Had test the ”normal” F1. And its exactly the same as the color version.
Did improve my time thou.

Interesting trivia: back in week 6 of TT we also had Merc F1 at Suzuka, only that time it was the tuned combo. The other combo was Honda S800. This time the other combo is Toyota S800. Coincidence?

Some laptime comparisons:
Real life 2017 Suzuka pole: 1.27.319 (?? tyres but let's assume RS equivalent)
Week 6 tuned TT WR: 1.28.620 (RM tyres)
Current untuned TT WR: 1.28.931 (RS tyres)

Usually mediums are around 1 sec slower than softs, so the week 6 times are quite close to the real life one (although still not faster). Keep in mind also that in real life they have limited use of DRS, the cars don't run with empty fuel tank and tyres also degrade over the lap, unlike in game when fuel/tyres are disabled. Which makes Lewis' lap all the more impressive

Tuning seems to improve times by ~1 second. Not that much in the grand scheme of things. I haven't driven the TT yet but I bet the main time loss are coming out of the hairpin and final chicane compared to the tuned version. This car struggles a lot in low speed traction, and riding over the kerbs makes it very nervous as well.

1:24.727 using a bit of @xtrax @COLOMBIAMIGUE7 and a bit of my tune, and this is good for Auto users because I can not use manual transmission.

Just had a go at the F1 TT, I didn’t realize it was on Soft Tires, it’s pretty fun. I still don’t get why we can’t use the gas and brake at the same time in this car though? I think I can maybe get into the 30’s, I’m gonna try a few more laps. :)

I'm guessing that the gas and brakes can't be used together because its a hybrid and the regenerative braking.

1:24.378 for 50th, and that is the best I can do using Auto :).

Dear @fordlaser please don't give up as I lapped 1:23.964/28th with DS4/AT.
FYI I have driven under 1:24 with 2 setup; @xtrax & @Pigems.
The proper driving line for the slaloms in the middle and final part of the circuit are the key for faster time.
Thank you very much to the gang for quality and quantity of setup shared here.
Have always fun.
Ciao
