Question regarding the T300RS wheel. I was just wondering if this wheel will bolt onto my Playseat without having to drill new holes into the my Playseat's steering wheel platform. I know that I can use the provided clamps, but I would really prefer to hard mount it with the screws, like how I have done with my G27, for a more secure fit. If it isn't a direct fit, does the wheel at least come with a template with the bolt pattern for drilling new holes. Thanks in advance.

If you watch the video in the original PM, Darin specified that it's the same drill points as T500RS. If your Playseat is compatible with T500RS, it will be compatible with T300RS.

Alright, well, since I don't know if my Playseat is compatible with the T500RS, I'm still in the dark. I guess my question should have been, "Is the Playseat compatible with Thrustmaster wheels?" Anyone know?

I'm sure fellow owners will be keen to help. All you need to do is take a photo of your Playseat (assuming that you do not know the model name) and I'm sure someone here on GTP will be able to tell you whether it's compatible with T500RS or not.

Not sure of the model name, but it is the one where the center bar comes out from the seat and is the Gran Turismo Edition. Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Well found there are two versions. One is the Playseat Gran Turismo Revolution and another one is Playseat Gran Turismo Evo on Amazon. Perhaps someone can answer this as the product pages do not specifically specify wheel support.

Yea, I have the first one that you have linked. Thanks again for your help. much appreciated. Hopefully someone can answer this for me as I haven't been able to find any info on it myself. Thanks.

That's the newest version of the playseat and I believe released after the T500, so my bet is its predrilled, says compatiable with all major wheels on the market. If it isn't though you can download the template at Thrustmasters website if one isn't included in the box.

Alright, good to know. 👍 Just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to run into any major problems mounting the wheel before I purchase it. All sounds promising so I think I'll go ahead and get the wheel then. Thanks guys for all your help and patience, much appreciated.

@mrbasher ,
My plans are using the cpx with the T300rs and the csp v2 's . I assume this combo works also on the PS4 ?
Will the fanatec clubsport Handbrake also work if pluged in into the csp's (also PS3 + PS4) .
thanks in advance 👍

Planning on getting for my PS4 to play Project Cars:
- Playseat with Gearshift Holder
- TM T300RS
- TM TH8A Shifter
- TM T3PA Pedals

I have got at the moment a Logitech DFGT.

What is the main difference between the older TM T500rs and the TM T300rs?
And of course my DFGT?

Based on the review, it's said to be lighter (less dampening) on the the wheel comparing to T500rs and smoother as well. T500RS have static shifter paddles, have better foot pedals (invertible) as well but cost more as well.

Personally, I would go with getting the Fanatec Club Sports Elite (CSE) pedals and the CPX adaptor if your budget permits instead of T3PA pedals. But since your in Europe, Fanatec pedals shouldn't be as expensive.

I will have a look into the Fanatec pedals but i can't find them on the website http://www.fanatec.com/eu-en/pedals
Great idea the Fanatec pedals. I want a lot better pedals than the standard T300rs pedals not only an extra clutch pedal.

What do you think of the TM TH8A Shifter?

And what would be your best PS4 setup when you look at wheel, pedal, shifter?

Sorry, the pedals are called CSR ELITE PEDALS EU. Just bare in mind the CPX adaptor is a bit expensive as well.

As for the TH8A Shifter, don't know yet as I'm waiting for mine to come from Amazon which I order only a week later than pre-order was accepted still didn't make it to their first batch of shipments. They are as hot as iPhones . But if it's exactly like TH8RS, then they should be great and reliable. And there are threads that might be of interest to you for asking other owners: TH8A Shifter and T3PA Pedals. (Personally I would also buy the black shifter plates as well)

Just before you go all out on your shopping spree. Not sure if you are aware that Fanatec's new wheels should be PS4 compatible as well but you'll be looking at double the budget of what you have in mind.

I think a lot of people like yourself who owns DFGT/G27/G25 or Fanatec wheels will be buying the gear now for Project Cars/Drive Club for PS4. If I were you, I'll be ordering the gear now on Amazon. T300RS is not even available on Amazon yet. I will let you and other people following this thread know Amazon are accepting pre-orders for T300RS. ;)

When is the T300RS supposed to be available in the US? A GTP news article said Oct. 7th, but then Darin at ISR mentioned later this (Sept.) month

I saw one at a shop in Australia just last week. For the very first time, US seems to be getting their hardware launches much later than the rest of the world. What did you guys do to upset the French?

I think Amazon will start accepting pre-orders for it some time this week just like what happened with TH8A which started pre-orders half a month before officially available.

CHECK BACK SOON AND WILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN PRE-ORDERS STARTS IN THE US.

Owners of new T300 RS. I've just received this wheel, unfortunately the seals on the box has been cut, so I hope its not the second-hand goods.

Anyway, I have noticed left paddle has a little bit different click sound (slightly different frequency) than the right one. Also left paddle clicks slightly "earlier" (in higher paddle position) than right one.

Could you please anyone test is and let me know? I know its no big deal, and I wont notice during game, but I would like to have 100% perfect Wheel for its money :)

Thanks.

The seals were cut on mine and resealed with new ones, i'd imagine it's to change the plug depending where the person buys it from the manufacturer.

My paddles don't make much of a different sound when clicked, there maybe a slightly diff click sound but it's nothing, if they feel the same without listening to the sound and they work ok when using then I wouldn't worry about it.

Thank you. And please what about the clicking possition? I would say left paddle clicks almost immediately when pressed, but right one about in 1 mm lower possition than left.

Thank you in advance.

No problem, I will check this for you but i'm at work at the moment, will be home in around 5hrs !

Hey guys! I haven't post here for long time!
I bought T300 RS yesterday and love it so far!
Only thing I'm bit curious about people who own wheels.

I am deaf by the way and wear hearing aids so when I turn the wheel fast (when car is lose the control) it's bit noise....like quick grind...is that normal?

I saw CPX adapter site make me wonder if it's work with Gran Turismo 6 and other PS4 games? I'm apologies if I didn't read previous page just double check before I buy fanatec or T3PA.

Thanks!

Hi,

I am a new T300 owner too and it's the same with my paddles, just the other way round. My right paddle shifts earlier, sometimes even before the click. I also noticed a little clicking sound when I turn the wheel almost 180° to either side (even when off). At first I thought it came from the wheel base, but when I take the wheel off and shake it or turn it upside down I can hear the click. So it comes from the wheel itself. And to be more specific, it comes from the right paddle. When I click and hold the right paddle in shifted position and then turn or shake the wheel, the clicking sound is gone.

But this clicking sound wasn't there on the first day. I have the wheel since this weekend but that clicking appeared after two days.

Anyway, the paddle still works and clicks like normal.

I would say CPX adapter will work in every game which supports T300 RS. Because of CPX the Wheel base "thinks" that T3PA pedals are connected.

thanks for info. do you think its worth swap for the new unit?

At the moment, no. Paddles are still working fine.

My wheel made some strange noise and vibrations at some point during my testing sessions on the weekend with pcars. But that is gone at the moment. Maybe it needs some breaking in phase.

I've got the same with the shifters but as just opened the box as just sat there waiting for driveclub, don't think anything to worry about and I'm sure there is a warranty with the wheel anyway.
