Of those that have done one there's 5486 A+ drivers, and 16 346 A rated drivers. My guess is if you like the game enough to get an A+ rating in sport mode, then you've probably done at least one time trial by now for some easy credits, so I don't think there's that many more A+ drivers worldwide. Some of them probably don't even play anymore. Shows how small sport mode really is.
There are also many players with multiple accounts, so the numbers will include duplicates. I made a second account to farm credits in Circuit Experience since it was the fastest way for me to earn millions, and I do the TT challenges in both for quick credits.

Fast car usually means a hard TT, but we will see.

3 people lost their gold streak in the last time trial. They just didn't set a time. Probably quit the game or real life got in the way, but that's a big streak to lose. 243 all gold streaks remain.

There were 22084 new participants in the last time trial which seemed like a lot at this point, so I thought maybe the game was growing. From what I can see they're estimating 5-6 million copies sold, but less than 10% of those have done a single TT (454 429 to be exact). I guess a lot of people just haven't even dabbled into time trials so far, or don't play the game anymore, but don't think you can say the game is growing even though more people are trying time trials now.

How do you track unbroken gold streaks? If you don't mind me asking.

Yes i get the function of the DRS but how much does it going to effect the laptimes?, so i'm very curious to try it with and without :)

:lol:we will see, i expect a picture if it works
Hard to quantify without trying. But, I will say on the race A with the McLaren P1 GTR it helped quite a bit. I did a handful of laps and races before realizing I could (and should've been) activating it. Once I did, my times came down. I don't have those numbers, but if it was .500"/lap I wouldn't be surprised.

Get the results from all the time trials with a unique ID tied to the persons PSN and then check who has a time within 3% of the top time for all the time trials.

Tried the previous TT yesterday, made it with an ok lap.

I also tried the new one today, the lap was a bit messy so there's more to it if necessary.

Got gold by a 10th with the Cayman, man what a battle that was.

This ID4 is NOT what I was expecting, I quite like it though I am not sure how to drive it. Not having any gears is weird, I sort of hit the brakes and expect rotation due to downshifting but ...........nope. I cannot work out if i should be carrying more mid corner speed or just stop as fast as i can, get her pointed and absolutely LAUNCH out?

Sitting on high 58 after just 5 laps so i should be able to get gold here though I expect one may need a 56.

So DRS and the battery, is this all AUTO or do I need to map buttons?

You have to map DRS if you haven’t already. “Nitrous/Overtake” in the settings.

Yes indeed, every lap every corner is faster than the lap before, I did some laps on my laptop at 720P 🤣 But managed 1:57'532 on the first session, bit made a few mistakes, my problem lies in the acceleration, a fractioneel to soon on throttle and you have massive power understeer. So bad that my wide next to me was laughing because my body moved along with the car 🤣
But I was kind of consistent the first stint,

For us mortals who only got gold on the Subaru WRX TT this seems like silver is obtainable like the last one, gold very far away though.
Nah I reakon gold is doable here for B rated players. For starters, there's no advantage using a manual as there are no gears. It's very clinical, hit your marks, rotate and fire it off, no throttle modulation needed either, just hammer it. Will need a 56 to be safe I think.

Glad to hear DRS makes a difference as i have not used it yet so hoping that is about a second on the table for me.

I like this combo; this car is fun. Had to remap DRS to the circle button for easier access. Was thinking of using like a binder clip to just have it depressed all the time, but didn't.

Best time thus far is a 1:56.5. The aliens are going to have fun with this one.

Alien's go fast haha this morning already kicked to silver 🤣 then I watched the top replay, they don't even brake on thr turn after the fast S'es 🤣 So there should be some time to win 🤣

I'm B rated and have gold in all bar Nurb with NSX (because reasons). I very rarely race online so my rating hasn't gone up much.

Final finishing position on the Cayman was 190th 😎

Haven't had chance to try this new one - might not be until Sunday now.

It looks like generally DR correlates very well to finishing position, although there are obviously outliers (the best time trial player has never done a daily race, at least not on that account).

If you're golding these on the regular you have the pace to be A rated basically.

Some numbers for those interested:
DRNumber of unique PSNsAverage positionPercentage with at least one goldPercentage with at least one gold (excluding Sardegna)
S391411100100
A+5486715090.288.3
A163461769271.564.2

C676095031017.78.1
D124840678146.02.1
E186123726624.61.9

The percentage of players with at least one gold might change a lot if you take away the easy Sardegna one. There might also be an effect from second accounts but don't have a way of knowing which ones are second accounts and not a unique person.

Edit: added percentage with at least one gold not including Sardegna results.

Very interesting statistics! Thanks for sharing.
I played online few months ago, but not 50 races and reached C DR. My total average on TT so far is 9386 position, but improving a bit and average for last 6 TTs is 3617 position. Checking your table it looks like I could reach A DR if I start playing online again, or I got numbers wrong?

Yeah I'd say you can definitely reach DR A if you're averaging that high up on the leaderboards.

Those stats will be slightly skewed due to different factors, so they're definitely not hard cutoffs or anything. For example a lot of DR A drivers will just get their gold (or worse) and stop after a few laps, and not push it to the limits, so their true pace is maybe faster than the time trial results reflect.

But I think you are so far within the margins of error that you definitely have the pace. But there's other factors to take into account too. Like there's an element of needing to develop race craft skill too. But even that can be minimised by just qualifying well. So then the question is how long it takes you to get your time trial time, and whether you're willing to put that effort into setting a qualification lap and learning the daily race combo well enough. But if you're hitting top 3-4000 in time trial i think you'd be way below that in daily race time trial rank because there's less players (although I haven't checked this) and most of them wouldn't put in as much effort to push it under 3% of the top time as they do for time trial. So you should be able to just race smoothly from near the front all the way up to DR A, but even then it will still just take some time to farm DR and get the 50 000 points you need.
