Do you mean when self calibrating or? The TX does slam quite hard against the stops.

No but thanks for that small detail, sounds like it spins fast.

what i meant was like have you ever had a g25 on pc, i remember when you into the logitech software properties page you could press the buttons on the g25, each button would make the wheel do something, these somethings had names like tire blow out or rumble or wobble, one was even called ufo lol. some of the test would really stress the wheel out i thought there was something like that for thrustmaster or maybe im mixing it up with something else.

i just want to know if the counterspin speed is as quick as the t500

How fast does the wheelspin

what the strength like, you know how the t500rs violently counter spins, it the t300rs like that too? maybe a video of it when connected via pc in the properties section where you can test all those pre set forcefeed back checks if you have time.

Unfortunately last night I flew away interstate for 3 weeks! But when I get back I will for sure make more vids. I did crank the ffb right up for grid and it was like trying to dry steer a car with no power steering. I had the f1 wheel on and I spun out and nearly broke a finger if I didn't take my hands off. Also not sure if it's me but when driving the Mazda mx5 I found it very hard to catch when the back end slipped.

Okay if so Thrustmaster is lying with their marketing if that is correct :)

It appears like the TX is smoother. Ultra smooth beat Super smooth right.
However the T300RS is ultra responsive and the TX is just super responsive lol

If the T300RS is like the TX I would say it should be a lot smoother then the T500RS.

I don't know how one would be more responsive than the other as they use the same methods and mechanisms to deliver the position information , the only real difference is the brushless motor.

And yes if thrustmaster has said it's a new belt system they have lied, they could say improved but it's not new.

I believe they say revised. But you say it´s the same?

I was not serious about super vs Ultra just having fun with the marketing. Would surprise me if the T300RS was much different to the TX. No internal resistance mean more responsive. However the T500RS have a bit more torque that also need to take into consideration.

wprpalmeida I don´t think you will be disappointed. I always wished the gravel feel of the T500RS would be gone and it´s with the TX. However you could get rid of a lot of that feel on the T500RS by going for larger rims. At first it almost felt like a freewheel putting my 365 mm on my TX.

I suppose one small pro for the T300RS is that you can get full 900 degrees. The soft stops mean my TX is only an 860 degree wheel. 1080 is just way overkill never used it on the T500RS. I hardly ever use 900 degrees either so it´s not a biggie for me.

The only difference I noticed was there are set screws on the main gear on the steering shaft to eliminate slop and wear/tear on that gear. (my t500 had a problem with slop when changing direction because the main gear doesn't fit the shaft properly)

Once I get my TX back I think I will be doing some serious testing

actually the belt system is the same, i had a look in my TX wheel when it arrived (it was DOA) and it has the same type of belt system as my t500

Same type of belt, or exact same pulleys and belts, physical location, and ratios?

The T300 RS pedals will do an Ok job for PS4 but forget about using these pedals if your going to be using them for PC racing sims. They have no clutch and the unrealistic soft feel is disgusting and caused me many accidents from over and under braking. I did eventually get to the stage where i accepted them for what they are until my Fanatec Clubsport v2 pedals arrived and automatically shaved 3 to 4 seconds off my laptimes and improved my consistency and this was without even adjusting the Clubsport pedals.

3 to 4 seconds just because different pedals? ... that is driving without ABS aid I guess. I did some online racing without ABS in GT5 but as you can't get same feel/feedback as from real car, I don't really want/need better pedals that makes driving without ABS easier. Same thing with clutch, you don't get same feeling as in real car, therefore I'm highly interested in T300RS, ok pedals and better wheel than G27. Looking forward to see more videos about the wheel (noise, strenght, etc.).

From what i saw the whole lot, belts pulleys and phisical location, probably the same ratios as well but I'm Not 100% sure on that just yet

Just to follow up on this....

In the press release, August 15th was the release date. I've checked all the suggested retailers (Amazon.co.uk, Argos, etc, etc) on the Thrustmaster UK site. I can't find any search results for it on any site.

I did find it on Amazon.fr (listed as being available on 1st of Sept) and Amazon.it (listed as being available on 31st of October). It would be highly unusually that something isn't available for pre-order on Amazon.co.uk if it's released is upcoming (15th of August is this Friday). I did find it on some Australian sites alright (but not much good to me really!).

I emailed Thrustmaster UK to find out what was going on. Basically, the release is not August 15th. I was told that they were finishing the last logistic procedures to have it officially released. They can't provide an exact release date, but they are aiming to have it available from the "Shop" section of the site by the end of August.

Actually the 15th probably is the official release but for some reason Thrustmaster likes to get ahead of itself and not have product available in almost every country at launch. They did the same with the T3PA pedals which were supposed to be released at the end of June if I recall and it was a few weeks later before you could even get them and even then, it was hard to get them outside of France. Its only been in the last two weeks that major US retailers have been stocking them so it really wouldn't surprise me if you don't see the T300RS for sale online for at least a month or more after Aug. 15th, especially in the US. Its really irritating.

@HatlessChimp - does the T300 have a 3.5mm jack for headsets? - EDIT - never mind the guys from inside sim racing said it does not. Oh well.

And thanks for the pedal info.. I have a DFGT right now and did basic mods to increase resistance.. looks like I will be doing that on these as well as I will be on PS4 only and not likely to upgrade the pedal set for awhile.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't realise that at all. I've never been waiting on a Thrustmaster launch before, so I was blissfully unaware that it wouldn't be available on the given date. Sounds like I have a more waiting to do. It's not that surprising though as I was getting very suspicious with the complete lack of info so close to apparently release date.

Its really dissapointing to say the least. I needed a decent second set of pedals for my Thrustmaster TX wheel, so I patiently waited on the T3PA's to be released in June, after they were unavailable even at the end of July here in the US, I finally said to Hell with it and bought a set of Fanatec CSR Elites. I would like to replace my T500RS with the T300RS and the new TH8A shifter both of which are supposed to be "available" this month, but I'm already prepared to have to wait until September-October most likely to get either of these products in the US.

Does anyone know if the T500RS ClubSport Pedal adapter works with the T300?

if someone has a set of CSPs an adapter and a T300 could you give this a try on a console totle and see if it works? Thanks!

Its a considerably better wheel than the DFGT. Really no comparison honestly.
it seems that some guys have it already, do you?
have you tried it with PS3/GT6?
GT6 supports t500 so should work well with t300, right?

I do not have a T300. It will be available in most countries around Sept. I do have a T500 and a TX, the T300 is essentially the same wheel as the TX and it superior to the T500. The T300 has a PS3 and PS4 mode switch so any game that was supported on the PS3 for the T500 will be supported with the T300 using the PS3 mode.

I would also really like to know this. It's looking like the T300rs will be the next wheel that I get, but those stock pedals will have to go.

I knew the first time I placed my feet on my Clubsport V2 pedals that I could use the Thrustmaster pedals ever again. If you can use an adaptor, buy it at the earliest opportunity.

Those Clubsport V2's are the pedals that I've my eye on, fingers crossed there'll be an adapter made for them.
