Things you DON'T want to see in GT5

I wouldn't like to see really old cars like the Ford Model T. I appreciate the historic value of the car but it's pointless to even drive it on a track.

Kind of like Havok_, I would hate to see useless cars like these take up space..

1963 Daihatsu Midget, and the '98 version too.

Just some stuff that annoyed me in previous versions:

- License tests where you need to wait 2 mins. on each attempt before you can take-off :grumpy: (SLR at Nurb anyone?)

- MX-5 Enduro's

- the jagged in-car shadows and framerate-drops from GT5p

- the lack of a 'save' option during races

Apart from this there's little PD can do wrong for me :) (except if they would only implement damage on certain car categories, 'cause that would be a bummer...:nervous:)

NFS/Forza-style bodykits, neons, rims and spoilers etc etc.. including stickers. vinyls that are related to racing and parts manufacturers and sponsors can stay. no more 1 car manufacturers like Dome.

Most awesome mission of them all - at least it actually teched you how to drive both SLR and Nurb.

And yes - before you've actually mastered Nordschliefe you have nothing to do on M32. If you tried to win it without knowing SLR and Nurb as your pocket - and failed constantly and had to wait - it was your problem really.

Matter of perspective - everybody I know actually adore that one.

Don't get me wrong. The test itself was awesome and indeed one of the ultimate challenges in GT4. Just that you really needed to wait two minutes and couldn't do anything else got me annoyed :)
Not that it kept me from trying again and again until I mastered it :sly:

Traction control why can't we have it set up so we can choose to adjust it below setting 1.... say 1/4 or 3/4. i normally drive without it but some vehciles like the ford gt Lm could do with a touch of TC and not the full setting of 1. I heard that Ferrari have such a feature but the model of the car escapes me, i'm sure someone here would know the car i Am on about. Traction control should be about being able to adjust the amount you need, not an off and on switch like we have today in the major cars on the market, it totally destroys the ambience and general feeling of experiencing a good handling car.

pagani had 4 cars in gt4 and 2 in gt3....

It's the exact same model, just the different versions of the year. The base C12 was from 2000, the C12S came later on and the C12S 7.3 after that. Just the newer versions of the C12, not different cars. GT5 needs the F now, instead of those old ones.

I believe its the 599

ability to paint the car and wheels.
No body kits, etc.

Driving missions that make you sit there for 1:30. Start the race with me 1:30 behind, but don't make me sit there forever....

I want to see a more balanced use of the circuits. GT4 over-used Tsukuba in particular, while there was only one event held on Motegi West and none on Suzuka West.

Well said. GT4 made me hate Tsukuba. It was in so many regular events and a ridiculous amount of one-make races, especially with the slower cars that aren't even fun to drive. Made it amazingly annoying to race on Tsukuba.

As for Motegi West I didn't really care since all configurations of Motegi were not to my liking, but Suzuka West really needed to be used. Suzuka East is all right but imo the west track is so much better.

I don't want to see so many fake feeling fantasy tracks. This is something that has always annoyed me, most of the fantasy tracks are to much "fantasy" and not enough "reality". I always liked Apricot Hill because it felt like a track that might actually exist. However than I go to Trial Mountain and there are jagged rocks right along the track with no guard rail or anything which is not realistic at all.

On a related note I would rather the classic tracks look more like they did in GT3. Trial Mountain, Deep Forest, Grand Valley, and Midfield in particular (maybe some others too). I just didn't really like the appearance changes in GT4 as well as minor differences in the track layouts (same track map but some corners were changed quite a bit). Replaying GT4 recently in addition to GT3, GT4 actually feels like a step backwards in some regards like that. Most of the tracks seem more matured and more like real life race tracks but the feeling just isn't the same or as good as GT3.

I know GT is a sim game, but that unrealism in Trial Mountain is exactly why I love the track.

I most DEF do NOT want to see JAGGY shadows in cockpit and outside cockpit of a grid shadow on the car in front of me, eg: their rear bumper.

Please NO minivans,no 80 HP pos little cars,no station wagons,no 1901 2 hp things. Please dont waste game space on that stuff. GT4 was an awesome game but a LOT of the content was not what I would prefer. And PLEASE no Citrion 2CV or what ever that thing was.

Yes, there were approximately 60 different skylines in GT4. I believe at least two from every generation was acceptable, but not V-Spec II, M-Spec, Nur, Midnight Pearl edition.

There weren't that many NSX models. In fact, I would like to see the Alex Zanardi Edition in GT5.

I would have actually liked the Model T if I didn't have to painstakingly attempt to conquer the S licenses with all Gold. The only Gold I got in S was the Chamonix Ice Rally. :guilty:
