Statistics for the TT at Watkins Glen Short with the Corvette ZR1 '19

View attachment 1203905

And since I'm on holiday this week and have a bit of time, here is one for the visual folk. This TT looks very similar to the Z Performance '23 at Lago Maggiore; two FR cars, albeit the Corvette somewhat more powerful.

On a personal level, the Corvette at Watkins was my best nominal finishing position (393rd) and percentile (0.4%), and joint second-best time difference to #1 (1.76%), beaten only by the Nissan GTR at Dragon Trail.

The new TT will be a challenge for me; I've never done well at Nürburgring GP. Looking forward to it.
These stats are really interesting, thank you for going to the trouble of producing them, it's appreciated.

Quick question. I managed bronze 🥉 at the previous TT at Watkins Glen, but I don't know how to collect the credits reward. Couldn't find it in Sport mode or in Garage either.
Where is it?

It should just pop up once you enter sport mode; it will show an icon at the home screen next to where sport mode is. You go there and it automatically pops up. You sure you got bronze?

Previous page has a screenshot of what it would look like:

No it doesn't expire. Are you sure the TT ended with you getting a bronze? Lap times for gold, silver and bronze keep changing...
Then it seems I didn't manage bronze afterall damn!

But I'm a noob at this TT challenge, I don't understand this: if the global record stays the same how do the times for the gold etc. change?

Got a 2:202.471 in the Mazda RX-Vision on my first go. Probably could get a better time in the Porsche (or the Mazda for the matter) if I can hit my marks (and as soon as I dig my wheel back out). Can easily get a bronze time in several cars but we'll see as time goes on.

I've seen other people saying they couldn't get the prize. Probably a bug.

Just did a 1 hour session in the 911 RSR at Nürburgring GP. For a long time my best laptimes were sailing around 1.57.3-5. But finally got it together on one lap and I did a 1.56.890.

Pretty sure that will be enough for gold (seeing that Fuvaros is on top and 2 tenths ahead of P2 which suggests his lap is very fast). Might just leave it at this and check whether or not the lead time improves significantly. I could only feel a tenth at most to find with this car, it was a really good lap.

The only thing driving the gold/silver/bronze times is the top time. When it ended, the top time was a 1:11.385 so the bronze cap was 1:18.524. If you were better than that, I don't know why it didn't pop up automatically. Maybe try and reboot the game?

1:56.7 on the Nurb in the Porsche. Almost a second safe at the time. Might revisit and push a little more.

I decided to put in my first session at the Nurb before watching the video guides. 1:57.088 in the Porsche.

A couple of things I realized after watching the videos:
1. Holy crap! The aliens are fast and put in such incredible laps seemingly without a sweat.
2. I struggle with trail braking, so that may hinder me some in this TT.
3. I can abuse the track limits MUCH more than I realized. They entering extremely wide into the corners using all the curbing. And the chicane? I can seriously drive my car right over the bollard without penalty?? I reckon I could take off half a second or more there alone.

I'll give it another go this weekend, maybe tomorrow. I'm confident I can get into the mid 56's. More optimistically I would love to hit the 55's. And I'll still be a good second and a half on the aliens.

Managed to hold onto gold in the last one, so Doodle is still on my Christmas Card list (please note that this is a metaphorical list. Those on it are awesome; those who are removed owe me a beer.)

Took the Z4 for a few laps around Nurburgring (because someone had to) and got a 1:58.9. Then switched to the Supra and got that down to a 1:58.2. I've always been slow at this track, so I see many more laps ahead of me over the next two weeks.

As long as two wheels are on the red/white curb on the final chicane, it's fair game. There's a good chunk of time hanging out in that area.
