Things you do in GT4 when you get bored

Is it me or is this thread is getting boring  Is talking about "boringness" makes you bored? If you are bored and playing a boring game, you get bored and try to do something more boring before u bore yourself into self bordem.Just before you get bored of playing, make yourself bored and play some board game and playing a boring game which isn't boring anymore since you are bored of something else.Quite boring actually.

What the 🤬? I didn't write that!Someone set me up.

Another thing i do when im bored is get in a "normal" car, like one you would see on the street or something, take it to a technical track, and just run a few laps

Speaking of which, a few days ago i showed my friend what "Hemi rage" is 👍

I drive around the Nurb with slower cars, just taking it easy. Not trying to get a fast time or anything, just cruise like I'd drive in real life.

When Im bored I go to the "Professional" Hall and run 5 laps of Tsukuba in the Tuning car GP with any of my favourite rides....or sometimes I just set up a car for this "time attack".Or I just buy cars....

I buy stuff, I buy MORE stuff, I waste money on cars that don't work out right. I don't race to get more $$ ever, I just try to make a very fun car to drive.

You see, the racing is too boring. Either you have an overkill car or one that's too damn slow. And you only get a good race in the slow car.

Lately I have been going in to the Beginner event drivetrain specific races, and trying to figure out how far of a lead I can give the AI before taking off.

Lately I have been taking my stock R34 and running El Capitan. I'm trying to give them a 30 second lead before taking off. I tried 35 seconds, and I ended up coming in second place, back by 6 seconds. So depending on the lineup, I should be able to pull it off.

Photo Travel... and make animated GIFs.. go to my photo gallery to see my current 2. and leave a comment so i get more attention,

I take big/heavy cars, putting them on econo-comfort tires, with a suspension setup that invokes the most understeer, with a 200lb ballast to the frontend & running them around the 'Ring as fast as possible. Then I take said vehicle and give it all the good stuff, with the best suspension setup...take it around the 'Ring again, & compare lap times.

Doing laps around the Ring in a '49 Beetle! :^D I also love doing laps around the two Italian courses in slower cars like a Panda or old Alfa Romeo.

I buy cars like the Mustang GT, then tune it to 400 or so HP and give it R5's and racing brakes. Always faces the prototypes and pwns them, and it's fun to race on differing tracks like Suzuka compared to Sarthe II.

I have a sadistic way of torturing my B-spec driver:

Take a heavy car, in this case Mercedes CL600. Tune it up, 600+ hp is ok.
Suspension:
rear should be very stiff and low with isane camber angle
front: soft and high
..and the most important, tires:
front: N3 (grippy)
rear: N1 (ungrippy :nervous: )

Now, I really want to give mr B-boring some challenge, so we usually head to the green hell, at Nürburg-area..
Pace: use at least 3 maybe 4. Pace 5 is absolutely fatal, for my driver.
Let the show begin.
Watch how he struggles and fights agaisnt law of physics (GT4 physics ;) ).
Actually, the first time I saw him at N.ring with those settings, I was quite amazed. I could never survive those drifts like he does at pace 3.

I drive a 50s era (or earlier) car, change into period-correct racing attire, and drive around the Nurburgring with my steering wheel. Someone once said it looked like Stirling Moss came into the basement to race.

And when you get bored of that, do you try and complete the game?

(Sorry, offside)

Actually, I think that is very interesting. I have never seen it from that point of view before. Autosave does a half-hearted job at preventing these changes, as well as no 'Load Game' option, but the former can be augmented somewhat by restricting Autosave to changing cars.
