Almost 200 miles today. ONE valid lap. :boggled: It was a 2 second pickup from my previous attempt last week, but I don't know where I'll find 5+ seconds to achieve gold.

Haven't posted here since mid October some 70+ pages ago. Haven't had the time to dedicate to the TTs so a bit late to the party with the S2000 at GV. A mixed bag for me that one. I struggled to get into the high 2.15s consistently. Was going to settle for just beating gold but then I saw @Pesselles in the 2.14s and figured I'd try to get in the 2.14s too and out of nowhere I got it. I can't say that I can easily replicate that time or that I could get even better so I think that will be it for me for that one.

If I have some time next weekend, I'll give LM TT a go with the Lambo.

God I'm so glad I didn't start that one, it would spoil all the fun for me 🤣🤣

You did really well , I drove for more than 3 hours yesterday and I'm 0.3 (6'22.056) from gold! With a lap invalidated at the last turn 6'21.5 :boggled::crazy::banghead:.

I know the Nring quite well but not this car, it has incredible aerodynamic downforce and cornering is impressive! When I watch the replay i realize that I'm braking too much and as a result I really have to readjust the entire trajectory with this car.

I don't know if i'll have time to play again by Thursday morning....too frustrated :grumpy:

yeah i knew this from the start, i think i would give me hell to gold it, if i ever could,
like you i know the ring quite well, and well enough to earn a Honda certificate ( which i never got )
but the high downforce combination is a road to disaster on pad if you ask me, it's fully the car that i dispice, if it was another track i would have skipped it too just like i did with GV last time, maby different Redbull X.... but the same cow

But kudo's for trying! you got this!, you are always fast so i have no doubt you will succeed mate!

I will end up waking up earlier in the morning to find time 😅 In any case thank you for the compliment and the motivation mate ;)

There’s always more in the kitty…😼 Meow meow meow baby!
Purr-faction,

Nice score with the G70, 1.40% is not to shabby at all!

I ran some laps this morning but could not get the last sector right, splits to die for before Banky but every attempt failed , no meow meow for me 🤣🤣
Maby ill try one more time.... it's getting rather frustrating 🤣🤣

Hi folks!

Fresh out of a different kind of simulator I checked in today to try and give the S2000 one last crack; ABS weak was definitely the difference and what a lovely thing this is when it all falls together, however driving it felt like a knife edge most of the time and the ridiculous track limits sucked a lot of the fun out of it too. Still. Few mistakes here especially in the sharp right tunnel turn but I like the idea of myself and @Gomario JSP ’s times looking identical besides transposing the last two digits!

Quick go at Lago Maggiore and yeah, this one is a lot of fun right from the word go! I love this track and I think last time we were here I got my highest ever TT placing… The Huracan is great here with its super agile nose in high speed turns and amazing stability over curbs. It might lose its charm after a few more goes but yeah nice to get in and drive the nuts off a car for once. Plus it sounds the nuts too!

Improvements have been made again! I almost gave up after driving around for 2 hours and not making progress, but then I said, let's do another lap before bed:

I should be happy, and I would be happy, if not for the fact that the lap before this I did a .885 first sector, which was my best so far, but bottled the downhill hairpin completely, and the final lap time was .350 I think. Optimal for those two laps was .167, which would put me in P15, but hey... Maybe I give this another session and try to go for the .1s :D

Improved my time with the S2K, back into the top 100, although I feel there is a sub 2:13 in there somewhere. This car is just ridiculous amounts of fun to drive which makes it very easy to keep coming back to it.

Happy to see I'm still in gold with the Redbull, I'd really rather not have to go back and try to improve that time.
I need a few tenths to get back in there myself. I was close this evening but couldn't connect the dots. The wife is out two nights this week so I might just have the time to grind on it.

Nice time! And I totally agree. It's a very pleasant time pushing on the little Honda. One of the best (imo) we've had in a few!

I must be doing something right to get praise from you.

@Lomic time to let that cow back out of the barn 🐮

On another note, I really like the S2000 as expected, but only got a very short time to try it on Sunday morning before having to go out.

First 2 laps... hated it, 3rd lap thought I was getting it and then invalidated at the last chicane, so it was time to learn how to handle the car sideways again 😝

After this the fun began, I could definitely improve and would love to but just got to this TT too late 😢

Also the reason I had a short run was to go pick up some stuff for the wife, who has just taken over the business she has worked at for 6 years ❤️ ....

and to celebrate this, I naturally got a gift....

for myself too 😝....

Now, which wheel to go with...

The T-GT-II or the T598 DD 🤔

What the h*ll
normally i have kind of an idea where to gain and find some time but i have absoklutely NO clue how you can be over hald a second quicker ..... i tried for 30 minutes this morning ( no GT-O-Sihundred alarm for a whil.... need sleep )
But i could not get it to work, fastest split before Banky at a .690 resulting in a 1:33.821 split before stuffing up the last corner, i think it's one of the most difficult corners of the whole game for me ......... apparently :lol:

What's your split before Banky-Booyy?

Mega fast mate!

Seems she does not want to go outside...

10 more laps with the Genesis (it begins to be difficult to find a Genesis ghost in the top 100...)

TT-LM-Gr4-10laps-6-Genesis.jpg

+0.015s to previous best

Optimal -0.068 from previous optimal. Optimal from all best sectors registered until now is 2:06.545

Medium time over 10 laps exactly the same as last 10 laps stint 🤣

Lap 7 was maybe an improvement but went out on the last turn.

If only I could string all best sectors together...

55 laps until now.

I'll try to go back today, in order to keep it fresh, previous attempt was saturday.

Mega fast mate!
Thanks, I like this TT as you can see :D

As for the sector times, I managed to somehow improve my S1 time to, lets say, .950 average, I can do low .900s, I did a .885, .889 several times but that really only depends on the tricky right hander that leads to the straight, it's either too slow and the WR ghost walks away, or it's nice and early throttle and then invalidate the lap going wide. So it's literally the perfect timing on throttle input that makes the difference here. As for the S2, I believe ~.520-530 is the time, I did several high .4s in S2, so the split at the end of sector 2 is usually in the low .500s, sometimes high .400s.

And then we have the (for me) lap destructive hairpin, I usually nail it perfectly when my S2 split is average, but then cannot make up the lost time, or I go mega carefull if I have the high .400 S2 split and lose a bit of momentum, so it's usually 28.000 on a good lap, sometimes 27.9xx but not more than that is possible.

S4 is the most fun for me, double right hander is tricky, not the first part, but the second corner, you must enter it very very wide to create the angle for acceleration, but not too wide because you lose the rear if you clip the outside edge, then it's really the full throttle with a heavy cut of the inside curb, then heavy cut of the sausage (left wheel on the left side of the sausage), and the same goes for the last corner, like I said, early brake, create the angle, heavy cut and very early throttle in 4th to the line.

I didn't record my lap unfortunately, but if I push myself to do another session and improve, I'll upload the replay :)
