At the moment, no. Paddles are still working fine.

My wheel made some strange noise and vibrations at some point during my testing sessions on the weekend with pcars. But that is gone at the moment. Maybe it needs some breaking in phase.

Would you describe the force feedback and resistance of the wheel to be ultra smooth? Is there any indication of notchiness? Basically can you feel any kind of gears or mechanism when turning slowly, fast, progressively left and right? ETC.
I'm pretty curious about the feel itself because I have a t500 and the entire reason I bought one in 2011 was because I thought the notchiness in force feedback would not be present in the t500, considering the reviews about the t500 said it was much more comparable to the high end frex wheels and had hardly any mechanical feel, but the truth was that the t500 is just as notchy as most mid / entry level wheels, its just a bit quieter. Only when feedback is dialed down to low levels does it feel smooth at all.
So I'm about ready to pre order a t300 and finally be done with notchy / mechanical feeling force feedback wheels for good, that is if the comments I've red so far are true. I just need some people to comment on how it feels and describe the force feedback a bit...

When I mounted the wheel for the first time and rotated it while it was off, I was surprised that there was actually quite some resistance and even a bit of that weee weee noise that I hated so much from my G25. But when I finally used it in racing it becomes much lighter and super smooth. I can feel some very very light notchiness when the wheel is switched off. But that really is gone during driving. The wheel is absolutely smooth but strong at the same time for me. And it is also very quiet. I can't hear the wheel at all during driving, unless it starts its super fast spinning to one side.

The only thing I don't like is the fan comming on after about half an hour. I am very picky about fan noise, and luckily the fan is not super loud, but I can definitaly hear it and I would prefer it to be more subtle. I am really thinking about replacing it with a silent fan and/or maybe leaving the casing open. I read some threads about fan replacing in isrtv forum on TX wheels dying because of the fan replacement not being cool enough. I hope there will be people in the near future trying and testing fans on the T300RS.

Yeah I played GT6 after new update released and I find it strange when going turn the corner and I feel wheel shake every time I going turn corner.

I tried Toyota FT1 RM and went turn the corner...I feel funny vibrate like very little vibrate not heavy one. Did anyone have same?

Can't wait to buy T3PA and TH8A in November before project cars coming out.

I'm also stoked for project cars. In regards to your comment on the fbb update settings in gt6, I also noticed vibration and other odd effects and I've got some tips on how to reduce it and why you are feeling the wheel shake. Basically the first settings of the two is the max strength. I turned it up to 8 but I adjusted the second setting (sensitivity) to 3. This gave it a smooth feeling when turning casually into corners. It's the setting I use if I'm on a smooth circuit like monza or Suzuka. The wheel shake and rumble you feel I suspect is due to the elevation changes and bumpy road if the new Sierra track. Same goes with nordschleif. It's road forces kicking in on the wheel, and if you have the sensitivity (2nd setting) reduced under the level of strength (1st setting), the effects won't abruptly hit you like they used to, but rather it becomes reduced to what many users have described as vibrations and rumbles in their wheels ffb. My advise is if you are using a t500 or any other strong wheel, keep the sensitivity and strength at the same number and adjust it to your liking. The higher you set the strength and the Lower you set the sensitivity (more of a dampening and smoothing setting imo) the more you will feel the odd sensations you aren't used to especially when you are on road courses and bumpy tracks. I spent most of my day off yesterday experimenting with the ffb on t500 while driving on the new Sierra track.
To be honest I can't say the new ffb setting do much to make me like my t500 any better, so it's probly just a matter of time til I get a t300 base. In the meantime I'm still trying to get feedback from more users here on just how notch-less the t300 really feels. I ditched my g27 in 2011 thinking the t500 was the solution to no notchy feeling ffb, but my OCD for a smoother ffb wheel continues.

apart from getting the T500RS this January, I have pretty much the same story as you. I'd try to put my hands on a T300RS (or TX, since the belt+motor mechanism is the same) to check it myself, but I live in Brazil

Thanks mate! I'll test later tonight after the work and see how it going, heard about hot link so hopefully might be better or just Logitech?

