I instead give Alberto (that's my Bob) control over anything I don't feel like doing. He nearly has personal ownership of the Audi R8 I once had, but with no more PS2 he became depressed and has laid around for the past 2 years. Now, I told him GT5 is coming, and he was all happy. IExcept his emotions are starting to interfere.
I'm currently giving him access to my Ferrari F2007, which he likes to do 20 lappers against other F2007's at the Eiger.

My personal Bob has his own personal info! How strange
Alberto Visquel is his full name, he is 25. He is Andrew Hall's (me) crew chief, I am his.We have ran in nearly every GT race to offer. He is credited for 4 Le Mans victories, while I am credited with a whole bunch load of wins.

Strange though, because he has no licenses.

He became seriously attached to my Shelby Cobra 427 and the Audi R8 Race Car, but he does not own them, instead they stay in my garage because Alberto is homeless.

Alberto is also a F1 Champion. (The fans love me more, though.) :dopey:

I fired Bob. When he was doing the 24h nurburgring race in the Nissan R92 he didn't pit, and decided ploughing ahead (into stuff) after 8 laps on bright red tyres was the best plan. Unfortunately, I didn't notice, as I'd assumed he wouldn't do something so stupid and had gone for pizza. By the time I'd got back he'd whittled away my 21 lap lead down to a four minute deficit to the new 1st place car.

After that, B-Spec Ned took up where bob left off and slowly became a better driver over time. He's got his own Astra DTM car and I bought him a shiny new Monaro for his stunning performance in the El Capitan race. I was gonna get him a Formula GT but when he's 5 seconds off my pace around HSR in one of those, he doesn't deserve it. Actually, that's not entirely fair, because I was 10 seconds faster than any of the opponent Formula GT cars out there. That said, he had some questionable attempts at overtaking at Le Mans.

But yes, now he's homeless, and I've repossessed all of his cars. Maybe I'll hire him again when GT5 comes out, he may well be a very valuable member of my team alongside Ricky Bobby (b-spec nascar) and Stig (production/race car). I'll probably enter Ned in the kei car endurance series.

I've managed to get my, er, Bob to so nearly defeat an R92CP in an 905, oil changed only, around High Speed Ring over 8 laps. And don't forget, it's a standing start track and the Peugeot is slow on those with its "slow-motion" gearbox.

Ha! What an awesome thread. I'm sure I'll kill some time reading it if it's slow at work this week at some point.

My "Bob" (sometimes it's a Beth or a Bettina or a Bert or a Bill...) doesn't have exclusive ownership of any car in any of my 8 games! :( If he or she can prove to me that a car should be deserved (by KEEPING UP WITH MY PACE during 1,000 Miles or some Enduro) sure. But B-spec drivers always let me down.

I usually view my Bobs as being sort of like apprentices or interns who warm up my cars for me. If they're lucky, I'll let them actually race now and again.

My Bob has only done the enduros for the most part and Formula GT. He has done some manufacturer races, but has embarrassed me in failing to win a few of them, so he was fired and replaced by Gerhard Berger (innovative name). Mr. Berger proceeded to win a Mini race @ New York by 0.001 seconds, only picking up the lead a nanosecond from the finish line, confounding everyone including the official scorer, who decided that the 2nd place Mini finished 4 seconds behind even though he crossed the line with me. Whenever Berger drives my Minolta, I always decide I need a new one afterwards because he manhandles it.

I fired bob after i completed the four hour nurburgring endurance. because of him i came in dead last, and i never used b spec again. I find more joy out of winning when i do it myself anyway.

Wow! talk about a blast from the past. I made this thread almost 4 years ago!

Glad to see it back in the mix again!
