Things You Want To See In GT6 Besides Vehicles and Tracks

I'd like to see that in competitions SRF is disabled, turned off by default and cannot be turned on.

To me watching runs like this is a disgrace, closer to mario kart than to a wannabe simulator. One of the main reasons behind those drifts is SRF was forced on (yep) in GT:A 2013.

I think the slip angles achieved in this video aren't too excessive. I think GT's tendency to start rendering tire smoke and the black slid marks too quickly make it appear the car is drifting more then it is.

I agree about the SRF though

This quick tune on-the-track was even in V-Rally 2 from 1999.

I got this idea after hitting my head on the sink yesterday  (kidding)

Different stages of RM modification or RM modification for different purposes.

Let me explain:

You've got a car that can be race modified. You can have a stage one race modification, which includes only a roll cage, some basic weight reduction and a power upgrade, as well as fully custom transmission and suspension, Stage two would add in some aero parts and a racing number along with a greater power increase, stiffer chassis and other performance goodies, Stage three would be full on Racecar. Complete Aero conversion, Full Roll cage and all the stuff, Race livery and number, etc.

As for Rm'ing for different purposes:

You've got an Impreza WRX, you can race modify it for rallying purposes (like the impreza RM in GT5), make it a GT300 race car, or make it a touring car.

This could apply for cars that participate in various series in different forms IRL.

But knowing PD, they won't do it :(

Yes, this came to my mind too. RMs for different purposes would bring fresh air to Gran Turismo.

I think 'weight reduction 1' and 'chassis stiffening' or whatever its called is the equivalent to the RM stage 1 you propose.

Speaking of which - it always annoys me when people say 'STREET CARS ONLY!!!11' in a room, yet they are driving a car that is stage 3 weight reduction, chassis stiffened, lexan windows, etc... and then get mad because you are driving a concept car or a Nismo tune GT-R. The Nismo GT-R or the concept car is much more of a 'street car' then your gutted heap!

I think, at least premium cars, could show these mods in game. a rendered roll cage, and lexan windows riveted to the car, would do something to set apart a stock car from one that is heavily modified.

1-racing against your own AI in customized race in and you choose cars from your garage.
2-drag race.
3-fast forward AI races.
4-more credit limit.
5-that test track race with HKS GTR.
6-engine damage from not changing oil (GT5-x2010 drove it till HP reached 1330 hp).
7-more graphical engine modification-you see the engine and the parts added to it (far fitch).
8-Engine swap (like forza you can create ford fiesta with v8 engine but you cannot handle the excess power with short wheel base).

I went to the Indy Pitstop photomode location in GT5 today (if you haven't already, I highly recommend you do) and it struck me.

Imagine combining spectating an online race with photomode; having the ability to walk through the stands and pitlanes, snapping away in real time.

My personal wish for GT6 is related to Arcade Mode.

Arcade Mode, as it was on GT5, is good enough, in my opinion, except for one detail: the car selection. Allow me to explain:

I want to keep the ability to choose favorites from your garage, so that, if you want to race a custom car you used on GT Mode, you can.

However, I also want the "Arcade Only" selection of cars to be expanded, and by expanded, I mean including the total car list. How will this work? It'll work like it did in GT4. Buy a car in GT Mode and its stock equivalent will be made available in Arcade.

Resuming, you would be able to select cars either from your garage's favorites or by going to the manufacturer (like the dealerships, but in Arcade), picking a car and choosing from that model's available colors.

Let's hope we are no longer blinded by weather change tracks in clear weather. I'm pretty sure everyone has faced this same exact problem.

Fiddling around with the exposure settings in the pause menu helped.

Never really had a problem with that

Now exiting tunnels while driving in cockpit view is annoying

Now THAT is terrible! Eiger Nordwand Short Track/Weather Change on hood/roof view is terrible.
Yeah. Kinda blinds you there for a moment, you have to adapt your line to the incoming corner immediately or your toast :P

Adding customizable front downforce for tuned cars. As present in GT5 only race cars or cars that came with adjustable front aero use it, even if you install an aftermarket aero piece.

