This might be a bit controversial, but I don't like Laguna Seca

Laguna Seca isn't my favorite track but it's become a staple of the series. Getting rid of that would be just as bad as getting rid of Trial Mountain. It shouldn't be cut.

This might be a bit controversial....

Here at GTP?

Whatever could have given you that idea?

Although not one of my absolute favorites, I have grown to appreciate Laguna Seca.

I think I would prefer it stayed. If it had to be replaced, I wouldn't want Road America to supplant it.

I'll have to go with the general consensus, keep it.

I used to dread Leguna Seca in all races and would take whatever place I could just to get through it. But, after playing it in iRacing (Over & Over for Rookie) and Forza 3, I've grown to appreciate the course. Though I would say Willow Springs is more of a challenging course the "Guna" I still say keep it. It's tradition & history for us Americans.

I am quite a bit of a ALMS/Le Mans lover and do hope Road America, Petit Le Mans, Sebring, and La Sarthe are in GT5 (along with the cars as well). I would love to see PD's version of the courses and cars.

This is how I also feel about it. But seriously though I never liked LS aside from the corkscrew which is its only saving grace.

Ride around it in a real car and see how you feel then.

If we're going to talk boring, I should bring up Tsukuba. At least Laguna has the corkscrew.

Tsukuba is a great track. I love watching the Super Lap Battle videos on YouTube, and can't wait to set my own records when GT5 comes out. One of my favorite tracks. 👍

I like Laguna. I hope it stays. I am really looking for a confirm on Motegi personally. My favorite GT4 track. And don't say Tsukuba is boring. Just because its short doesnt mean its not fun. That track is legend man! :)

I think it should stay.

But if they were to replace it with anything, it should be Sebring, for the lulz.

Laguna has some good corners and some bad ones, but overall I think it should stay in GT5. Is there not room for Laguna and some new tracks?

I'd love more tracks, especially the Brooklands Grand Prix track as this could be used for classic races. Also for motorcycle racing.

Laguna Seca is the American equivalent of the 'Ring...how could you want to take it out?? :odd: I'd like to see Watkins Glen get added actually....everytime I see the Grand-Am cars or NASCAR race on it, I get a little giddy, it looks like such a great flowing track. :embarrassed:

I say Laguna Seca should stay. In fact, I would want even more tracks, particularly Formula 1 Tracks. One such example is Spa-Francorchamps. The reason why is it gave me a lot of trouble when I drove that course in other games. Especially that sharp right-hander right before the straight.

Hence, it should be in GT5.

Rouen Les Essarts in France is another good track, i played on it in GPL.Lots of trees around it ( i promise i won't talk about trees ) and a long straight for high speed.

With the Bluray disc that allows for lot more storage, there is no need to sacraafice, PD can easily add some more tracks that may have been missing in GT4.

And of course, I completely disagree with Laguna Seca being removed. It is a world-class and world-renowned track! It's fame is right up there with the Nurburgring and de la Sarthe

WH-W-W-WHAAAAAAAT!!!!
That comment was basically as useless as this

Was that directed at me or the thread starter?

...and when you post videos just get rid of the main part of the URL. Get rid of everything except...

"snp1LJE4h9k" or whatever internet jargon it has.

Oh and Mosport in Canada, with the half tyres painted white at the corners of the track.I wonder if the loud speakers will be in, so the crowd can hear the commentators.

Like i said, if we get Laguna Seca, Indianapolis, Daytona etc, we need Sebring.

Sebring 12 hours in GT5 :P Would be awesome.

If the cars get sand all over the track after dropping a wheel in the sand, Laguna would be a lot tougher once grip is compromised...

When GT can recreate that, people will fully understand the challenge of racing in Laguna.

Laguna Seca is a top track, and if they wish to sacrifice tracks for new ones, they should start by removing some of those city tracks that won't accomodate 16 cars, esp where its so hard to overtake cleanly (online).

Also, the original GT tracks (Midfield, Deep Forest, Grand Valley etc) are still tops in my eyes and should all remain.

The only track PD has to remove is the horrible Hong Kong track from GT4. The rest can stay in my opinion. Perhaps add Zandvoort? Great track, hosted F1 races in the past.
