A bit difficult TT for me. I am not so skilled. Still a lot to learn.

Silver for now, barely, at 4,95% (2:23:105) but if I could manage to put all best sectors together it would be 2:21:709.

Somehow I lose rear end here and there and whoops a second is gone :irked:

Definitely my favorite TT so far. Wasn't super familiar with the track before, but since my thing for years now has been road cars on Nordschleife, this just felt right. I always start without any research on the alien times, just take the car and the track and start churning it away and searching for the time that I can find organically. Did about 10 laps yesterday and another 10ish today, and should be safe for gold with 2.19.9. The really nice thing about this is that I've only had two spins, other than that each lap has been whole. Yes, the car is lively, but it gives you the tools to control it even when it gets out of line. What I absolutely hate about any and all high downforce cars is that it's all good until it's pointing in the wrong direction. I genuinely hated the Skyline SS by the end of the RBR TT, and Interlagos with GT-R wasn't great either.

Something at around 2.19 seems like my ceiling keeping it clean. Figured there is most likely something the top times are doing that I'm not, thought it would be cutting some corners way more aggressive since I've only gotten penalty once. But I suppose it's thrashing it sideways, which I don't think I'm interested in. Maybe I entertain myself watching some replays of it. Kinda still think it's cool that the car allows you to really handwrite your own approach.

Edit: So there is a cut I hadn't taken before, second to last corner. The curb looked a bit worrysome to me since the car already is a bit tail happy going through there, but you can actually cut it very aggressively and save a good few tenths there alone. Now at 2.19.5 and happy enough with it.

Did my third session this evening, I'm realy beginning to like this combo, it is so hard to run a flawless lap, and the more laps I do the better Maggiore gets, I'm also very curious how that nissan would drive in real life, it just can not be that bad 🤣
Eventually I did a 1:19.952 so finally in the '19s 😁 barely....but we are in! 🤣🤣, but I doubt this would be enough, so we keep practicing 😁

So far 2:19.468 with ABS off.

Are you running with TCS on, or nah? I never thought of turning ABS off :ouch: But I can see it helping the car slow down faster. I'm gonna try it 'cause with how I'm currently taking that right hander just after the T1 split, it may be alright; I'm putting the car just left of the center of the track and braking in a straight line, then turnin in.

Here's where I'm at with TCS at 1 and (no ABS - yet?)

All assist off.
With ABS off is more difficult because the car is more unstable when braking and I have to brake earlier.:)

Spent a couple of hours yesterday, struggling quite a bit to get a good time.
Best I could achieve is 2:21.4, which is a full second off gold. Should be fine for silver at least, if I fail to improve.
With the same amount of time I had gold on all but the first 2 TT.

And as of now only 5.4% of people got gold, which is very low - so either everyone is struggling or people hate the combo and give up...

I don't know what is is, i did 23 laps this morning, and i'm NOware close to my times from the last session, push laps come out at 1.20.5, and i can't figure out what changed, it just looks like the car behaves different, ok, i have changed the apearence of the car, splitters, sides, and diffuser and a custom paint etc.
But that wouldn't make any difference.

after 23 laps i called it a quit, frustrated to the bone   :banghead: :banghead:

Sometimes frustration is your best friend. There is every chance your next session will show the benefit of that 23-lap session. I had a bit of that over the weekend; couldn't get near my 2:19.77 best, then on lap 2 yesterday morning got to 2:19.39.

If you have time, here is a video on the topic.

Similar situation - did a hour session yesterday and couldn't beat the initial 2 laps I did on day 1.

I usually like the road cars but this one is a boat, don't know what they've done to it as I've used it in the world circuits and I swear it's not that bad.

Yep. Some comments on High Speed Ring, which work from GT1 on up:
Turn the driving assists OFF, period. This track has been around way too long to not know it well.
Turn 1 is taken flat out, staying low means you travel less distance than your opponents. You may need to slow a bit partway through to avoid a spin. If you hit the wall near the end, so be it.
Just after turn 2 there is pavement for a ways off the outside of the track, use it.
Turns 3 and 4 are medium speed, enter 3 on the left and exit on the right. Tap the throttle and enter 4 on the right. Exit this turn on the shoulder of the road going into the tunnel, then move to the left to prepare for turn 5, which is a right hand kink. Hit the gas as you pass the apex, then aim deep into turn 6 staying near the wall to your right. Be very careful not to spin out here. You need to enter this turn FAST and let the banking do its job, the out-in-out method will cost you time.

Special Stage Route X: mash the gas and steer.
