Long time lurker in this thread, would really like to populate my friend leaderboard if possible. Global leaderboards seem far away in terms of competition. Would love to have some names to compete with internally. So if any of you guys would like to see a somewhat rare flag within your leaderboard, my PSN ID is: Boabdulrahman

Aliens are welcome too 😅

Hello everybody! Just logged in for a quick session this morning, slight improvement at Willow… Yeah this thing doesn’t flow nicely, but it’s a fun challenge. Not the worst TT they’ve ever done! I’m not looking forward to Le Mans, is everyone enjoying it?

Your move, @Gomario JSP ! 😄

That Suadi guy really needs to stop now. He's .350 ahead of P2. Like what are you trying to prove, man!!! I am no only .061" within gold so I am going to need some more laps on this one for sure (but I'd so much rather do laps at LeMans in the Group C cars!).

This Nissan on is probably the most challenging one for me yet (less the NSX tuner race at Nords but I don't like tuner TTs).

Well, now I'm almost glad he keeps improving his time. Makes me feel better about losing silver two days ago. I no longer need to improve my time because now there's no hope.

The Fugu Z TT is so awkward and not the type of combination that I prefer. This made me switch to a stick for the first time since these online TTs started as I felt that I could tame the car much better than on a wheel.

My 1:16.530 should be enough for gold unless our Saudi neighbor decides to find some extra tenths in what is already a crazy time.

Practice , practice, again and again....is the secret. At the start I was 3'30 and by dint of driving and driving (1000 km on the clock at the end of the day 🥵🥵🥵 !!!!!) I lowered my time and went to 3'27.
By dint of doing it you will find the best place to brake at the chicanes to be able to come out with the accelerator at the bottom. My time I did with the DS4 and there is still room for me to improve it.
Allez courage tu peux y arriver 🇨🇵🇨🇵💪💪💪💪
With you on this - just learning the lines and when to go in slow is everything on this track. Gotta be disciplined and not just throw it in fast, exit speed buys seconds.

I was wondering what took you so long 🤣
So I did stand my ground for a fair bit of time 🤣🤣, I haven't driven the Fugu for a while now but maby ill give it one last session before it ends 🤣, this morning it was all le Mans, still trying to find the best car for me 😁

Nice job Dan!, always being the alien you are 🤣🤣🙏

Did a few laps around 24h Le Mans Circuit and my best for now is a 3:22.300 with quite a lot of time to improve after some wheel spins and outbraking myself on a few corners.
I'll be aiming for that sub 3:22 and if possible maybe even a sub 3:21 and for that top 100.

For now, I'll be watching the Spanish GP qualifying.

Get back on the horse amigo! It’s so much fun 😁 I had a pre-FA Cup final destress session and set a new PB! I feel there’s a lot of time still to be made just not sure I have the flexibility to grind this one. I’m never going to catch the flying Finns but 1:15.xxx is on the radar as is top 100. Hopefully I’ll get a few laps in before this one ends 😊

Oh and track limits are a little difficult here, this is how close I was on that lap!

Woke up early before the ol' nightshift to keep the track fresh in my mind.
I previously had trouble with the first chickane and focused on solving that puzzle.
Turns out, I was heavily overdriving it and trying to exit it on 2nd didn't help.
Adjusted my entry speed, exited on third, and made a considerable improvement dropping to low 22's.

Still many little mistakes made on the PB lap, and in many corners the car still has more to give, but the driver unfortunately is on the ragged edge.

I've shared the replay in case someone finds it helpful.

Back home after a week away. Had a few laps at Le Mans last night just to get on the board and then another hour this morning between the Porsche, Jag, Mazda and Sauber in that order. The Jag doesn’t ride the last chicane well and the short wheelbase makes it a little twitchy. It’s also a little down on top speed. Went quicker in the Mazda - it has a higher top speed but seems to understeer a lot with my driving. Hopped in the Sauber (rented) and took a second off on the first flying lap!

Subsequently went back to the Porsche and all but matched the time, and had one lap that was much quicker and looked like being gold worthy before track limits intervened. Currently on a 3:27.4 but should be able to duck into gold with a bit more track time. Lots of fun!!

@Dan_Tes altho i am not that strong on the fast grouped cars i do enjoy le mans quite a bit!, the bad thing for me on this track is the last chicane with that damn sausage again.....it has eaten somany goldlaps that it should be satified by now,

so you should leave Willow immediately! 🤣🤣 and take the 787B and the Sauber for a ride 😁👌

Sub 3:22 is done, and surprisingly 31st in the world :embarrassed: And I can still shave off at least 3 tenths. Can't see myself going below 3:21, after over 760km driven today, I've more or less found my limits.

The car to use here is definitely the Sauber C9. Very stable and is good at pretty much everything in comparison to the other Gr.C cars. Anything else besides a Gr.C car is a waste of time.
The hardest sections of this track for me is the Dunlop Chicane and Tertre Rouge, which is a good thing because they are corners that are early stage of the lap, so if I get them wrong, which I've definitely had them with a gazillion penalties for exceeding track limits, I can just restart the lap without having wasted much time.

