Thats true but it took the GT franchise so long to get to PS2's full potential, hopefully they will be on the ball with PS3.

   exactly my wish, ive got a strong feeling they are going to take a long time to produce the damn thing, ona lighter note gt3 was released just after ps2 so hopfully same thing is going to happen for the next generation.

Sorry 4 my poor english , i d like to see in GT5 a gran turismo "second" mod where we could see damages on cars ..... this game is perfect it only misses that REAL gaming. :)

and maybe update rallye mode , which is a bit exaggerated for skids (not sure of the word , maybe drifts ) and slips… :yuck:

Whatever , it s a huge work they heve to do , cause making a better game an this one is not an easy challenge.

I hope to see as well another view , inside cockpit with a demolishing sound ( like in GTR ) :scared:

I had some ideas that could be good for the endurance races.

1. as your tyres get more worn the risk of getting a puncture or blow out increases, especially if ride the curbs or go off the track.

2. mechanical brake downs, like a blown turbo, cracked exhaust etc. stuff that isn't race ending but slows you down and can be fixed in the pits.

3. like most people here I'm not too impressed with the AI/b-spec driver so some more options would be great. Last night I did the 1st race of the 1000 Miles in the Euro hall and it kept revving well in to the red and I wished I could have stopped it doing that.

4. all of the above as optional/adjustable!

Only one screen display at the Tune Shop - a scrollable list of everything, with tick-boxes to select what you want to purchase. At the bottom, only one button to install everything. Probably a saving of 10 - 15 minutes.

iPod compatability. Naming a playlist "GT5" will be recognised by the game if your pod is plugged into the PS2/3 USB drive. You can then choose songs from the list as race music. (similar compatability with USB flash memory sticks).

Just a thought.

Why is damage such a popular issue? You can go wreck your car and get pissed off about paying for it in real life. Why would you want to do that in a game? Maybe they could add rush hour traffic too. That's a real life aspect that is missing from the game. Hell they have a Honda Odyessy why not have a race called "car pool line after soccer practice"? I'm not trying to insult anyone here but I guess I don't understand the popular demand for damage. If someone could enlighten me as to why they want to see damage in the game, that would be awsome. Personally I'm more worried about the GT series putting the qualifing back in for every race. Though I do think tire blow outs and mechanical break downs might be appropriate.

For my self I consider damage to be something that would add a bit more to the excitement of a race. Don't get me wrong, I'm perfectly happy with GT4 having no damage, I just believe that (optional) damage would be something that gives the more skilled player that extra challange, something that would make lapping the 'ring while on the limit a greater rush and it would make the racing a bit cleaner. I admit that it would be a bit pointless on 3 lap sprint races and it would need a major imrovement of the AI for it work well.

GT2 had that optoinal damage option, though it never showed up on the car, the car just steered left if you hit a wall shrply

I havn't read every reply on the topic of damage issue but the makers of the cars didn't want to see their beautiful cars get wrecked on a game.

Plus their wouldn't be as many cars and other stuff in the game if damage had been put into the game. Also this may have been another part in the game that could've been disapointing.

And honestly, who WOULDN'T want a demolition derby mode??

👍 :) Figure of 8 track with a small jump at the centre.

I'd really like to see the tuning parts purchasing made into one scrollable(sp?) screen with tick boxes. Thats the most annoying part of the game for me.

Yeah, I guess optional damage would be ok but it would take up valuable disc space that might be used for better things (at least in my opinion). But I guess damage would be alright, hell NFS4 had it and that was one of my favorite games (NFS 6 was awsome too). It would just be hard for me to buy and M5 and then watch myself destory its beautiful figure while I'm not paying attention and run into a wall during photo practice. But of couse if it was optional that wouldnt be a problem. If they are going to do damage they should concentrate more on specific chassis, engine and suspension damage as a result of colisions.

Return of glowing orange brakes.

Point to point Rally stages.

Better sounds.

less tracks, more cars.

Better variety of cars.

BETTER SOUNDS..I want to hear the shriek of a rotary at 11k RPM, and the growl of a Subaru's boxer at 3k rpm. I want the head pounding "thump thump thump" of a V8 at idle.

A paint shop, and an Engine swap place.

EMS turning, Turbo timing, and more involved tuning...

Hi

There's been a lot of suggestions that I can only agree with. After reading the 6 first pages, I kind of lost patience, so I'm sorry if this has been suggested before.

I would like some more advanced options when buying wheels and tires for your car, like choosing the size of the rims and width and profile of the tires. I do not understand why a simple thing as this is not possible. One of the first things you can do cheap to improve handling would be to use lower profile tires.

Another thing is the graphics when buying rims. It would be nice to see the whole car maybe with the front wheels turned so that you can get an impression of how the rims look 'in 3D' - if you understand what I mean. Maybe this is not important from a simulation point of view, but when you have a game with such cool graphics it would still be nice.

The rear view mirror needs improvement imo. In the mirror you see a tiny car, but if you press L1 the chasing car is practically right up your ass.

I don't see why people are so opposed to body kits. I'm not exactly a fan of them myself, actually I find them butt ugly, but no one is forcing you to buy those items for your car? As long as your racing results are not dependent on the look of your car as in NFSU I don't see a problem...

Gary.
The ability to do doughnuts, and full burnouts.

I'm not a ricer or anything, but a HKS Hyper Silvia should be able to do both, easily.

Gary.

Stop, keep holding the brake, hit the throttle and hold it, apply full steering lock, release brake = DOUGHNUT!

OH AND WHERES THE LITTLE MAN AT THE FINISH LINE WITH THE CHECKERED FLAG HUH???!!!

...or the marshalls around the circuit, waving blue flags when I'm lapping people.

How about some yellow/red/oil flags while I'm at it?

I would also like to actually do a burnout without the car moving like in GT3. Even cars with 1,000 hp move when you do burnouts. More tire smoke would be nice too.

"Objects in mirror are closer than they appear"

I would be very, VERY, pleased, if

-Cars could be painted.

-Grindewald would be taken back.

(-And Opel Tigra Race car too!)

-There was a "GT tournament" in 2-player battle: AI cars, "championship" points and you would decide how many laps and races, but the races would be random.

-And ALL tracks to 2-player battle. It sucks that all the cool tracks are off-limits...

That's about it. MONSTER (aka Suzuki Escudo hyper-rally) RULES! :sly:

Simple thing really, and from the early websites, I thought it would be in....

horns!

How satisfying to give a 'beep beep' as you go flying past someone - or a good long 'parp' if your trying to get by.

Or am i missing a hidden feature?

to be honest no damage makes the game more unique and why does everybody want it anyway? PD would do an incredible damage model were if you hit a wall at 50 mph your car would be ****ed and you would not be able to race that car until you pay to get it repaired and then what will the thread on gt5 be ,
"DAMAGE MODEL ON GT5 SUCKS" and then everybody starts *****ing and to be honest i dont give a **** about damage , i would rather see something like better car sounds , a paint shop for your cars , online play and the ability to link it up to a PC and use 3d modelling software to make new cars and tracks and a website were you could download them of a website and onto your ps2 or ps3 (gt5 would be on the ps3) and that would keep me happy , the ability to download cars and create your own and use them in gt5 when it comes out would shut everyone up who wants more cars and in a way i guess if PD did that for gt5 it would be taking a leaf out of microsofts book with download packs of more cars and tracks like they did with PGR2