The used car section should be made up of used cars from other online players. At first every single car in the GT6 world should be new, but in time once players start selling their new cars the game takes them and puts them on sell in the used car sections of another player's game.

Each car should have a title that lists every player that has owned the car before you

I would love to see the Performance Point system rid of using the wing downforce. I would like for the cars to have real drag, and for it to be made that taking off 15 points of rear downforce cant equal another +100hp. I see this problem at downforce tracks like Monaco as well.

Most of the changes mentioned in this thread have my vote.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned this change that is required about the light from the headlight?

When the headlights are set to high beam, instead of the track getting more visible or bright, the fences or walls around the track get more of the light focus. Sometimes it's of no use to have the headlights.

Even the brightness should differ from car to car. The difference being due to some cars having smaller headlights while some have dual head lamps.

The headlights only start during dusk (weather change race) or we can flicker them in the day races. But there should be an option of starting them when we want.

Would love to have something like this! 👍👍

1. Livery editor
- this is something pretty much everyone wants.

2. more non-Japanese cars in gt6
- about 60% of the cars in gt5 are Japanese. There should be more American and European cars for sure.

3. MORE LMP's
-I've gotten tired of the original LMP's, and am begging for more different ones.

I agree, but this thread is for wishes that aren't cars or tracks.

In the event that we don't get a event generator, I'd like to at least be able to select what car the AIs use, and allow the AIs to use DLC cars. (They don't do so in GT5, I believe.)

I wish the Youtube uploader would reappear or at least tge ability to export replays as MP4 or AVI.

I suggest that there should be a new type of race mode in GT6 called Relays.

It's basically a one (or however many cars there are but I'll get to that later) lap race where one car races each sector. To pass the "Baton" on, the car that is getting passed to must cross the sector line within .5 of a second of the car passing. To prevent collisions, the car that had just finished the sector will be ghosted. The winner is the team who's final car crosses the line first.

For a visual example of how a relay works using Midfield, refer to the picture below. Credit to ICallShotgun for original use of the picture.

Teams will be made up of the number of sectors there are on the course. A maximum of six teams can be racing at once. Now, there will be rules to decide who goes against who. That means no Fiat 500 vs X2010 on the second leg. These rules can be flexed or tightened at discretion of the host.

Now the races don't have to be one lap. Rules can be changed so that every car runs a sector for up to 5 laps (varies for different courses), or every car runs 1 full lap before exchange. Another option is a continuous relay, in which every car runs one sector until each one has completed 1 full lap.

Thoughts?

I would love to see installable twin turbos for some cars, not all. I also wish you could modify race cars a bit more. Also, I am not really a fan of the whole nascar thing. I really wish that they did Indycar or Formula 1. Livery editor would be nice, and I kind of hope for lots of high quantity DLCs. I hope the Le Mans races aren't actually 24 hours, just an hour of time-lapse (because seriously, who has time to sit down for 24 hours and do a race. Also, some play stations could overheat.)

Eh?

What's wrong with NASCAR? They can do more than go in circles you know.

Anyway, the license needed to have F1 racing in a game is incredibly costly, so Polyphony took a shortcut and just had cars from one manufacturer - Ferrari. This is also why they cannot be raced against any other cars; if there were other makes of F1 cars racing against the Ferraris then that would be considered F1 racing, and so the F1 license would be needed.

The only reason there are Ferrari F1s is because they are somehow "special" and have free reign with their licensing.

I kind of hope for lots of high quantity DLCs.

You're in luck 👍

Would love Truck racing!

On PC, I used to play Mercedes Benz Truck Racing. Quite an old game now! Used to work on my Windows 98 OS. Thoroughly enjoyed controlling the monstrous machines!

Anyway, how about Monster Trucks then?
