Sure, but that car(s) then won't have his original strength and weight due to BoP.

Until now, all specific with original settings.

That's we (@Fezzik and me) were talking about.
1 track 1 car
plus it would be the same cars that dominate all the time. if this had been a open choice gr.3 event, no one would have used the Skyline.

I like seeing what the aliens can do in lesser machinery - like “stars in a reasonably priced car”.

Exactly... Spot on!

Let's not forget, this will be the first TT with Gr.3/4 cars since the newest BoP system changes.

Frankly, I'm not sure if it would make a difference but I just had the thought

Did another few laps yesterday but i keep making tiny mistakes, and corner 3 was far from optimal in my PR lap so was hoping to correct that, but i just couldn't complete a fast lap without any mistakes.
Still happy with place 6148 (now) with a 128:721.

Up to the next one!

I scraped through with my original attempt!

I think it ended up being below a 1:29.062 for gold didn't it? haha

I don't mind that BOP is not perfect. We had daily Gr.4 races with dominant Alfas, GT-Rs, WRXs, Genesis, Meganes,...
yes, but that’s still just a handful of competitive cars - there’s about 30 Gr.4s and the system makes the vast majority of them useless for these events.

Here's my best lap so far in the Viper. I have no idea if I can stay as the fastest Viper.

Nice to see a good selection of cars in the top 100, top 200 even. WRX, GT-R, G70 and 155 are numerous, but also spotted a Silvia, 458 Italia, Veyron and a couple of Atenzas in there, plus your Viper (and the one shortly after). I'm going to have to finally buy the Viper Gr.4 and have a blast in that. I'm a big fan of the Viper in Gr.4 form!!

A car with a high G for fast corners is mandatory on this one in order not to lose time on the Chicane of Death. Using the GTR, but I think there should be a better car for this one.
Did some 15 laps and managed a 1:48:683, not the best time but surely enough for silver. Will try to get to the 1:47:xxx, very possible.

If the BoP didn't change anything from the last Gr4 race at Seaside, then you have to take a GT-R to have the best possible chance of a top time. WRX and Alfa were able to compete, but the GT-R happened to be the fastest car there. However, the cars mentioned above will almost certainly be enough for Goldzeit.

Bit disappointed that there is no specific car, was hoping the website would get updated to specify one.

Took the challenge of trying to get the NSX into the gold range, currently am at 1:46.9 with it - that car is an absolute boat! Just does not want to corner at all. I'll swap to something a bit better if it falls out of gold range, I don't think I can get much more out of the NSX.

Anything under 1:48 should be a safe silver, unless someone goes completely nuts.

I know it's not the fastest but I think I'll use the Jag and see if that gets me well within the gold time. I used it a few times at the last DTS Gr4 daily and loved it's 'not-so-understeery-like-the-GTR' balance.

GTR was fastest in TT last 2 time we were at Dragon's Trail. Doubt anyone will beat it. The fastest times from that daily race were in the low 1:43 range.

This is a car I was going to suggest for someone to be brave enough to try for gold. Well done!!! I'm very impressed!
