New controller ps4 to ps5, I'm not used to it yet, can have something to do with it, no excuse though, since I couldn't get gold on the CE and that was with ps4. 🙂

I don't know, can't gold the CE either, but this TT is still young and plenty of time to improve, aiming for silver. 😀

I've practiced a lot yesterday on HSR with the Mazda and obviously, it helps a lot. I've followed Tidgney's ghost this morning and BOOM!
You'll need some laps to be familiar with the circuit and the car and the silver scores will come very fast. Gold will follow in no time

With the amount of downforce on this lovely car, I just wish it was a longer circuit! Call me crazy but I feel like the OG Tomahawk would have been great here.
Watched Jeddah’s lap couple times and I felt this has been one of the easiest TT’s thus far landing 55.139 after maybe 20 laps or so. Did about 10-15 more but couldn’t improve more. I’d play “how low can I go” but I’ve been enjoying daily’s and have 19-more races until platinum (0-10 top 5 finishes since becoming B rated driver)

I did some laps and the new tt is quite entertaining. Unfortunately the second left hander is hit or miss. You sometimes get penalty for touching the wall and sometimes you can wallride without penalty 🤷🏾‍♂️

I got my S-10 gold at Spa a few mo the ago after investing about 800 km into it. When I finally nailed it, I was working on my 3rd beer.

Yeah that's impressive Manou, great score! I hope it should hold 13 days for gold

I've also improved my PB at 55.645 (Dual Sense + automatic):

• Sector 1: 22.722
• Sector 2: 17.710
• Sector 3: 15.213

Never thought I would say this, but HSR is easy gold. I managed 55.667 and am confident it will be good enough in the end.

Kudos to everyone who sweated their time at spa. It wasn't my best TT, I didn't come out of bronze with my record, and even my ideal was just inside silver.
The TT with the Dodge doesn't look great either, I'm struggling, but at least there silver should be safe.

Alrighty then.
I think most people will be able to get gold with this - on wheel at least, not sure how controllers fares with high downforce cars, especially on this track.

I did 55.667 with controller, as I said above I think it should be easy gold even for DR B rated players like me.

I'm mainly a wheel player, but that specific TT is incredibly easy with a pad I think. I golded it no sweat with a pad at lunch.

DS5 user here, very easy on controller - same time as you currently

I got a quick few laps in at the high speed ring. Got myself to a +2.35% time. I know I’ve got faster in me but I’m not sure if I’ll have time to to do it. Hopefully this will last to remain gold, but I’m not optimistic with these early days.

I followed an alien ghost and saw they are already pulling all kinds of tricks (staying inside at corner 1 to save a few yards) and the top times are quite close. The track has very few corners where you can really gain time. I think the final record will be 54.2 +/- 0.1 sec. I would be really surprised if 55.8 would not be good for gold.

The starting point of this new TT is slightly annoying - you're close enough to the last corner that you can't quite build up enough exit speed out of it, and you don't get to max speed by the line. So lap 1 is never going to be your optimum lap as you lose a tenth on the run to turn 2 every time.

Pretty frustrating, but my current record (54.882) was done on my out lap. I managed to combine all my best sectors on that lap, especially that infuriating last turn.

Just need to combine these good sectors with a flying lap.

It is still early but I do not think I was inside 1% before. Still some room for improvement as I had to lift a little on the exit of last turn.

Threw down a quick 12 laps at the HSR. Into the Gold time a decent enough margin before any aliens go to war.

Not following any ghosts right now, but I did watch the current WR lap for some insight and I think I could improve my line through the 2nd sector for a couple tenths.

It's easy to lose track of time on these short laps, but I want to try to improve my Gold cushion at BMB before I go too hard here.
