I'm not even that serious about this game in the way that some are but I really like being a part of this. Also, there is a link to help fund Mr. Sourly's time commitment. A buck or pound or euro or whatever you use multiplied by a few folks in here a couple times a year probably is a good way to help.
Where might one find this link?
It's not visible on mobile at least.
Asking for a friend :D

I hope I'm finished at Sainte-Croix with this car!

So many other events to do, I didn't want to spend all my time here. Thankfully, I did manage a Gold time. I think I'm in the clear?

Here's a video of my lap, also bonus video of first person camera. It's just a taste of the frustrations this car had in VR the wheel and hand seem to always block your view, no wonder so many apex are missed!

Now I need to hurry up and set a time at the Nordschleife ...

Hmm....to grind or not to grind? 🤔🤔

Mmmm.... I don't know, feels to easy....
Did 20 laps on the laptop streaming and already did a 47.8...., I'll leave this one for now and focus on the 918 tomorrow morning

I'm sure I will try to get closer to @djolliea ...thanks for the ghost..... 🙏👍😜
But tomorrow is Porsche stint 😁🤣

I have not given the TTs much attention in the last few weeks but I just hopped on and got the gold for Alsace. Not a stunning time, I appear to be losing a lot of time by bouncing too much over the hill. Need to work on that.

Also tried the 918 at RA. In the ten minutes I gave it I was not able to complete a lap without sliding off in understeer. It feels like this car has no brakes in a straight line and then when you try to turn in, it just wants to plough straight on. I must be missing something with this because after driving Gr.3 cars at RA for race B this week, this - supposedly great car - feels absolutely terrible.

Grind!! Maybe it’s just me but this one is AWESOME! Fun to do, quick lap, easy gold for most, some skill… it’s like Sardegna with Gr4 or whatever it was… but better! I’ve been 0.15s ahead of WR in sector 1 but overcooked the tricky right left one in sector 2! Thanks PD, even bought the Mazda for this one 😁

Looks like more fun than the Michelin TT...

I can hardly get over the start line without voiding the lap - I know I need to give it some practice, but I've taken an instant dislike to it.
After the chicane, drive to the the right side of the track as you get to the top of the crest. This will allow you to full power down hill and swing the car to the left ...then all you have to do is just lift a little to do the final turn before starting the lap.

Also...it is a high power road car with relatively low down force and standard brakes. It will take some distance to slow down :)

Im pretty much done with road atlanta, personal thing but 1000s miles grinding out daily race times and then the LMP stuff and now a a hyper car.

Mentally i can't adjust between race level laps and weird lap time TT laps on this one.

Obviously excuses but im gonna let it fall where it falls on this one.

The Alsace one was a 3 lap 2% jobbie so will leave that there as well unless the aliens find .8 of second it's all good.

The new Gr4 TT is indeed an easy one, but fun nonetheless. It seems I have a 0:47.5 in me, but it'll do for now.

The new Michelin TT ? It is AMAZINGLY FUN ! I highly recommand everyone to try it. Sure you will need skills for a vg time, but anyway you'll have fun, even with RS tires.

That's it for tonight...

The Alsace TT is one of those where you keep thinking "one more lap" for hours until it's past midnight and you have no more time for anything else in life.

Sitting at 0:47.300 (P8) with an opt. 47.152, which would be P1.

Tomorrow I need to try the Michelin TT before I touch the Alsace again.

Exactly this! The thing I don't like about it is literally I can't stop once I've started

Fell out of gold @ St. Croix a few days ago, grinded back down to gold today w/ a 2:00.241 with an optimal of 1:59.585. Definitely more in the tank but we'll see if this stays put now that there's 2 new TT's for the aliens to play around on and leave this one alone for the next 6 days lol.

I feel like I'm the only one who hasn't tried Alsace yet. Instead I ran some laps in the 918 today. Man, my brain was still in 919 mode and this car felt like poo for several miles before I learned how to drive it. The racing hards feel very odd. I keep expecting the car to slide, but of course it doesn't...until you push it a tad too hard. At least I can do 4 or 5 lap stints before the battery runs out, giving me a chance to get into a rhythm unlike the 919. Anyway, not a bad start.

Onto Alsace tomorrow, followed by some more time at the Ring since I haven't been there in well over a week. I still want that sub 7:44! :D

Right when my distaste towards the Lamborghini peaked, the times started to drop considerably and the car felt... good?

Improved a cool 5 seconds and before this last stint I didn't think I would make the cut for gold on this one. Now it's actually in reach. Thanks @Chris30, your post the other day motivated me to try again. Still not there yet, but glad I did.

Started out with the 918 blasting around Road Atlanta, but i had so much trouble keeping it clean and mowed so much grass it wasn't even funny, several times before the S'es i was side by side with my 0.5 ahead ghost but keep having trouble with T6
that is my real enemy here wich it wasn't on the higher downforce GR1, god i hate that corner
did find some time tho but with a crappy lap, not beautiful and when i look at it i can find a hole freaking second in it...., besides it looks very slow, and mist 2 major apexes ...., so a bit frustrated on this one this morning....
I'll try this weekend again

I was reading somewhere here someone had trouble starting the lap due to easy invalidation, after checking my replay i now know why..... if you hit it the right way, you are off to Jupiter

Behold my crappy PB lap for now ( 1:15.862 )

Then besides i was frustrated to the bone due to the 918... my cat had planned to run over my coffey , he came running out of the hallway with 918 speed jumped on the couch and then on the table..... Lungo all over the place.....
Just shoot me ...

So thought, i just want short laps, no difficult things, just drive so gave Alsace a chance again..

I had a much lower optimum wich would get me in the top 50, but yeah...... last corners you know.....:lol:
But i had way more fun with it than yesterday!, and i'm starting to appriciate it!..
it's kind of addictive.
For me T1 and the last corner are my weakpoints, we will be working on that!
