Just for the hell of it, popped in the 'ol GT4 and got a corrupt card

Had a spare with a ton of cash and cars, but no 300MPH settings. Just from memory and about 30 minutes of tuning, still managed to do 366.85 in the GT1

Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried the Amuse S2000 GT1? I thing thats what its called, there 3 S200 they offer, the most powerful one.

I believe Macca was referring to the HSR and only the HSR. I have yet to use it however I have noticed that on occasion, spring rate at least makes near as no difference.

Correct. My car just seems to be best with its original suspension settings. It's a frustrating car

Its lack of downforce and lack of power make it impossible to go fast in. I managed a bit over 250, but that's nothing worth trying for 300 in... and your speed in the GT-One is decent, for a half hour's tuning. Well done 👍

Latest Edit: Here's my Escudo, and here's my FTO. And this spot is now my record-breaking 300ZX. Two of MS's records at once... uh oh...

After about 5 minutes after posting that, I ran 371, but the front wheel came off when I came out of the tunnel.

Bad luck. With my R92CP that always happens . Oh by the way, DE, the leaderboard doesn't have MasterStorm's 300ZX speed on it. The records part does though. Juts thought i'd mention, you'll be changing it soon

I can think of one car which debuted onto the leaderboard at a quicker speed than the HSR-II: my Audi RS6 at 320.88mph.

Thanks again 👍. Looking through this thread (every single page), some of you guys said that a chassis refresh/increase rigidity reduced the top speed. Yet I used both, and I still broke the 300ZX record . And I tried the other '98 300ZX, hit about 294 with it . Now...I know my Supra hasn't hit its limit, one of the few nice cars (I swear the R92CP called me a pussy once) I'll jump in that lovely Toyota, again.... It's had 550 miles on it, so I need to be careful!

Edit: 306.69 with the Supra, and it's now overused . So I jumped on the Spec C, and hit 299.12 . Hopefully, a new project to keep me occupied, i'm very sick and have taken a while off school

Thanks for updating the leaderboard DE. I'm from south central Louisiana so I haven't been doing any playing lately as we just recently got a pretty hard hit from Hurricane Gustav. Still don't have power, cable, phones, or internet at my home yet so it'll be a while still. Macca I'll get my record back with the FTO once I get some juice going again!! Today is my first day back at work so I've been online trying to catch up with current events that have been happening.

We didn't have any water damage as the area we are in isn't really prone to flooding like new orleans area is. This storm was a LOT worse than Katrina for the central part of the state. Katrina was so devestating b/c the levees around new orleans failed and the city was under water for weeks. My house did get slightly damaged by some flying debris, but nothing major. Thanks for your concern.

'grats on breaking 300 with it though. I know I went from 280ish on one run to 295 or so on the next, changed the oil, and went 300.

I was sick for 8wks and to top it off I couldn't kiss anyone for almost a year for fear of passing it on to them (it stays in your system for that long!!). Totally screwed up my Yr8 school year back then, and put me nearly a year behind everyone else in the love game. So put simply.......your life sucks right now in both areas.

BTT, I've got a new target......a bit of an oldie but I'm retrying it to see how I go.

AWD cars are easier to make those big jumps with than RWD.

There's no middle ground, so if you've got a car up around 280mph without decent power shakes then it's probably capable. Rear-wheel-drive ones are a completely different story, though, they perform in a much more linear fashion.

I could make myself valid in 5 minutes DE with the Speed 12 or the 3KGT but I wouldn't be satisfied with an opening entry that's 2nd in class. Especially since Macca keeps raising the bar and making it harder!!

Had a go with the Toyota 7

With 1200hp you would think that it would be easy to get it to 300, but the damn 5 speed gear box and almost no low end power make it hard (for me at least) to get it there.


When I get some time later this week ill have a go at the Spec. C

I know the latter is just mean, but hey, 0.01mph is an improvement, right? I'd be laughing out loud, but it seems I can't even do that now... That'll be my last speeds for a while though 👍. I'll buy a new Spec C (finally lost power after 760+miles on it), and my Viper is stuck at 300.00mph consistently

Thanks for that brother. His name is Jack. And he was born a big'un...21 inches @9.6 lbs. He's more than 11lbs now. lol Eats like a horse too.

It definitely has been one heck of a trip, this thread. Hopefully if/when GT5 comes out, we can continue this thread...or even make a whole new one just for that. who knows?

It's good to hear from you. I'd like to contribute some improvements, but I lack a ps2 (the lens died) and I haven't purchased another PS3 yet. lol
