is highly inconvenient, even if moderately accurate. Are we supposed to buy multiple instances of a car to be able to switch between standard spec and tuning for different races, or to manually set all the common elements as we flick between tunes. Hardly the point of presets.
 
Playing in split-screen the frame rates drop ALOT. Maybe to 30 fps or 20fps and fluctuate.

Clutch and transmission physics are a must. A friend of mine was doing the heel-toe flick (in his custom-made play seat and H-Shifter) during a Toge event in GT6 and the car acted as if he was playing on a DS3.

-The quick description on the Dodge Charger calls it a challenger.
-Windshield wiper on Bentley Speed 8 looks like its running like 20 frames a second and is jumpy
-(some people say in car has lower frames which i never noticed, But if it does than that too)
-Draft's to do less - Cars get too much of a benefit from a draft.
-Steering in game to match my wheel
-Camber in suspension only makes cars worse
-Volume for music is too low. (Using small theater, Car sounds on 55% and Music at 120% and Personal music at 120% as well... i can still barely hear my music. (still low without small theater))

-Enduro's
-KY Suspension tuning, I want to tune suspension better
-Course maker (ill prob use like once enless its much improved but i still want)

Speaking of windshield wipers.... why model the rear windshield wipers for some cars and not others? For example, the Renault Clio has it modeled, but the Lancia Delta HF Inetgrale doesn't.
 
Somebody should write a letter to PD demanding that we get shuffle back.

yes, for the love of god PLEASE!!! there are a LOT of things that have left me down so far in GT6, but if i could just have my shuffle/spec racing back then i might just be able to briefly forget all about that and enjoy the damned game for once :banghead:

is it possible to just transplant the new cars and physics into GT5? or better yet, can we just put the gt5 servers back online and go back to playing that? 💡 lol i do hope that they work out all the kinks and get it dialed-in real soon though because it's pretty much unplayable for me as it sits now...
 
In race timings. How far you are from all cars (or at least the car in front and behind), not just to the leader.

Wouldn't that clutter the screen? Or should there be an option to change from leader distance to cars in front of you and back?
 
Give an option to turn up Road Vibration.

Just watched the Nurburgring Real Life vs GT6 video and the lack of this makes GT6 look like a Sunday driving school - it really annoyed me when they toned it down in GT5 too because others didn't want it.

Here's a thing PD......HOW ABOUT ****ing OPTIONS? ffs....

In fact, this is becoming one of this series problems - either not giving us options or giving us and then taking them away :irked:

I am . close to sacking this series off, unless there is a major overhaul. Sony needs to sort this out and hurry.

I do not want a game which is a beta test.
I do not want a game which is unfinished.
I do not want a game which takes 3 years to resolve some of its issues.
I do not want a game which has the need to take 3 years with updates sorting these issues, probably whilst removing some features that I originally liked.
I do not want a game that, after those 3 years, remove the online capabilities so I need to buy the next beta test and I cannot understand that people are supporting a series which has just done this - is this where the problem lies?
I do not want a game, especially after already having a previous version on that console, to have worse options/same or more problems.
I do not want a game which attempts to fleece its fans and treats them with what could almost be described as contempt.

I really appreciate the time and effort the OP has taken to produce the list - if only PD could stop taking the piss and do the same...

This game is nothing but a cash cow. I've a really bad feeling we are going to get nickel and dimed throughout the ps4's life cycle....

Although nothing what so ever like a GT game, I really hope DriveClub nails a competent handling model which offers at least a Sim-Arcade feel. This will have to do me for the foreseeable future until either Kaz is fired or sales dwindle to almost dead numbers and they resurrect this game to the levels its legacy deserves (kind of contradict myself here by saying fire Kaz but is he really driving the series forward or has he had enough time?).

Fans need to stop putting up with this ****. I really wish the lower than expected sales numbers of GT6 was to do with fans having enough but I suspect it's probably to do with the fact its on ps3 and not ps4....think about it, they're about to switch off the servers on GT5 so why the hell should this game get support?

/rant. Posted to whining thread although my initial post was on much needed Road Vibration keeping it on topic. Sorry guys.
 
Headlights are not right
eg in the Night Masters using a 91 prelude on the Willow Springs race, the headights point up in the air more or less, so unless there is a car in front or a roadside object you cant see the road. The dipped beam seems to not work either so after hitting the front of the pack I went straight on at the next corner.

Just in case anyone thinks it is because the real car is like that, I can assure you it is not.
 
Just tried online and I strongly agree with #59 to be fixed - about the Online ID's; and what Normalaatsra said.
I mean, what if we encounter a user with an offensive PSN name? Surely we don't want to showcase that in our replay videos, right?
 
Guys, compared to GT5 when it first launched, is GT6 worse at launch? I bought GT5 after a couple years (2012) so I was past most of this update scandal, but how does GT5 compare to GT6?
 
i thing i have found that is bugging me is the fact that some cars are locked to flappy paddles on g27 wheels, the merc sauber c9 for example u can see the drivers hands move off the wheel and move a gear stick and for no reason at all on my g27 i have to use paddles?, no clutch and no gear stick right "the real driving simulator" mmm not so sure gt

its the same with the ford falcon xr8, gt6 just ruined v8 supercars for me

u could use the clutch and gear stick with these cars on gt5 like they are in real life so why take something away that was real????????????
SVT Cobra is a stick shift car only and can't use this in GT6.
 
when you go to purchase rims, bottom right, near the button, there's a symbol of a water drop. wtf?
Means a wash is included...

Also want to share that I found out you CAN remove the name list on your HUD. Go to the display settings from the in game start menu and uncheck name list. This is not possible from the in race quick menu like it implies.
