Things You Hate About NFS:U

Do you just have to whine about it?

Basically there is one track and its setup for you a few different ways...thats like the only thing I dislike about the game. Beyond that I found it very entertaining and I don't even play online.

Bad: Physics, Ricer ****
Good: Graphics (on PC), I payed nothing for it.

I hate the strictly night driving, most of the rims, most of the vinyls, the wide body kits, the selection of body kits, hoods, spoilers, taillights, headlights, muffler tips, and colors. Don't get me wrong, I like the game, they just need better selections. Since there are only a few items I like, most of my cars look the same.

Don't like Underground at all......give NFS a bad name! Hated the cheapness of it.....the story line was rubbish, the graphics! bloody hell they were bad on PS2...jeez...how does PD manage it soo good eh! AI was bad, control was bad, got boring really quickly and a limited choice of cars.....more of a rent rather than buy game! too much hype and it turned out to be pretty poor. Things that were OK were the EA music trax and maybe the drift mode......but all in all.......not great!

All of the above - and probably something else if I could be bothered to think about it :grumpy:

Blah, trading it in NFS:U2 (with some cash)
Anyways, I made a thread when I read an article that EA may be going back to the original concept of the game.

why would they do that those games sell half of what nfsu did. not dissing the old ones but "ricer" culture is big.i love nfsu anyway the only downfall was the amount of unique vinils.

My biggest gripe with the first one (not so much a problem on the second one) is the way the computer sandbags and cheats. It seems like the faster you go, the faster that the computer goes. If you pull a big lead, the more liekly that the computer will pull off an impossibly fast lap time and beat you. It's not like in GT3 where you know if you can turn xx:xx lap time, you will likely win. in NFSU it works better to hold back a bit, let the computer lead by about 2-3 seconds, then turn your fastest laps toward the end of the race. You can also leave the nitrous off your car, because the computer won't use it if you don't have it...

I played NFSU for the first time the other day and found that the AI cheats in a big way. On drags the smallest hint of me over taking and BAM!! the AI will do his best to try and murder me be by pushing me into oncoming trafic or into a cross road. Other than that not a bad game which shocked me as I was never interested at all in it.

The star reputations points, you need, because without that, I wouldn't have to rice out a car......

I hate how I wasted my money on it. I bought it the first day it came out, played it for 2 days, and have not touched it since.

It sucked ass.

Hiya! :D :embarrassed:  Meow! (='.'=)

I agree with that! I turned it back in for good store credit after a week. Here is what I dont like about NFS:U 1 and 2:

1. Races felt repetitive
2. The gameplay is still too easy
3. The vareiety of the body kits have not gone up as advertised or as good as they advertised it
4. Not much of a great deal of cars
5. In 2, the free roaming, like gamespot says, take away the real action. Makes you drive all the way over there just to get a race! The free roaming was not neccessary at all because of how little intereaction you get from it. Waste of developement time. If roaming was as or better than GTA series, the score of the game would have shot UP!

Finally, some people still do NOT understand why Gamespot give NFS:U2 a lower score than the first one. Read it over and over. The review is right... everything they complained about begin to fall into places as I advanced up to 50% of the game completion. You really do begin to see the repetiveness , waste of time free roaming, little variety and just plain too easy.

I wish NFS series could have made the game better by giving it more variety and a very interactive free roaming. But for now, I just stay away from the series and this could be my last.

i hate that you have to rice out your car. and the fact they have a skyline and no silvia.and i think they need better music like cummon snoop doggs career is over and has been since the song "still D.R.E" and that wasnt even on one of his records

1) Understeer like mad for an fwd car and oversteer at random occasions
2) the body kits have gotten uglier
3) rain every 2-3 minutes of a race is damn annoying
4) Front-Wheel-Drive Drifting
5) No police in a game based around illegal street racing
6) no crash physics
7) stupid AI
8) forced car ricing
9) SUV's instead of adding more cars
10) Most idiotic, non-sensical slang words I've ever heard in my life.
11) Most of the racers I've seen up to this point have been white. Most of the chicks on the magazines have been asian... How about mixing it up?
12) It's made by Electronic Arts who is becoming the next Microsoft
13) loading in the middle of a race... they REALLY need to fix that up. It's rediculous that a game would have this happening
14) absurdly long load times
15) too many loading screens
16) sucky soundtrack
17) 2 words... Hachi Roku ;)
18) Providing the assumption that all street racing is done at night
19) The wet road effect is damn annoying to look at
20) It pales in comparison to Burnout 3

That's all I can come up with for now. I'm so glad I didn't pay for this one... or for any EA title that I have (aside from Fight Night 2004)

I havent posted in a while, but this thread is just too funny.

Well I liked the game because of one reason. I cant remember the name of it but, the races that you pull up behind the other car and try and loose it, Think its called OutRun. I liked those.

The rest they should have added daylight, a color sceme like in Test drive 5 {if ya'll remember that one. or even Tokyo extreme racer}, a better plot if they needed one, cross country races like in the other need for speeds and cops. I love getting chased.

But let me add my hateration in too.

I hate the fact that theres no damage.

I also hate how they keep the catchup on during career, I wish you could turn it off, because no matter how many seconds of a lead you have, by the last lap, your fighting off an AI. :ouch:

Hell, I wasn't 30% done, and already noticed the free-roaming before 20%.

Part 1 was too short, it took me like a weekend to beat. Part 2 FORCES you to rice out your car (or SUV). Story not done in video format (I guess they couldn't afford to pay Brooke Burke enough to be filmed or whatever). Exaggerated drift physics, no way in real life is a FF gonna beat a FR in a drift comp (this is much horrible online when I'm in a TT or STi and all my competition are using Golfs).
