I haven't had time for TT yet, but here's a video of my Q when Seaside Weekly was last.

And then I drove with an automatic transmission.

not sure learning to flat out the chicken of death is that easy in anything.....

but yeah Gr4 I feel handle better than their power level compared to Gr3.
After some laps you should be able to go flat out in the chicane😁 that improve the time by at least 0,8 s...

Thought i'd give the new TT a go but my new kitten decided no.
Ten seconds or so after i started he would launch off the recliner behind me ,on to my shoulder ,on to the table and plant himself in front of the screen , pause,we did that 5-6 times, almost got a silver time, then he faked me out and pretended to go sleep down by my foot pedals, soon as i started again he noticed by big toe,Chomp!
So we mutually decided i would wait until he goes down for his 6 hour pre-bedtime nap,

Hello everyone 😊👋 here is a tutorial for the latest Lap Time Challenge on Dragon Trail Seaside with Gr. 4. 🔥 New today!

1:45,471
~0.76% away from the world record
Ranked #39 in the world
#3 in Germany
(Status: approx. 6 p.m.)

I hope it's of some help to you. I would be pleased to receive feedback. 👍

i don’t really care about the rewards (2 mil a fortnight isn’t a lot), just like the current setup with everyone using the same car, a more interesting challenge.
For me, it's a small fortune. I don't touch single player so even a million from a silver is good for me.

Got into 46s so should be safe gold. Btw read here that you need to flat out chicane to gold this tt, absolutly not ;) You can be like Kie in 45s without taking it flat.

Just did 1:47:874 and still not enough for gold. Actually can’t really understand how I did that time, I completely messed turn 2 and 3, but actually aced some corners in between. Still going through chicane of death at 180 km/h and honestly don’t know how people can go faster than that.

Ideal lap time @ 1:47:501 after 20 laps.

Popped in and ran two quick laps in the Alfa, to get an idea of where I might end up. Did a 1:48.9, and remembered my hatred for that chicane. May try the Nissan next time I'm on.

Population for the events, the RBR/Skyline combo has been the most popular until now.

The current one appears to be the easiest by far.

I'd really prefer if they avoid Gr.3/Gr.4 going forward - or at least fix the car to one of the not too popular in the category.

Depending on time I have will try to spice a bit the challenge by using a different car than the GTR/WRX.

Take a close look at the video here and you should see what the problem is.
Possible reasons why you lose time:

  • Braking too hard/long
  • Flaked "Trail Brake"
  • wrong turn-in points/ angles
  • active assistance systems that slow down your car too much
  • Accelerating too late or too early

Especially for the CoD it needs the right timing + courage + trust + the right steering angle + an optimal entry into this area.
Many tend to brake or step off the accelerator in the CoD, but this makes the GT-R unstable at this point and the necessary cornering angles change, as does the behavior of the car on the curbs. This is precisely why it is sometimes very difficult to create the CoD and you get the impression that it is impossible to get there faster. The "secret" in the CoD is a very fine steering angle at the right time and staying on the gas pedal so that the car remains as stable as possible.

Having a lot of fun with this time trial. Seaside's a fun, fast paced track, always enjoyed racing it on and offline.

Only took four tries to get in the top 3 percent, but I expect that to change in the coming days. :P

Not sure why everyone is saying this is an easy gold. I just ran the best part of 90 miles and finally posted a gold time (1:47.649). But it's early days yet, with those up the front sure to improve.
I hadn't been to the track until I saw your post.

"Let's check it out"

Well, I only needed 26 km to do 1:47.485, on automatic... lifting on the Death Chicane...

So far, too easy...

This TT should have been there with the BMW M4... would have been exciting how fast the aliens can move it there.

Most of the "better/good/top" drivers are now familiar with the GT-R, so there won't be much movement there anymore, since many can already drive there at their limit.

People yell immidiately that is is an easy one, but this reflects to the top guys to, the easier it gets the faster they are too, plus this track has alot of tiny point were you can loose alot of time imo it's def not an easy track

This morning I tried the WRX, the Megane and the GTR, I was the fastest with the GTR, pushed out a 1:46.772, lap felt quite good but can be alot better.
It's kind of a tactical track imo, with all the straights after almost each corner you can loose alot of time missing one apex, and i'm still not convinced the the GTR takes the deathtrap full throttle

The GT-R can do it like many other cars.. but the driver might not ;D

Exactly. Unless we have some secret Intel that isn't available in other domains, iteans its going to be 'easier' for others too.... in general, some people no doubt have tracks they're stronger on.

Its not „easy” (relativly and stats already shows that) because of track but because of gr4, you dont loose in this cars as much time when late on throttle as for example in superformula + they are easy to drive especialy in gt7.

Right now more than 50% of people registered managed to get at least Silver. That may vary a bit when gold improve, but most likely that will remain kind of similar
That was 25% for the Escudo, and 20% for the SF19 - so this one is objectively quite a bit "easier".

That doesn't mean some people won't have trouble with it.
I may well come back in a few days saying I can't get past the CoD...