Other tricky corners are the Mulsane corner and Arnage which are the slowest speed corners of this track and they can be tricky because you have to be in 2nd gear on the exit and be very careful on keeping the car in a straightline and on the throttle to not wheelpin the crap out of it and spin.

Everything else is doable, even the Porsche curves and the Ford Chicane, although this last one corner before the finish line can also be tricky if you hit the sausage kerb at the exit, which can be pain inducing because it's at the very end of the lap.

EDIT: Other cars are a waste of time in the sense that they are slower of course... Any of the 2016 LMP1s can get easily into gold in this TT and they are much easier to drive than the Gr.C cars. If you are just aiming for the best possible time, the Sauber C9 is the only choice here.

After lot of trial&error I've got a 17.859 at willow.
I'm particularly happy with it because it came out from study sessions.
I hope it stays silver, I don't have probably time left on it.

I saw couple of your hot laps, I think here the threshold between good and average is easily spotted in the first 3 turns. Goods revs out the hell from second to generate controlled oversteer, average use third to gentle open as soon as possible.

I'm obviously in this second group, since I'm great in generating oversteer, but still struggling with the control piece 😅

Woohoo! In the 1:15 club! If I'm able to get in the groove, I can hit the first set of blind corners nearly every time. There is a slight dark patch in the middle of those turns that I can gauge if I'm on the right path or not. A spot I gained time in particular on my lap tonight was the banked corner at the far side of the track. A bit of trail braking, downshifting at the right time, and getting a good launch out of the turn was key. I felt I got through the esses fairly well. I did miss the apex on the final turn, but I doubt it cost me much. I think I may be officially done with this one unless some "friends" decide they want to climb ahead of me on the leaderboard. :P

I don't know if the time will keep me in the top 200 by the end of the TT, but I should solidly pick up a top 300 ranking barring any crazy circumstances.

As for my "friends," I repassed @Dan_Tes, but I now have a THIRD Finn in front of me! I'm tempted to claim Finnish citizenship just for GT7 time trial purposes. I think it will automatically make me several tenths faster.

Tried the Sauber again (since most of the Aliens use it) and got down to 3:34.348 - still a long way from silver but I'm happy with that! I must be making some Errors of Principle somewhere to be so many seconds away from gold...... watched plenty of replays but just don't see where going wrong.

Saw a couple where they say you can go through Porsche Curves(?) at full throttle - I can't, not without a major pile-up! 🤣

Another half hour in the Porsche tonight. Tried a couple of new things including grabbing first gear briefly to help get the car rotated into the first chicane and in the middle of the second chicane which then is helping getting on the power earlier and harder in third - time is now into gold territory by two tenths with a 3:25.37 putting me within spitting distance of @Evilmuffin on my little leaderboard 😜

The 962 doesn’t seem to be a popular car for this and based on my limited testing, it seems slower than the Sauber and the Mazda, but I was determined to get it into gold. Will now spend some time with this other two and see if I can get any further improvement.

The Le Mans time trial is by far the easiest I've done. It didn't take me long to beat the gold time by half a second in the 787B. Track limits are surprisingly kind compared to GT Sport where even the slightest off-track excursion would result in a penalty. The time trial on Streets of Willow in reverse is crap because I'm essentially learning a new track. In fact it's worse than that because I know the track quite well in the standard direction. Best time so far is a 1:17.554.

Had to have one more go - found another 2 tenths, but actually was much faster than that but had a poor first and last sector which cost me 7 tenths on my previous best sectors - safely gold now by 4 tenths but have a 3:24.4 in me somewhere with the Porsche.

Damn you Willow guys 🤣🤣, I tried so hard this morning but called it a day, I'm so frustrated and not by Willow, but those to kittens are killing my GT flow.... after a night of sleep (in the hallway) they are 300% terror and run around the house, over the coach, over me faster then the 787B on the la Sarte backstraight, and that morning time I just need to focus.... ik got to make some changes here I want to have a chance to keep up with some of you 🤣
If you are frustrated and pissed it just won't work....

I did run Willow with TCS to see the difference, and was quicker than my PB but stuffed it up due to lack of focus ....damn cats..... 🤣🤣

I read what you posted some times ago and said to myself if i still keep wondering, i will ask. So... The other day you said you grab some frozen bread before you leave house, what in the world are you doing with frozen bread?
And btw, how it went with your kitchen renovation?

Bro great lap!! I love how you did 25 laps in a row and all the times we can see are in the 1:16s without penalty, that consistency is 🤯.

🤣 I'll explain, I have all my bread laying in the freezer and before I go I grab a few slices to have breakfast behind my desk at work, so I'll throw them in the toaster there 🤣
The reason why I do this is because due to my wonderfull diabetic I can only eat carb lowered bread, and it's nasty, doesn't taste that good, but just tast a little better when toasted 🤣🤣

And the kitchen is sort of done 😁, still need to replace the countertop for a white one, but all the cabines (only have floor ones now) are black now and made a new backwall with fridge , feezer, oven and more storage 😁 so few things left to do but I'm in kitten hell now so that will have to wait 🤣, somany things to do, then still want time to race and fish .... to few hours in a day, even when up at 6 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for asking btw 😁👌
