With 350+ runs using that car, you need to be at about 285 before firing the nitrous. With a more specialised gearing, lower front downforce, and so forth it should be more than possible to break 300mph non-nitrous, especially when you consider that you'll have the whole back straight as extra distance to accelerate in.I had with Minolta 334.35 mph, but with NOS. Is possible to make with Minolta 300 mph without NOS?
Scratch that, I've fixed my capture card! 👍On an unrelated note, yes I'm still here, yes I'm still tuning for high speedand (unfortunately) yes, I'm still currently without a video capture card.![]()
Sorry, no image.
Just make sure you read the first post to be clear of the rules, and perhaps the last few pages just to get up to date with the conversation and you wont go far wrong. I don't think it's realistic for us to expect those new to 300mph tuning to go back and read every single post.WOW, that's a lot of pages of posts! Sorry, but I can't be bothered looking through 300+ pages of posts! (Get it? 300? hehe)
Although both the world and non-nitrous records are currently held by a road car, it is generally much easier to achieve 300mph using a race car. Most road cars only reach a little over 300mph, so you have to be close to optimal to break the magic barrier. Some 4WD cars can be taken to quicker speeds, but these require a very unique and still not fully understood approach in order to maximize the potential.I have recently started aiming for a personal top speed record, but I've only used road cars so far, and I'm using KPH so I'll have to change that little setting for this clubby the way, how fast is 420 kph?

Non-nitrous speeds are followed by the letters NN, except in cases where the car cannot have nitrous fitted (such as the Chaparral 2D).Also, how do we know on the leader-board which records are nitrous and non-nitrous records?
420kph is approximately 261mph, so you still need to get a little more out of the car yet. Changing the display to mph (as you suggest) will make it much easier to 'ballpark' your runs.
It's worth placing emphasis on most hereMasterStormMost road cars only reach a little over 300mph

Let's not, because such things are not permitted in official speeds posted for the 300mph Club Leaderboard. Please read the rules outlined in Post #1.mcsqueegyLets just say you can get the wheelie to work to a certain point with adjusting weight.
Mentioning the Leaderboard... Maybe you could look there to find out. Click, if all the signature links aren't enough.mcsqueegyOh has anybosy got over 300miles with a chapparal 2D? I cant do better than 292.
Use different cars, to be blunt. The Option can't do it, and that assumption is backed up by tests of multiple members attempting it. And the Supra? It can do it, yeah, but you need both a lot of experience to do it and (I think) a 10km special.
