Things you do in GT4 when you get bored

Sometimes I try to beat lap records taking the extra chicanes on some of the tracks (the two oldest Fuji tracks, or the bike chicane on the right side of Suzuka, after the hairpin, or the stock car corner on the Infineon sports car course, for examples).

Buy a Diahatsu Midget II, tune it up, and try to get the SLOWEST time possible on nurburgring! I got something like 15'56.xxx

Driving Park and CNG, I have found the clip...Hemi Rage....here you go...and quite amusing anyway....link below

Hemi Rage on Gran turismo 4

:lol::lol: "dat der' coleshiens woz sooooooooooo-eeeeeeeet and pirrrrrrrrdy ta wodge!!"
(In english: Those collisions were sweet and pretty to watch).

For me personally, I usually do one of 3 things:
1. Go crazy on the 1/4 mile with anything strange....just look at sig. :sly:
2. Get a 300-400hp car with a bit of weight (eg. EP3 CTR), fully work it, fit some NOS....go to Le Sarthe II on Family Cup Level 10 and race some Zonda's & Cien's at 350km/h. Or get a BONE STOCK Supra or something similar, fit nitrous only and race at Level 6.
3. Drifting cars with insane power levels w/ no suspension work at Motorland.

Other than my terrible post here, when I get bored, I challenge myself. Usually Mission 34.
I actually won that a few weeks ago...
I either try to break out of tracks, finding any wall possible, or I spend heaps of time with my TVR Spd 12 and try to correct its many faults:grumpy: I remember tuning it for 4 hours straight to no avail:scared:

I like to race around a track and see how fast I can hit the corners(If I drive off the road I just spin around in the dirt).:sly::dopey:💡:yuck:Originally Posted by superberkut

I have been trying to win that for ever thats why I try and drive super fast around tracks.:scared::ouch::dopey::):):):):):):sly::scared::sly::)

I tend to just buy random cars and see what i can do with them. Or I drift cars never meant for drifting. OR I buy cars with funny names.

Cruise in Muscle Cars like Venari.

Sometimes I make comparisons between a wide group of similar cars and host the write-up on here.

I'll take a car and base it off a real version that is tuned in the local area. And then see how it performs.

Then there's certain cars I take out just to toy with, such as my stock Holden Monaro.

Also try to find the least powerful car/ weirdest car/ worst PWR to win the Nür 4 hour race with. So far it's my stock 246 hp Silvia S15 Aero. Next planned is my 226 hp DeLorean. I could use an Elise but it seems too cliche.

Drifting.

Try to make a close endurance race. (So far, took my stock Monaro and won the Nür 4 Hour by 3.2 seconds.)

Hemi Rage. I'll admit it.

Try to take total ****boxes and make them run sub-minute Tsuky runs or sub-8 min Nür runs.

Have impromptu drag races on the La Sarthe unchicaned straight, staying in lane, against a friend.

Bludgeon said buddies into the ground when I race against them.

See what the current WRS is and race it myself. (I don't post anything until I get that MaxDrive. :sigh: )

Find the car closest to my own and just tool around in it. (Stock Toyota SERA with an oil change. Exact rating and dimensions of my Scoupe.)

Cheers,
Jetboy.

I was a bit bored last night so I entered my Subaru 360 in the GTWC Super Speedway race. I was hoping for a podium but it didn't quite turn out that way. I've never been lapped nearly every lap! It was funny though when a pack of two or three cars would come up to lap me and then one would get stuck behind me and lose their position because I was blocking them and a lot of the times I got shunted very hard boosting my speed from 53mph to over 150mph very quickly. Its probably the fastest a 360 has ever gone!!:lol:

Nah...I got about 190mph... I pushed one from behind with a Dodge Ram, on family cup, Test course, set to -10. I ended up making it win the race!

-Macca.

Tried that with a Honda Z Act to see if I could max out 4th gear. I don't think it happened, but I caught the draft and (with nitrous) kept a stable 170 after losing the 787B at the Like The Wind.

Is that the Skyline Draft Mission? If it is, I don't blame you.

Yes it is. They not only bump you, but when they try to slingshot around you, they move out, and move back in at just the right spot to send you spinning into a wall.

I sometimes work on a story I write in Microsoft Word while I have B-Spec running (I normally do this during Endurance races). Sometimes seeing the cars in action on different courses (and in events) gives me ideas for what to write down.

I don't know why, but a cruise on the Nurgburgring in a fully tuned (stock muffler, gearbox and suspension) Honda S500 always cheers me up, when I'm mad or bored. I guess it's because it's a relaxing drive around the 'Ring.
