This is indeed a massive problem with B-Specing the Super Speedway enduro. I once used a 787B & after a few pit stops thought my tires where ok to do the last 10 laps, it did 2 laps confortably & I thought it was all gonna be totally fine but from then on, it all started. Sliding into walls every corner. I pitted I think on lap 96 to save some spinning time, past goes 2nd & 3rd place. Then I A-Speced the last 4 laps to make up some time but they where to far ahead at this point to catch up on B-Spec or A-Spec, by the time I finish the race I was only in 3rd place. Very anoying :grumpy:

For the super speedway enduro I used the Peugot 905 with hard racing front and super hard rear racing tyres. On pace 3 or 4, with overtake on, he was getting between 37 and 40 laps per pit stop, and keeping up with the pack. He won by about 27 seconds the last time I made him race.

My B-spec driver is endearingly named Billy-Bob Wally, after watching his sheer incompetence with a usually invincible Formula GT car. He seemed to have a fetish for three point turns around most of the Hong Kong circuit - even on pace 1. Not good for one's win ratio... :banghead: Mind you he doesn't do too bad in the 88CV or the CLK-GTR. I would say they're more his cars than mine.

I noticed while he was running my Sarth-2 24 hour race. Bob had developed a nice little tick while racing down the track. He would be flying along at around 225 mph and just decided to scrape the left side of the car along the wall untill he came to a grinding hault. At which point he would back up and start along his merry way.

Another reason why he has his own car.

Thats a big problem with Le Mans races on GT4. But why does it happen?

See, I would approach this is a little different. See if you can see a pattern here. The F-1's are his, the Ford Gt40 's are his. The Pontiac Sunfire GXP concept is mine. The Mugen Motul Civic Si Race car is mine. The Bentley Speed 8 Race car is his. The Lotus Europa Special is mine.

I look at it this way, he won those cars, I won these. And we both agree to share the spoils...

This is a subject that has been discussed at length in these hallowed cyber-halls. One theory (especially on Sarthe II) is that the AI still tries to take the two chicanes that don't exist. Another is the settings of the car and the roughness of the track causing the car to become skittish and lose control at high speed down the main straight. I tend to think it's the latter, as the same thing happened to me in A-Spec when my suspension was set too low and too hard.

I haven't unleashed my Billy-Bob Wally on Sarthe yet. I'm almost not game to let him loose...

What I'm in a habit of doing is if I have multiples of cars that Wally drives, I keep one of them for him and the other/s for me. When his one gets a bit long in the miles, I run through and win him a new one, then sell the old one to pay for whatever mods are on it. That way he always has a relatively new car (i.e. chassis fatigue and engine wear), and since it's usually a valuable car, I make money out of the changeover rather than losing money paying for the refreshers on an old car.

As long as he shares them with you... "No! It's my Bentley. You can't have it.":grumpy:

I forgot my B-Spec Bob's name, Ill rename him to Billy Bob Bo Jangles(wait, i think that was his name!). Anyway he drives my Pescaralo and uses it to do ALL my enduro's. He only has to do the 3 24hr races. Then he has to get a classic Euro car to do the "1000 Miles!" in European Events

Bob "owns" two cars: One of the Abt TT-r Touringcars, and one of the Pescarolo C60 Judds. His Pescarolo worked through El Capitan and Laguna Seca 200miles enough to gather some 25000-30000KM, and the Abt TT-r has a similar mileage. Actually, the Abt TT-r was used as an A-spec money-pig on the Capri race, easy - until I found the DTM. The Pescarolo was so worn out, that I won 200 A-spec points in "Like the Wind" against Group-C racers...
He put some miles on one of the FGTs, too - for Laguna Seca endurances.

So basically, Abt TT-r, Pesky C60/Judd, And one FGT.

Plenty of cars in my garage have been driven by Bob only. Most of them were cars that I wouldn't be seen dead in but which were required for 1 make series races which I had to complete in order to get to 100%. All of these cars have been radically modified in order to give Bob the best chance possible. Otherwise, he has certainly put the most miles by far on my Audi R8 and FGT car as he used these for many endurance races. He also has almost exclusive use of a (very high mileage) and modified Tommy Kaira ZZ-11 which he cruises around the El Capitan 200 in a low maintenance effort to build my bank balance.

Actually, come to think of it I do have bob-specific cars, although I haven't bothered to set them up for him other than giving him way more power than he should need.

The Merc CLK Touring Car for the DTM (I've done the series twice myself in A-spec, and Bob's done it about 20 vor 30 times) is his secondary car, I've only driven it twice.

His main car is the Toyota Minolta 88-CV, which he's used to win nearly every endurance race for me. Well, every one that he can overpower the competition on. I've got at least 3 copies of the car, but the one with all the miles is Bob's. No idea how many, but put at least one run of the endurances it's eligible for, plus the shorter races that I ran it in, plus about 10-15 runs through the El Capitan endurance, and that should be about right. I'd guess about 15,000 miles.

I think Kent and Dimitrov should be a little more polite to Bob, who is a jolly decent chap and does good work for all of us with no reward for himself.

How would you like to be called a "software personification"?
.
Robert
Imagine me, as a piece of code, a software. Electrical pulse read bit by bit, giving instructions and seeding data around. I'm just data. I'm binary. I'm a streaming flow of current passing redundant oscillations.

