Thanks. Just watched @Mistah_MCA 's lap guide for Deep Forest and it showed 7 May end date, so that is that confirmed.

Visually this means the next few TTs look like this.

Ohboy...
Time to saddle up, it's going to be a long week.

Tried all the tracks before heading to work.

The new merc is really nice to drive.
The alfa is surprisingly fast.

Walking away with silvers for today.
Competition looks really tough, It'll be a miracle if I manage to gold everything.

Good luck peeps!

Tried the GR010 and the Alfa, I'm going to focus on the Redbull ring first, very tricky car!, did 40.245 to start with, sloppy and drifty but a lot of fun, now trying to find out what gears to be in 😁

The GR010 is going to be very hard for me on pad, the faster the more difficult for me 🤣🤣

1.5% of the top qualifiers for the GR010 Olympic event? This is going to be a pain in the butt for a lot of us. Will probably have to give my damnest to get gold on this one, especially when it's Deep Forest which is a track I'm not that good at.

Glad to know we can now do more time trials instead of just one every 2 weeks.

That GR010 is slippery. After 80 miles, which felt like only a few laps, I'm only at 1:16.9. Would have been good enough for gold usually, but not with the 1.5% target here.

Not all bad news though. I collected the two tickets for the new extra menus and opened them...

Never managed to improve on my 1.39.999 - but reasonably satisfied with my 4,592nd place finish.
Managed to post a few 29.5 first sectors, and lots of 29.6 and .7 using the vegetarian option method (no sausages). It was much more enjoyable this way - could string laps together. Just never managed to string the sectors together - optimums of 1.39.6 and .7 were seen. Onto the new fun and games. My view is that the time trials are needed to keep quite a few people engaged. I have an alt set up since December - used to try to learn how to tune and with no grinding involved - and even now I find I am only half bothered to progress through the things I have not completed with it. I do compete in the time trials with it - the stupid alt only managed a 1.40.0 this time :grumpy:

Basically just 4th with or without counter steer assist on ;)

Pick your poison.

Indeed 4th is quite a strong gear on the alfa, started without the aids, I learned NEVER use second gear 🤣 a bit wild on the exit TCS 0 but 3th out of thr hairpin is quite steady, ended with 40.089 this session, but after 600km today I'm done for the day,
🤣,

1'18'089 in Deep Forest Raceway for 20 laps with G29 and manuel transmission with TC at 1.
In Red Bull and Fuji Speedway I use DS4 in automatic transmission and TC at 1.
I don't understand why on the Red Bull and the Fuji I have less good times with the G29. I find that since the 1.29 update it's a bit more difficult. However I use the same parameters since GTS: 7/4/2.

Hmm, Redbull took 5 laps to gold, with little bit of margin.

Olympics, well Im at 16.3 atm. Will hunt that gold tomorrow. 😄
Need to study the top lap, I lose way too much time on some corner exits, must be a gear thing.
Also would love to be able to tune this thing.

Fuji, not yet tryed. Should be quite easy, might just skip it. 😂

Started trying the Alfa at RBR tonight, reckon I'll focus on that for a couple of days. My first few laps were dire, penalties and running wide. Completed 10 laps and finally got my time to 1:40.922, just over one hundredth off the current gold time. I'm hopeful with a bit more time and practice I can get that time down into the gold region.

Did Fuji gr3 TT first, only tried one car. 1.40.865 in the Huracan, seems like a fairly easy TT to gold, I think with a perfect lap I could get into mid 1.40s, with this car. While the leading time will certainly improve, I have a theory that the racing hard tires limit the grip much more than the typical racing softs, which keeps the gaps closer than usual. Combined with the track being fairly simple, so getting closer to the leading time will be easier compared to something like Suzuka or other even tougher tracks 🤔 Gonna try out GR010 Olympic TT next, trying to get comfortably in silver and perhaps return later to retry it.

That Toyota GR010 for the Olympics has a crap ton of oversteer with even the tiniest amount of throttle input out of slow speed corners and if you turn it strongly it suffers from snap oversteer. That's going to be a wild beast to tame...

With a controller, having so much precise throttle and steering input on a car that behaves like this is a nightmare. I'm on a 1:16.5 but I'm not going to give up on that Gold requirement. Hopefully even get into the 1:15 exclusive club.

Did 60 miles in the GTAm... my kinda car and Time Trial. Big power road cars with a penchant for oversteer. Pretty easily into gold.

My daughter woke up and needed a cuddle in the middle of making the video so only had chance to do a few laps in the GR010. Think I did 7 laps. 3 were clean. 17.7 so far. A lot to learn.

Haven't tried the other one... why PD give us 3 when I'm so busy! Been bored for months haha

I just ran a 1.17.172, dropped over 1 full sec but still, .77x away from gold,206th place,2.52%.
Too bad its not a normal TT,lol, i don't know if another .800 is possible, but it is a really fast lap,the track limits make it tight.
It's only 10 days instead of 13,it's going to go by fast. :)
Keep going, you go there!

So,
the reward increased by 100% but getting the gold dropped by 1.5%,,, objective that was only achieved by 500 +- in a universe of 50k+-

Yes, pad doesn,t help in faster cars...
Yesterday when start Bonelli was in front,,, today saw, was in 11° and now is in front again. Wow

Three time trials, this is amazing. I hope it's not a fluke and they keep the two non-Olympic ones. Did a couple of laps this morning in the RedBull one and came x.007 seconds within silver. With some proper focus I should be able to get a safe silver time. The Olympic time trial is brutal, though. I don't see myself getting within silver range there.

Side note – I appreciate cars with a "Shift Now" indicator in the cockpit. Makes shifting in VR a bit easier. 8)

Just logged in and found the gold I had for dragon tail turned into silver before the TT closed 🙄

I was near losing it because was at 2.97% when I shutdown last night with 4 hours to go. I thought I might be okay when I first got my gold time last week at about 2.7% but not good enough…

Still only one gold for me so far and that just had to be in a BUS 🚌
LoL

Maybe next time.

Wow a big pay day awaits those who get gold for these current time trials! But I just wonder if we'll continue to have weekly and bi-weekly time trials.

Ok then, at first full focus on the Redbull-Ring.
Then if i;m comfortable into gold area i'm swithcing to the Olympic, altho i'm not laying my focus 100% on that, cause i know it's not my thing, High downforce and very fast cars are just more Fanatec orientated  but that doesn't mean i'm not going to try, but it will be the one i put the least amount of time in.
So Redbull and Fuji it is.

This morning went for the first longer stint on the Bull, what a beast that Alfa, i like the way it floats and if it haden't that bit of understeer under breaking on SH tires it would have been the perfect car, agile, playfull, powerfull and it sounds awesom!, that turbo and that shift "click" does it every time for me.

My thoughts after a solid 120km this morning.

T1 def. better for me in 4th gear, sometimes i keep a little throttle on and after the apex so the full throttle feels less "agressive" and that exit makes or brakes your lap due to the long straight after it.

The hairpin T3 i'm not so sure yet, most of the time i only use 3th, in and out, but sometimes it grips like crazy, and sometimes it's just wheelspin, even wen allready straightend out....

T4 is kind of tricky, but most of the time i'm staying in 4th and brake quite early but because of the sloped braking zone is quite hard for me to determine the exact breaking spot each time.

T6 i can't figure out yet, i have trouble getting the car on the apex here, some laps are better, in this lap it was quite bad
and took ages before i could go on throttle, so i lost a fair amount of time here.

T10 is my enemy..... no further words needed........

This session closed with 1:39.627

A descent lap with good room for improvement
