I have a 1:14:9XX that’s just short of silver. I’d like to get another crack at it tonight (or possibly improve to gold) but I’m not sure if the event is going to end before I get a shot.

I don’t have access to the game at the moment. Can someone please tell me the cutoff time? Also can we expect a new time trial to be posted right afterwards? This is the first time I’ve tried one of these with any seriousness. Thanks!
So this means I'm no longer in silver then.

Previously, on October 18th:

I think a safe time to lock in gold would be to break into the 1:13s.
I can already tell I won't be spending much time with this time trial.
Doodle's message was from 1.24, back when the Corvette was much more of a dog to drive than it is now.

My previous best was a 1:13.8, but now that I finally tried the 1.25 physics for a first time, 1:12.9. LMAO

Barely had the time (and to be honest, the will as well, given GT7's boring state) to do any runs these two weekends. Posted a 1:12.8 in about a 100km+ session today.
Looks like it would be a handful with a lot of throttle and steering inputs control. But I could definitely be within a low 1:12s. Not sure I could ever go into the 1:11s.

Good enough for gold. That's what matters.

Gave it one more run tonight to see if I could improve. Nope. I seriously want to take a stick of dynamite to the right guardrail as you near the top of the esses. It has become the bane of my existence. :grumpy:

Overall, I was hoping to break back into the top 500 after tonight, but it just wasn't happening. I should stay in the top 600 with only a few hours left. I was at 550 when I started my session tonight and 551 when I gave up. I'll take my 2 mil credits and be happy I was even that high up the order.

I had done 1:13.58, which was gold at the time, but was silver today. I tried a bit more, but was struggling to improve, so I watched Kie's video, and copied his style of corner exit, which was a bit different to how I'd been doing it, and got my time down to 1:13.16, which I think should be safe for gold at the end.

Finally managed to get under 1:13 with my DS5, in the final hour. 😬

Fun Fact:
GT7 only allows you to discard a car if you own more than one of it.

I learned that after I tried to discard this week's Corvette C7 POS from my garage. So I bought a second one purely for the pleasure of deleting the first.

Yes, I am that petty. However, the ZR-1 deserves this for trying its darnedest to make me hate all FR cars.

1000+ miles of misery and a 1:13:4xx. Never again.

Gr. 3 on Nurb GP ? yeah best I can do would be silver.
how could you know in advance?, just go for it, get to know the track, the car and just hunt for gold :)
I haven't spend much time on the GP circuit but that's the power of participating in the TT's, after 2 weeks i know every inch, every tracklimit and were to search for extra time, watched several videos of the top guys, and then be proud of the 2 mil i'm going to earn :),you can do this

And since I'm on holiday this week and have a bit of time, here is one for the visual folk. This TT looks very similar to the Z Performance '23 at Lago Maggiore; two FR cars, albeit the Corvette somewhat more powerful.

On a personal level, the Corvette at Watkins was my best nominal finishing position (393rd) and percentile (0.4%), and joint second-best time difference to #1 (1.76%), beaten only by the Nissan GTR at Dragon Trail.

The new TT will be a challenge for me; I've never done well at Nürburgring GP. Looking forward to it.

Maby it will grow on you :)

First 15 laps and 1:59.740 with Supra.
Silver and second from gold - in very beginning.
Thats a good start, i can't wait to try it out, i'll set a time when i get home :-)
Cool choise the supra, i think we all expect the nissan to be the fastest?

Altho i have have expectations for the RSR on this track

Same. I can never hook up sector 1, it just doesn’t flow right to me. Can’t see myself keeping up with the aliens for even a silver.
True, but i'm curious to see how the top guys nail that, maby we all don't take it the right way, we will see

Good luck guys

After a few hours the RSR seems to dominate the leaderboard.
Within my first 12 Laps i managed 1:57,392, but it doesn't feel good enough for gold at the end.
(I'm an average DS4 Driver)

Thank you for statistics, great job you done!

Ok, this one is good by me! I'll probably just wait and see what the META is and use that. For TT I don't care to experiment, just want into the gold range and call it good. Thankfully I stayed within gold for the Vette one on both accounts by a fair margin.

I am really enjoying the TTs, great addition by PD. Especially thanks to the 2mil payout.

Ah a spreadsheet guy... a person after my own heart! I, too, keep a GT7 spreadsheet with a page for TT. But, mine is much simpler which I just put in the fastest time as well as my times for my #1 & #2 accounts to see how 'safe' I am. This was the first TT I did this for and wish I would've started it earlier and kept all the different ones. Ah well...

Ah, my friendly reminder that I have absolutely no idea how to tackle sector 1 of the Nurb GP circuit.

I don't think I'll be contending for the top 200 like I was with the Corvette TT here, my first laps are about 2 seconds down on 1st (1.74% to 1st). Using the AMG 2016, which I imagine isn't the best choice, but.. I like variety.