I would be very glad if someone used to anthropomorphize me and call me "Robert".

I do have a few cars that are mostly used just for B-spec.

--Mercedes-Benz CLK Touring Car for the DTM races (when I have time to babysit to make money)

--Chevrolet Camaro LM Race Car for the El Capitan Enduro (money maker when I don't have time to babysit)

--Toyota Minolta Toyota 88C-V Race Car for most all of the enduros

I B-spec with the F1 some but I also drive it myself as well I do use two different settings for it depending on who is driving it.

Bobs car for me is the f1; Great car, but I can drive my Judd Pescarolo faster. Basically Bob and the F1 is an edurance money maker. ;)

Dimitrov seems determined to prove that Bob is not a real person.

Well, I can assure you all that Bob is real. He has a beautiful wife and two lovely children. I have met him on several occasions and we keep in touch by phone.

Bob is my only true friend.

well Robert has 2 cars so far cause i restarted
s2000 lm (he's getting good with this one )

pescarolo Courage C60 (his present for winning his first enduro for me)

robert is a good man who needs to get a little respect he may get behind the wheel of my 1000+ HP viper

me and robert are good friends we race on weekdays and screw around on weekends

Dutch? Nah, not likely. Deutsche, probably.
Deutsch is German and means German, so the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (or Deutsche Touring Car Meistershaft, as it's called in GT4) is a German name, not an English one. Combining these words to make "Deutsche Touring Car Championship" is all wrong, because then you'll have the English names where it shouldn't be.
Although "Masters" is the English word for the German version "Meister" (think of the Stiffmeister, for example), it's DTMs name. GT4 has done the opposite of Deutschland themselves, switching the English and German words (Touring Car = English, Tourenwagen = German, Meistershaft = Deutsch, Master = English).
What you've one is an all English word, however German is the English word for Deutschland. Do you know what you've said? Dutch is the language of Holland, or the Netherlands (Nederland as it's called by the natives). So you've practically said the "Nederlandse Touring Car Meistershaft". Language is fun, eh? Just wanted to point it out, it's so uneccessary when Dutch (English word) is being used for Deutsch (German word).

Eirik

I don't think i've ever seen someone from outside the Netherlands to use that name before i do when correcting someone. I wub u.

For some reason, Bob is called Erin at my place. She gets to drive pretty much everything, my cars are hers. She gets the CLK Touring car mostly for herself though, except when i'm taking it for Midfield...

Am i too weird? God, i hope so.

The only car Bob gets all to himself is the Mercedes CLK Touring car.
I don't think I've ever driven it. He drives it in the dutch touring car championship and makes me all my money.

i, personally, would recommend trying to drive the CLK Touring Car. It is one of the earlier touring cars you can aquire and it does handle nicely. It is one of my favorite touring cars...try it out. what do you have to lose? time?

Well, Bob was just given another car. A red SUZUKI GSX-R/4 '01.

I got tired of running the races over and over to obtain the color that I wanted and only getting the red or yellow car. So I sent him in and sure enough, he wins the one that I was trying to get.

So now hes up to 3 cars.
1. SUZUKI GSX-R/4 '01
2. JAGUAR XJR-9 Race Car '88
3. Opel Calibra Touring Car 1995

I have three Mazda Miatas for b spec Henry (aka Hank). He had to drive the roadster enduro many times to win me all the colors of RX-7 LM's. I felt bad for him after awhile and bought him a second Miata, and finally a third since he was putting in so many laps! I set them up to drive nice for me and hoped Henry would adjust his (so called) driving style accordingly.

My B-Spec Driver, Butch, was given the Cadillac Cien, the Mitsubishi HSR, and the AC cars 427 S/C which he does OK (or he wrecks in the series races, and some endurance races.), and today I gave him an Opel Tigra Which he will be using in the future.

. . . today I gave him an Opel Tigra Which he will be using in the future.

I have one of those sitting in my garage. Its a 6.2 special.
I bought it because I though it looked cool. And i remember the Ice rally one from a previous GT.

How much potential does it have?

Hmmmm. Might have to experiment with that one to see what it can do.

Added another car to Bob's garage. An RX-7 RZ.
He seems to be pretty good in it. It was funny watching him drift around the ring.

well robert got 2 more whips from me
Opera S2000

and the infamous teal and orange ferrari killer

he hasnt driven the GT40 yet but im expecting great things out of that driving session

A Mitsubishi Eclipse in my garage belongs to Bob (or Arne, as I call him, Norwegian). He lets me borrow it if he's nice. The car has soon got 700.000 miles on it, I think "Bob" really likes to drive when I'm not playing the game.

Eirik

WOW, and i thougt that my bob was getting a mileAGE.

( BOB ( sabine ) drove 260.ooo km's

Bob doens't touch any of my 243 cars! He found a job at the car wash, and he's happy there. Every once in a while I'll pop in and tease him with all my cars. And then I have to yell at him cause they only dry off one half of the car, they never get the passenger side. Oh Well, I never really expected much out of Bob.

hahahahahahahaha

Bob is useless with my garage. He once crashed my Aston Martin DB9 which was stock and I have never let him drive my decent cars again.
But I never set up cars for him but this is a good idea......
Maybe people should post their setups for bobs cars so we can all use them much like the "Tuner Garages" we all ready have but instead "Bob's Garages". What do you think?
