Time Trial #57 ...and now for something different

I found it more consistent and better for me to brake just before left side kerbing and also go into 2nd while going into corner. Try and take as much of inside kerb without cutting. Accelerate out quite early, you can do it quite well with little to no oversteer on exit if you get it just right and also with good minimum and exit speed. I think doodlemonoply also does it this way IIRC so you might want to check it out. I tried it BanditKarter's way on his fastest lap but found it hard to execute consistently and as good as other way I described.

I only saw the fastest times and really at the moment, no one has ever done any cheat regarding cars provided. If there was, we would have seen it in GT Academy TTs.

If driving line was forced as ideal line, I think it will be quite a bit slower than current top times.
it really amazes me how polite most people on this forum are:D
I can only wish one day I'll learn to be like that:D

I can't recall ever having run around the Grand Valley in reverse. So it was definitely very different for me. I love the car, with the tires. Very tricky to drive fast, but still lots of fun with the wheel spin. Ran a 2:05 after 3 laps today. Hopefully drop that time to a low 2:03 or 2:02 later this week. Does anyone have any suggestions for this?

Improved my time a bit last night to 43.791 for 237th..
Can I ask what rpm you guys are shifting at?

I have to change gear like 4 times :nervous: but i took a little sneak peak on your replay, and if I'm not mistaken, you use the handbrake in the first corner? which button have you assigned it to? I've been struggling so much in that corner, trying to hit the handbrake button on my wheel and what not.

I've assigned it to the button on the top right of the steering wheel so that I can press it with my thumb as I go round the corner, it takes a bit of practice to get used to using it though :) You shouldn't need to change into 1st gear :P

I'm shifting at about 7500rpm 👍

Hello drivers!
Yesterday I did about 35 laps in kart space without improve my time.
Can someone give me an advice where I'm wrong?

Hmm... I would need to see what your racing line looks like but here's what I can come up with.

First thing that I noticed was your speed in turn 3. If you are going 26 mph there then you should be exiting the turn to wide. Try aiming for about 22 mph so you can easily hug the inside kerbing on the way out.

Again, I really can't see where you can improve unless I see what your line looks like.

Hey everyone!! I tried the TT this morning and managed so far a 2.03.728. I tried a brake setting of 1/7 and it definitely helped! I am finding the long left hand tunnel corner before the bridge really difficult. As a matter of fact almost all of the corners seem difficult lol. May I borrow some advice?

So is anyone going to take Bandit down? Doodle, you making a run? I'm done, it is what it is, I figure Bandit's time is about untouchable. Being able to stick all three sectors on the same lap is truly an accomplishment.

So anybody have any guesses on the identity of Goldjunkie? I do.

No it's not photoshopped or something. Don't ask me what happened. I just saved a replay of my fastest lap and that laptime showed up as my previous saved replay fastest lap

Oh btw ended up with a 2:01:213. Considering the time i spend on this one i can't complain.

Good luck everybody with the remaining hours till the deadline

I attempted to run some laps because I was bored earlier. I guess I lost the magic I had from last week. No doubt about it that Bandit's lap was properly quick. I think prasinar took a shot at him earlier today but ended up .03 behind.

Maybe it's the same guy who was eppur_si_muove who won the last TT at Trial Mountain by a hair and Pegasus, who edged out Bandit at Deep Forest. All 3 accounts had no friends, and had the beginner suit and helmet on.

Edit: Congrats on your first TT win Bandit!! :D

Not my favourite TT's, but I did get round to putting in a bit of time over the past few nights.

The Viper wasn't too bad once you found the right brake balance and brake points, and I quite enjoyed it once I got the feel (mid 50's on that one). The Cappucino was tedious and frustrating beyond belief, primarily the number of red laps... I was going to have a good run in it last night, but after getting a 43.1 (for c.35th) on my 7th lap I couldn't be bothered to run any more.

I missed the tuning element.

Congrats on getting #1 at Kartspace, John
