Yay! That means I am most probably in the top 50 :P in the FGT TT and god (I mean sphynx :D) knows how many have SHs in the Motegi TT ahead of me :) Best rankings so far :)

shame people are cheating, im going to give the FGT Monaco one a last go tonight using one of the tunes posted here, currently im about 1200th, with a 1:14.6 which i think is a pretty good time considering im using my own tune and a ps3 stick controller atm

i should probably be researching oulton park instead of doing this, since im racing there for real this weekend, lol

Whoops, getting off topic here.

Gigiro79, ty for your clarification. I am not accusing the whole GTD team, however when 4-5 of the seemingly top TTers are found to be using suspicious means to get better times, unfortunately it reflects badly on the team as a whole. I feel bad fopr the ones who honestly try hard to get their results. And they should be commended for their strength to resist.

Also, am I mistaken that Viper was removed from lists of TT, and he is now on them again?

Nowayback I do not know, I think Viper has never been removed from the charts!
He stated that on our forum had deliberately used a car with tires hidden to point out how easy it was to PD cheating in these time trials.

@ Stotty, you say: "Seems Screp Knew about the issue some time ago"

So if I understand correctly, Screep stated that the GTD has always cheated?
This would surprise me even more!

____________________________________________________________

The GTD team has 97 members, some faster than others .... people who take part in the TT for fun and to have fun with friends, people who maybe never entered in the top 250 and is committed to playing clean it.
To this I would hate if they were all accused of cheating!

i am in gtplanet since genuary 2010 and in gtdrivers since april 2012 (iam italian) iam sure that the guys of gtdrivers that you cite are very good drivers and i hope honest because with default car TT they are frequently in the top 20 or 10 ..someone of them maybe has cheat and i dont know why.. but i hope they clarify here or in gtdrivers forum cause they gived a bad name of gtdrivers... and gtdrivers forum doesnt deserve this!

ciao gigiro79! :) ....Stotty tonight im going to catch you ;)

I'm not saying that, nor do I think Screp thought that either - Hacking is a relatively recent thing, and I know most of the GTD drivers involved were very quick well before hacking even started, so I doubt this is a long-term thing.

But clearly Screp knew very early in the FGT TT that some GTD members were using a hacked car... his post on this forum, letting everyone know he was resigning form GTD and the reason for it, was made 12 days ago!

Yes, fully understand and agree... the actions of a few shouldn't destroy the reputation of the many.

However, the longer-term reputation of GTD will be determined by how the mods/admins on GTD decide to deal with those members who have cheated.

If they take quick and decisive action the sites reputation will return quickly.

If they don't act, GTD will have this hanging over them for some time to come.

Definitely not setup, driving is where he is making up time.

hmm dont get me wrong i respect imortal a lot hope he wins german gta this year and get what he deserves i e full time drive

but 1 second covered like 50 cars in madrid can't all be driving its too big a gap

Stotty Sorry, I misunderstood what you wrote.
In fact, it seemed strange that Screep he could say such a thing
I have big problems to understand / communicate in English :)

Ciao Flimone 👍

Managed to improve by a few tenths again last night with yet more adjustments to what WAS doodles tune but now is almost completely changed to suit my needs.....

Improved to a 1:33.503 #334 now, and i may be able to better that slightly.

There is still time if anybody would like to give it a try.

Don't worry about it, Gigiro... I understand English is not your language and we appreciate that you make such an effort to post here.

My Italian is more limited than your English, and only covers ordering food and wine - both of which Italy excels at :D

No big surprise there, tbh if the cheaters want to stop Immortal being on top, there's nothing he can really do about it, unless they're all really bad drivers.

That's what I wanted to ask. Can you guys that you have been watching the replays the last days judge/guess the times the cheaters would make if they had a proper car?
Also I've just done a 32.8 high on motegi, awesome setup doodle

Given there's a way of telling if downforce levels are outside the car's parameters, I'd be interested to know if those drivers faster than Ramon at Motegi (who's specs show they are using 'comfort softs') are using some sort of hack.

At this stage I wouldn't accuse them, but someone able to go 0.4 faster than Ramon (a known super fast driver and highly skilled tuner) in a TT with very close gaps between times is definitely suspicious.

Difficult to say - they are obviously still bound by the power point limit.

For me its suspicious that not one of the players ahead of Eclipsi, using cs tires has a vid replay.

Isn't that because they where previously outside the top ten until PD deleted a bunch of cheat times?

Oh yeah, I'm still giving it a go. And I give credit where credit is due.

I just started using Nowcontrol's adjustments of Doodles excellent tune, looking for that edge as we all do.
After 1/2 dozen laps I began thinking that Nowcontrol's changes weren't helping me as I was usually around the same area with my ghost as I was with Doodles unadulterated (by Nowcontrol) tune.

But, I have now finished in front of my ghost, nearly 2.5 tenths better than it.

Now on 1:33.352 and @ pos# 284, definitely my best ever.

So thanks very much Nowcontrol and Doodles for that help.

edit...The tune I am talking about is not the one pictured above but his earlier one in his post #845.

I have attempted both this TT and Madrid. This TT is a lot harder to go faster. Also I think some of top drivers are not attempting it probably due to the cheating. IMMORTALPILOT has improved his time a lot. This kind of track and car, the more you attack, the faster you become.

Cheers for the tune doodle, managed to get into the 32s now. On a 1'32.738 - i added the sports chip and exhaust upgrades too, which added a bit more torque.

Hopefully can manage a 32.6 on my final run.

Edit

Down to a 1'32.601 now, :)

That's an interesting point, I was chasing Ramons ghost, and have been studying his replay to see where to improve my lap, and its hard to see where someone could make up such a large margin over his time.
Given what's been happening over this and the recent tt's I wouldn't be surprised if there was another way some are able to manipulate the power or torque similarly to the tires and downforce. Or maybe there is a way to further reduce the cars weight after the 3 weight stages? Then make it up to correct pp with ballast but at the rear of the car for better handling? Or maybe even use a different suspension?

Slowly slipping down the board now, down to 93rd as I probably can't run again because of exams. Which is a shame as I had the potential for a 32.4 with GoingInHot's tune, so with Doodle's I might have been able to improve further. :(

EDIT: Scratch that, found some time to this afternoon. 👍

ok i see your point mate but id still love to see immortals set up just to see how he gets such good traction
see i found madrid much harder:dunce: than monaco but it was a totally new track too me where as monaco is in all the f1 games ive been playing since 1745:)

anyways i am happy with my 1.10.684 so next round must be lemans 💡

Sounds like an entrapment , but every person has the right to keep their tune for themselves, regardless if it was suspicious or not. Take ImmortalPilot, I don't think he will ever share his TT tune here in GTP threads.

I would never based anything from past credentials in video game, many people do not know Sphinx, take me for example. No offense there, but I treat everyone the same.
Yeah, but nobody is going to jail here.

Only shaved off ~.020 with Doodle's tune, although if I had more time I could get a 32.2 which is a slight improvement on Going in Hot's. Although I actually found that Going in hot's tune was about a tenth faster in sector 1 and maybe a tad in the next corner but from that point on the superior turn in of Doodle's gained more than it lost, especially in the last two hairpins. :indiff:

I tried his setup and know for sure it is his driving that is making the difference. Monaco, it is more low speed and walls are close so I find it harder to be as consistent.

Well done on that time 👍.
