Took a lot of re-thinking and overcoming some resistance (the newly-bought PSVR2 made me a more sheep-ish driver, I think) but I finally got the hang of this time trial. Managed to knock my time down about 4 seconds (lol) in the course of a dozen laps and am now firmly situated in Silver territory. I don't know if I'll find the patience/motivation to push it down into Gold but I feel kind of good about achieving this Silver. It didn't seem possible at all (in VR) about a week ago.

What do we think will be a safe gold time?

I've been grinding on the controller / flat screen a lot recently, gave the Time Trial a go (15 - 20 laps ish) and best I could manage was a ~1:41.7

Tried the wheel and PSVR2, within a few laps I'd matched my controller time, and another 10 laps or so I was down to a 1:40.400. Just so much more consistent in VR (and with the wheel...) and I could just lap over and over happily, whereas the controller was just so frustrating, I am not skilled enough using it to be accurate so it just felt frustrating.

Had another go yesterday, gave it 20 laps and got to a 1:39.998, hoping that will be safe as I don't have much time over the next few days to improve it.

I haven't been playing GT7 long, but surely anything under 1:40.000 is safe?

Were I you, I'd be concerned if the WR was getting beat by tenths each time. But so far that hasn't been the case.

Bonelli is not going to find another half second so sub 40 should be more than save

At first I didn't like this current TT at all. Just wouldn't find my rythm and the Radical felt too stiff and understeery so I only put in a few stints until I barely got into gold (which didn't hold long lol). Going back to this every other day, the car felt more and more stable and fun to throw around. It gets quite quick and feels sort of like a mini LMP car or go kart with time attack aero if you carry your speed through corners with minimal coasting and get back on the throttle early. Really didn't expect to get so comfy with this combo, but managed to get under 39.5 with room left to improve. Glad I held on until it clicked. Learned quite a bit about car placement, exit speeds and flow on this one <3

New TT on the 27th looks like it will be the Olympic one; unless they run the usual one alongside it.

Sound like fun, maby we even get some lift of snappiness frustrationess in T3 like the R8 , it hasn't got high sausages tho :lol::lol:
but i can feel a "don't want to turn in on T14 " comming
But i hope it's Trail Mountain, it's been a while since i drove that!, i'm down!

Will the Olympic time trial be even harder since there is so much at stake for the top racers? Getting within 3% might be near impossible
Yeah it will be, the top guys will be putting a lot of effort in, also it being in a high downforce car will also spread things out
