How do you guys know how many Kms have you done during a time trial? Through daily marathon? But I'm not sure if it always appear, or when
This morning, i've only played on the same circuit. So, pretty easy with the daily marathon counter.
Otherwise, you can note the kilometers (or miles) of the car at the beginning and at the end of your sessions.

This is a far less reliable method though, as PD never fixed the odometer bug where you can drop all the miles you've clocked.

This is how I do it.

Can't say I have noticed that. 🤔

Today was Spa day but no massage, just slippery roads! After a little over 1.5-hours, 3-4 laps where I was almost there and made a mistake that ruined it, I was sitting there with only 0.107 improvement, still 0.165 to go. I decided I needed to put the fighter plane livery back on and give her a good wash (need all the aero possible 😂).
Go back in, load up new ghost, set it 0.2 ahead and literally on my very first go, I ABSOLUTELY BLEW OUT MY PB!!! Ohhh man does this one feel great! Prob second behind the Le Mans effort wise and satisfying. 0.545-second improvement this morning!!!

Uploaded my lap and also shown below! Lol makes me nervous even watching it like “oh my god please don’t screw up” lol

Just checked the site and was surprised to see that i am still placed 1123 on Spa after all those days!, so not that much movement ?

Good to see the new one popping up already, maby i'll even get to try this one on the last day on PS5 if I'm lucky, cause there is a good chance I'll buy one if I get home.
Then PS4 disk (normal version) to PS5 digital, and pray that if I download GT7 on the 5 that the progression gets switch to the new version..., otherwise.....ill cry for sure 😄😁

Great, that’s all we need.. our resident alien in hiding returning and bringing upgraded hardware just to keep us all on our toes!! Enjoy the PS5, I absolutely love mine it’s a real worthy upgrade. GT7 is absolutely beautiful anyway and the next gen console really makes the most of it!

I had a nightmare session in the Viper last night, mighty sectors everywhere but not one clean lap. The Vipers unruly heaviness and peculiar loss of traction without warning is really grating. Even wine didn’t solve the problem (like @half_sourly i drive much more consistently under the influence 😈)

However this morning was a lot of fun, the Red Bull X2014 and I have bonded and even the grip/penalty lottery did not sully the experience. I did one session without restarting once and it was a monster! Two PBs including breaking into the 2:37s which I am PUMPED for! It was a bit of an experimental lap as I had an average sector one so played with some more aggressive lines, somehow escaped the penalty system and any puddle yeets!

I think that’ll be it for Spa, it was very frustrating at first but I grew to love it.

What a boat the Viper is 😅. Fun challenge actually especially on Blue Moon, underrated short track imo. 1.14.3, so silver is easy like always. Gonna give it one more run after maybe tweaking wheel settings, and seeing if gold is possible or not. And then wait to see what happens to the gold time. Could be another close call and a missed gold like Spa 🤔

hey Gran turismoers, here is my current viper lap as it happened 😁 will push for a 11.5 which I think will be the final tenth possible 👍

Why isn't this time showing up on the Global Ranking leaderboard? This lap time should be 2nd in the world right now.

Was this run in the TT or just done in a custom race?

I hope that this TT will help me to finally understand this track as I couldn't gold the CE even after hundreds of laps. 😖

I made this video of High Speed Ring CE a while back. Maybe it will help? The line in the first real corner was a new one to me... maybe I'd been driving High Speed Ring wrong since 1997!

Edit - this is before anyone convinced me to actual talk over the lap so it's just a straight replay of a Gold Lap (physics may have changed things a bit since I don't know...)

We've both been driving it wrong since 97 in that case! I think they massively increased the banking around GT5/6 which would have modified the line further towards the outside.

Physics have changed making it a bit easier to control the cars on the banking, so hopefully the gold won't be as tricky as the CE was

Only ran Spa about half as much as I normally would. Settled into mid 2:42's with no major improvement. Managed to post a 2.40.8 last night. Not sure if that can be improved but going to give it a shot. As it's a top 7,000 time, I probably do not have too much more in me.

Edit 2.40.093......the pressure is on!

I tried a bit more at Spa and that horrible Viper last night. Both sessions were a disaster and I was not able to improve upon my times that are currently between 3 and 4% off the lead. I'm on on vacation tomorrow so it looks like these will be Silver for me this week.

Now I never considered myself a "good" driver but competent and I can often, but not always, gold many of the TTs. These last two I have really struggled with and hats off to you that were able to get gold in these. Those that did prove you have the delicate touch needed to tame some unruly beasts.

Thanks a lot @Blayney for this video, as I can see, I'm already +0.3 on the first sector compares to you and +0.450 at the end. This CE is really an expert level, same as Deep Forest.

Don't worry @Gorefast we are legion in silver on this one, as gold is really complicated to catch.

Meh...just did a 1 hr section and BMB was not clicking with me today. Somehow I keep losing the grip lottery in sector one, especially the double left hander at the end of it, and I totally forgot how to do the last corner. I've only gotten under the 1:13s exactly once.

While there was only a minor gain yesterday, my optimal was a 1:12.618. I was hoping I can get closer to it but no...it was a 2 step backward today 🫠
