Autopolis in the Alphard?

Friends Lol GIF by Schitt's Creek

As you "have" to buy that fridge to complete extra café menu n°18, I've tried it on Autopolis short track in time trial (not online), man that's awfull. I'll boycott this TT. I'll come back with a more interesting combo. What's the idea of PD ? Punish players or give them good content so they keep coming back ?

I’ll withhold judgement until I’ve had a chance to put a few laps in but I can’t imagine wanting to put as much time into van laps, who knows though. It’d be nice to have something properly fast next time to mix it up a bit. LMP1s at Le Mans or something.

Here are the statistics for TT20 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in the Ford Mustang GT Premium Fastback '15.

  • Participation was good, despite it being a tuning event. The last 6 events have now had over 125,000 entrants each and the only other tuning event had only 80,629 entrant, although the track probably played a big role.
  • This event was the second worst for getting no reward, with almost 61% of drivers getting nothing (other than the deep satisfaction that comes from trying to tune a car in GT7, of course).
  • The big push yesterday by the top 3 stretched out the field; only 0.036% of drivers within 1% of the top time.
On a personal front this TT brought me my best result to date, finishing 91st with 1:27.357, my first top 100 finish. It feels a little hollow given it was a tuning event and therefore not everyone had the same equipment, but I'll take it.

In addition to the usual dashboard and table, I have again posted the chart showing reward distribution. I have this time also scraped the DRs, so have shown a new table with number of drivers in each reward category by DR, as well as proportion of each DR category is in each reward category. There is also a graph for the latter.

All this makes for a rather long post, so I'll likely not always do all of these, unless people feel there is value in it.

Golded the Mustang one despite the late drops. I took a gamble as my #1 account was within gold by .001"! Couldn't be bothered to try and better it and thankfully P1 didn't change. The #3 account was much safer at .032" in gold. Anyway, whatever... all counts the same!

This new TT looks LAME! If it wasn't for the 2 mil payout I'd skip it. Might still. Of all the new cars why are they pseudo-forcing us to drive these slow cars? I was really hoping for a 959 TT.

You could always wrap up the additional info in spoiler to reduce the length of the post as standard.

Interesting to see the effect of DR versus TT result. I don't really do many Sport mode races (barely any in GT 7 in fact) so my rating is C, but I should really be mid-B like I was in GT Sport...

Renault in GTWS, Fiat 1.2l for Daily A, VW Bus for Daily A, Toyota minivan for TT....

...meanwhile the Italian supercars sitting in the corner wondering why PD ignores them.

If I wanted to drive a minivan I'd literally drive to a dealership and drive one. That is why I play GT, so I can sim drive cars I can't in real life. Ugh. Not pleased with this TT but I'll probably do it as I rely on the 2mil payout to buy stuff in the game.

But at least I got to spend 17,000cr on a cool livery :D

Not sure about this one. Currently 1:30.793, at 5.26% and I am already losing motivation as it's pretty boring... I can see comfortably getting in the top 5% but I probably won't spend much effort to try the top 3%. Grinding will be far easier and quicker for the extra mil'.

Honestly, it's not as difficult as you might think. Just two things how to drive that brick, to mitigate the understeer:
1. In several sectors 70-80% throttle is better than going full send.
2. Patience. Lots of patience. Coasting and not hitting the gas until you are really around the corner and straightened up into the direction you actually want to go.

I've only given it 5 or 6 laps so far and I don't really know the track. I'll admit that I'm stubborn so as soon as I start to learn the track and van and get closer to the cut off times, that'll motivate me to then get the gold..
