The Alfa TT was quite easy. Golded on all three accounts, the best of which is a 39.2. All three accounts are well over a second clear of the current time so doesn't look like I'll be going back there. It was a pretty fun one, though.

Fuji also pretty straight forward. Tried it out in the new Merc as there are a lot of them on the leader board. But, IMO, there are a lot on the leader board because it's the new car. Honeymoon phase and all that. I didn't really like it. Jumped into my tried and trusty GT LM II and immediately knocked a chunk of time off. All three in gold and I'm confident they'll stay there, 40.8 the best and the worst less than a tenth off.

I just tried the Olympic TT, and well...
The car is such an unbelievable piece of turd. The way you can lose the rear on corner exits is absurd, so you're never sure how much throttle you can put in, and you naturally wanna be on throttle as soon as possible. But with this car, every slow turn is a nightmare.
Glad I am not the only one who thinks so. I swear I can't get a handle on this car. I'll be coming out of a turn, any turn, with virtually zero steering input, begin to give her some gas and around it goes. Just doesn't make sense. What a POS this car is. I even tried it with TC1 but rather than spin it just power slides and so much time is lost it might as well spin.

Unfortunately for me, this one is more of a chore than fun. My best time is poo at a 16.8. I know I am losing a ton of time because I am gun-shy to even touch the gas. I am going to keep trying as I'd love to get within gold but I am not going to continue if it's not fun.

After literally 75ish laps, I finally managed to get a 1:15.827 on the Olympic TT. The car seemed to have super inconsistent handling, especially through the downhill left hander just prior to the back straight. And getting on the power the tiniest bit too early is almost always a guaranteed spin.

Hopefully the time doesn't drop anymore lol 🤞

After about a 31 km session, and completing a lap once, a 1:39.3 in the Alfa at RBR. Pretty easy TT. This time should easily hold for gold, unless the top 1 improves by over 1.5 seconds, which is nearly impossible.

The Fuji TT will only end in 2 weeks time, so I'll focus on the Olympics tomorrow with the GR010. Sub 1:16 here I come. This will be the only TT that I will probably put actual effort, as in, triple or even quadruple digits kms sessions to get a good time.
Ever since the NSX at Nurburgring, I stopped giving my all for my best time possible... But this one forces you to get only within 1.5% to get gold and gives you 4 million for that. Gonna have to grind this one out.

Banged out another video for Fuji.

I'm 4 tenths off gold at Deep Forest. It's a big ask as I can't spend the time I uses to on it. Just finished a 5am feed and thinking of doing some laps whilst everyone is asleep but I can't be bothered to put my contacts in... so might do it with some blurry vision..! 😅

Did the 3 Time Trials today:
1:17:535 or 3,45% at Deep Forest
1:41:291 or 2,60% at Fuji in the new Mercedes
1:39:923 or 2,23% at Red Bull Ring
All on controller with Automatic and TC1 if i remember correctly. Audi 19 (close to a second) and Nissan GTR 18 (2 tenth) where slower for me at Fuji.
Hope they hold as Silver/Gold/Gold.
I guess Fuji is at risk the most.

Just realized this are 6 mil. cred. if it holds. Not bad for about an hour work. :-)

So, my day of GT marathon is coming to a close (over 1000 km of time trials today).
Going away tomorrow and those were only two days I had to do some laptimes around Red Bull Ring and Deep Forest - they will end before I come back.

Red Bull Ring - The Alfa doesn't turn and grips even worse, but damn, how addictive is this combo. Just when you think "there's nothing more to gain", "I'm fighting over peanuts here" and then you run the best line over the turn - not just run, but you know why you ran that way and how to do it again. This moment of clarity is the best in time trials, it gives motivation and purpose to keep on trying.
Managed to get under 1:40, barely. The gold might just stick.

Deep Forest - I'm all for Toyota (drive it irl), but this car is broken maybe? I hope the real LMP car doesn't behave that way. Even with TCS at 1 it wants to spin at almost every exit. Yeah, my ds4 inputs surely don't help, but still... We have now at WRS a time trial with Audi R18/LeMans combo and it's a completely different (better) experience of driving.
Anyways, I struggle here a lot, red times bonanza. Managed to get into mid 18s and quite proudly with TCS setting turned off, but there is no moment of clarity here. Probably not enough time put into this. Can't see myself going under 18, so with this result silver won't stick for sure. Oh well. Big ups to my mate @Jeje6410 for great driving with this combo!

Will be lurking around here while being away...
First of all congratulations my friend for going under 1'40 at Red Bull Ring. How many kilometers traveled to get a gold medal !!!!!! Frankly, I don't really like this TT because I can't do it. Even though I got the gold medal (barely), I can't do it with this Alfa. It too easily loses grip from the front and starts from the rear when accelerating slightly. So congratulations on getting under 1'40.:cheers:
As for the Toyota, it loses rear grip when you go too far out of corners. So the advice I can give you is to put a higher gear before pressing the gas so that it has more grip. It's a pleasure to drive, especially with a steering wheel and with the manual transmission with TC at 0. But I'm still far from the gold medal. It will take miles and miles to get there !!!!

Now had a few laps on all three, and have bronze in all - exactly one second off silver at RBR! Fingers crossed.
I'm chuffed that TT is being made a bit more prominent in GT7. Also a bit surprised - there are millions of copies of the game out there, but generally only about 100,000 or so show up for the TTs.

Currently gold on the RBR with the Alpha, 1:40.5xx

We'll see if it holds enough to get some good laps on the other two TT

You also have to consider some people have multiple accounts, so the total number of individual entries may not reflect the total number of individual users that participate in the TT.

Is there some practical reasoning for having multiple accounts? It's not obvious to me.

had a break from the game for a while so sorry if this has been asked but do you get prize money for every time you register in these events?
Every time you meet the target time at the end of each TT. Note that the target times change along the way as the world record time drops.

Currently silver in olympics and red bull, even though olympics is not a safe silver yet.

Red bull: I'm not that good at the track. I recognize I am always extra cautious in my driving style which is killing here.
I don't understand track limits on the last 2 turns. I'm mostly getting penalty and don't understand why, as I am quite sure that I went away at least once each with having 2 wheels on the grass in the first of the last 2 turns, or having 4 wheels out of the gray tarmac in the connection between the two turns, or having the yellow curb of the last turn in between the 4 wheels.

Speaking of penalties I like the way they are set in the olympics. I mean... I don't like them, but I like the fact that the moment you cross the limit you are notified, and the fact that in "regular" penalty serving, depending on where the serve zone is, you mess up current and next lap, while here you only get that lap invalidated

You can sometimes get away with penalties if you don't gain any time by going over the track limits. From what I've read the game assesses your time through a "mini split" and if you move too fast while off-track you get a penalty. Letting go of the throttle may sometimes save you from getting a penalty if you accidentally cut too much or go too wide and act fast enough.

Keep at least two wheels touching the tarmac and you should be fine.