I absolutely love T300 RS so far....ever more better if I add on for pedal and gear...more worth it. :D

I won the brand new T500RS pedals that were on eBay yesterday. I couldn't stand having static pedals, but everyone's different. I also ordered Basher's bushing brake mod kit. Just need the T300RS to get released in the US *glares @ Thrustmaster*

I did the same as you mate just need a game to try it all on now, roll on driveclub and project cars

Does anyone know if A) there are 'pots' in the T500RS pedals and B) would the pots in the regular T300RS pedals work as replacement pots for the T500RS pedals? Just would like to know if I'll have some spare parts on hand, or if I should just toss 'em.

Alright, good to know. 👍 Just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to run into any major problems mounting the wheel before I purchase it. All sounds promising so I think I'll go ahead and get the wheel then. Thanks guys for all your help and patience, much appreciated.

Was anyone able to confirm that the T500/T300 hard mounts to the steering wheel plate of the Playseat Revolution? I have the exact seat as you and wondering the same thing. Also, anyone know if there's an actual template anywhere that I could possibly just match up to the holes on the playseat steering wheel plate? As supposed to just dimensions you could find out there. I'm also hoping the pedal set on the T300 could hard mount onto the playseat revolution's pedal plate using existing holes?

Awesome man. I played with the ffb settings in gt6 some more yesterday after work and after an hour of all different combinations I've come to the same conclusion / observation that the aim racing review said about the t500. Is IS indeed super smooth ffb but only when you select max torque setting of 3 or less. The t500 is just such a heavy ffb wheel with so much power that when you crank up settings and it flexes it's strength, that's when you will feel mechanical notchiness.
Having set my t500 on 3 max torque, I was able to dial up the sensitivity back up to between 6 and 8 depending on what kind of car and track I'm on.
The big discovery I made yesterday is that it is much easier to feel the cars handling characteristics for steering when the sensitivity is higher. When set Lower you may not be able to catch the subtleties in the wheel as you begin to loose grip, under/over steer, and encounter major road variations, but your ffb sensation will have less notchiness as a result which some people enjoy. It's a trade off.

So the conclusion for me is that 3 is more than enough force for max torque in the ffb settings, and cranking up sensitivity (at least 6+) keeps the ffb effects prominent enough so I can still use the ffb as intended and feel when the car is slipping / gauge thehandling based on the sensations.
So while the sensitivity is nice to turn down (4 or less) and feel smoothness and avoid notchiness, most of you will notice that it creates a disconnect between driver and road, and all cars end up feeling like a mushy smooth luxury car with bad power steering lol.
Hope this tid bit is of use to anyone.

Bottom of page 1 of this pdf. As much as I want to get the drilling done too, I'm going to wait until the wheel arrives and measure it myself.

What i'm doing is adjusting the Sensitivity setting according to how agressive a car is (to me). So if I'm driving a nice 500 Abarth, I'll bring down. For the Lotus 98T I bring it up and so on and so forth... Loving the new FFB code and it's gotten me off the idea of upgrading to the T300RS for now. I'll only consider it if for some reason Project CARS is somehow worse on the T500RS on the PS4.

The fan on my wheel has started buzzing now when it comes on now....you can feel the vibrations its makeing on the wheel. When I first got the wheel I tried it for a while with high ffb...turned it down to something low and played like that for a week+...then the update came out and I started testing different levels...when I put them to high I feel this vibration when turning a corner....its the wheel trying to turn in the opposite direction but its making this vibration and a kind of buzzing noise with it..... its a horrid feeling that I'm sure wasn't there before......

Does any1 else gets this vibration?

Could have been the same, maybe?

lol funny you should mention that because i already think its going away....i can make the noise with the wheel just being on....all you do is turn it in one direction until it stops then turn it a bit more against the resistance....you feel a vibration and hear a buzzy noise....well thats it....starting to think its normal
